Add a one gallon zip lock bag. You can use it to collect, contain and carry water, and to purify water using UV purification system by laying it in the bright sun for an hour. You can use it to keep your phone (and EDC pouch) dry if you get in a downpour, or have to forge a stream, or have do duck into a ditch for a tornado. Emergency floatation device (fill it with air and stick it under your shirt - or your kid's shirt.) And you can use it has a handy carrying bag if you happen to come across fresh wild blueberries. One gallon zip lock bag. Add it to your little bag.
That's a great EDC! Instead of centralized pouch storage, I space things out among five pockets. I attach my flashlight, charging cable and meds to my keys. I carry paper and pen in my Allett wallet, along with Purell, Iodine and Shout pads plus a Dude wipe and a SwissCard. My one-handed opening knife is clipped to my right front pocket. In that pocket I keep chapstick, a Victorinox Companion and a mini Altoids trouble kit. In my watch pocket, I keep a butane ligher and pry bar. If I do it right, all the weight and bulk is pretty evenly spaced out. That said, I love your organization!
Great edc kit! On a whim a few years ago I took about a dozen twist ties from the produce section of the grocery store and added them to my pouch. I was really amazed at how often they came in handy for random things. Now I have a few in every one of my pouches.
Great video. I think I'd dump the pad and just keep afew sheets of paper and a small pen from a bookies. In place of the pad, how about a Mylar Space Blanket and a Bin Liner (Garbage bag) for shelter (with the cordage) Also a 2ft square of Tin Foil (fire reflector or cup/pot to boil water), zip lock freezer bag (for water), puritabs and a small Ferro Rod. A wire saw wouldn't take up much room, either. In the UK, the biggest danger from a "hike" is an unexpected Night on the Moors or Hills and the threat of Hypothermia.
Nice kit! I just picked up the Maxpedition Skinny to organize my sling bag. Great idea stuffing cotton in the cap of the chapstick. I really like the little first aid kit too
This is a very good EDC go bag. A few suggestions: get rid of the notebook and carry 3by5 post-it-notes. I carry mine folded in half. Putting a note on a mirror, post, car window, or door is needed more than you think. The hardest thing for me, and I think for most, is deciding on one multitool. I spent a lot of energy before limiting my mine to the Nextool Flagship mini. Previously I had a SAK Rambler , and Leatherman Squirt. The one thing I did not see is a flint and one match. In small packs I prefer that over a bic.
Great idea, I love post-it-notes!! I will also throw a pack of matches in the waterproof pouch! As for the flint, I think that may need to be saved for special occasions. I haven't been so far from civilization, that I've need one, in quite a while.
I have the same pouch (tan color). Did a video a bit back. We have much of the same things. I keep a 600 or 1000 grit, small diamond stone. Also a Boker pen with a t-6 and t-8 torx bit and, as always, band-aids. 😅 There a very good little pocket pouch.
great kit. I have something very similar, but I also added some micro cord and a few zip ties. But honestly, the thing I use more than anything else is hand wipes and Pepto pills--rarely for myself, but I've been able to help out numerous people around me.
You can pick these up at camping supply stores and I think they even have them at Walmart. They did have these on Amazon but they are currently unavailable.
Great video nicely presented. Great edc too. For me there is 1 but: Where do you keep a package like that? You need a large pocket for it so that would mean you need to bring a coat along too. Is it possible to clip it on your belt or something like that?
You make a valid point. Normally when I'm carrying an item like this, it's usually in my hand or in cargo pants pockets. But if I'm hiking or just walking a lot, those options are very uncomfortable. Maybe a carabineer to hang it from my belt. Or add a strap to fully complete the man purse that it is. 😂
Forget benadryl. Use a 2nd generation antihistamine for allergy relief without drowsiness. Some over the counter options in the US are cetirizine (Zyrtec), fexofenadine (Allegra), and loratadine (Claritin).
You're right. I should have those too. But the Benadryl is more for anaphylactic allergic reactions. In conjunction with epipens. And yes, I forgot those at home too. 🤦♂️
Perhaps a little bit of high strength cordage or some type. -> 9KM DWLIFE Braided Kevlar Cord, 100lb 0.8mm 100Ft, High Tensile Strength, Abrasion, Flame Retardant, Kite String, Fishing Line, Model Rocket Shock, Hammock Tarp Ridgeline, Tactical Survival Paracord
a lot of uneccesary items in my opinion. i always have my wallet with me that has in it meds, pen papper, cards cash etc...since its ilegal to go outside without an ID on you. I also always have my phonw, but really i can live only with my apple watch since i can pay with it, i can call from it, without even having the phone with me. thats a really big puch for a lot of useless stuff, like the letharman i find it completly useless. i would put a power bank, maybe one of those solar charged ones it you are stranded for more time, and a charger, mine isn't solar powered since ill never walk away too much from a power supply.
Sounds like you need to get outside some more. Step away from the power grid once in a while. Lol. Kidding, of course but honestly I can't leave home without a multitool of sorts. But the power bank is a great idea. I have one that will fit in my wallet and would be perfect for this kit.
@@SurvivingtheDaily Yes to both, I found out I was insulin resistant, and my body can't have carbs, or sugars and starches. It is reversible, but it requires fasting and the keto diet, so I have had to follow a strict diet. The insulin resistance was making my blood pressure, along with a few other things out of control, I had no choice, so within 4-6 months I have lost the weight as a result. My blood pressure is way better, and while still on the diet (I'll need to be) for 3-6 more months, I will lose more. My energy is starting to come back, and I am starting to feel normal more of the time.
Maybe a pair of disposable gloves or two should be added. Also, a very small bottle of super glue can be handy for just in case situations. Lastly, I would add a small zip ties too.
It really seems to me like you should just get a purse. That way you can carry everything you want. Call it a manbag if you want. But it's really a purse you need.
A fair sized piece of heavy duty aluminum foil ~ besides obvious uses, small pieces as trail markers, signal panel, sucking wound seal, boil water to purify (line a hole and use hot rocks), extra warmth (place inside your clothes) . . .

Fantastic idea!! Especially for collecting water.
Nice one!
I additionally always carry a toothpick, a plastic bag/zip bag, compressed towel, zip tie - do not need much weight or space
I love those ideas!

That is a very interesting way to carry things. One that maybe I should explore myself. Sounds very lightweight too!

Whoa!! The Maxpedition Skinny is new to me. Very interesting. When can we expect a review video?
@@SurvivingtheDaily UPS just threw it into the bushes in front of my house. So soon.
Can't hire good help these days. Grrrrrr.
Just came across this video…great compact kit…I understand that feeling of not having crucial gear on hand…keep up the great content…subscribed 🤙🏽
I really appreciate it! And I love that you get it. It's like forgetting your kids at home. 😂

That’s an awesome backup edc pouch!!! Well done!
Thank you very much! And thank you "A" for watching!

Ahhhh, great idea. Though instead of pepto I may add a roll of tums. I am always looking for those.
i love the idea of an edc go bag! need to build one myself now haha
I would be interested in hearing what you put in yours.
If it has webbing on the back it’s the Mini. Looks great! I suggest adding a small ferro rod, fresnel lens and guitar pick (for tinder).
That makes it very easy to figure out. Thank you! I have the perfect ferro rod for this pack.
Pretty good basic kit. Great for addressing small problems. Have all the basic EDC in one pouch .
I hope to make it even more useful by adding a few other items.
Bonjour, vraiment un super kit EDC 👍
Merci beaucoup mon ami!
Where did you get that little plastic pouch with the first aid stuff in it ?
You can pick these up at camping supply stores and I think they even have them at Walmart. They did have these on Amazon but they are currently unavailable.
Try this one. I just bought two

@SurvivingtheDaily thanks I got the last one I use the alpaca zip pouch pro and wanted to carryvsome extra meds in it and first aid stuff .
Awesome use for it. Let me know what you think of it.
I think a little whistle would be a great edition for emergencies so you dont have to scream for help
Fantastic idea! Now I just have to remember where I put it. I swear I am not normally this disorganized. LOL
Great video nicely presented. Great edc too.

There is a couple feet of kevlar cord inside but you're right, there should be more. Cordage is an amazing tool.
Good looking kit. Perhaps a battery and cord to charge your phone.
That should have been the first thing I put in there. Thank you!
AWESOME video 🎉
Thank you Sarah, as always!!
add a finger nail clipper?
I know I'm weird but I prefer to do that at home.
@@SurvivingtheDaily this in case - your finger nail gets snagged - not cutting your fingernails at work or something

Excelente EDC. Felicitaciones
I think it is all your basic needs, except maybe some salt, and some sort of snack food, or something to eat, maybe an electrolyte powder.
It might do me well to miss a meal or two. 😂 But the electrolyte powder is a great idea.

Wrap your bic lighter with duct tape... Fire starter & well duct tape if needed
Cannot go wrong with duct tape!!! Thank you for checking out the vid! Much appreciated.
I have the same maxpedition pouch, that is a great start. I also have some cash and American Express gift card in case I don't have or lose my wallet.
Brilliant idea!!! Gift cards are so underrated these days in peoples EDCs
Very nice 👍
Thank you! Cheers!

Geez….I have gone hiking and to diners thousands of times with just my wallet. Honest question….What exactly do you expect happen?
I carry a knife, a flashlight and a lighter with me all day, everyday. When they are not on me, I feel naked.
