How to check for a tongue tie

This is a basic run down of how I assess the oral motor skills or baby and for the presence of tongue tie. This is NOT a parent tutorial for completing an evaluation, it's to show how a proper assessment should be done. This would typically done by a skilled/trained professional like a speech or occupational therapist, pediatric dentist, or special trained ENT doctor. If your healthcare provider only looked at the baby's tongue without doing a full hands on assessment like this, your healthcare provider did not actually check for ties.
This video is mean for education purposes only. Exercises should be done under the direct supervision of a trained therapist or IBCLC as the needs of every baby are different.

The people commenting have no idea about the necessary exercises to help babies who struggle to breastfeed. I wish I had had help earlier with nu daughter. Lots of tears were shed before anyone helped me

First of all the babies mother is right there learning from the specialist second of all she is not hurting the baby she is helping the baby and the mother do your research before u run your chops

Бедные малышки не успели родиться над ними как только не изголяются может это и нужно но я не могу видеть как они суют палец в ротик ребенку хоть и в перчатке малыш ждет что его будут кормить .
