I recently diagnosed myself with AERD. What started as pregnancy-induced asthma, lasted for a couple years. Then, in 2019 I got a cold and lost my sense of smell. Then, at the beginning of 2021, I started having asthma attacks that wouldn’t let up...or so I thought. My asthma-allergy doc said I had laryngopharangael reflux. While on a low acid diet and Nexium to combat the silent acid reflux, I took ibuprofen for a headache and had another ‘asthmas attack’ that wouldn’t respond to my rescue inhaler. After two more times of that happening, I did research on ibuprofen allergies and found AERD. The polyps are terrible! Most treatments have not worked for me. And since I do not have insurance, I have had to reach out to pharmaceutical companies to get help paying for my asthmas med and now trying to get help paying for a biological medicine to see if it will reduce the polyps so I can breathe through my nose again. Most days it is slammed shut.
Thank you, Larisa!!

Have you tried the cayenne pepper treatment to help temporarily desensitize so you can eat higher salicylate foods? It was a game-changer for me.
