love your reaction, and YES, Ruler said: "I saw the angle, and i took that" he kill Faker and won Worlds in 2017. Then 2023, 7 years later, Faker said that same thing and get revenge on Ruler, he kill Ruler and won Worlds. Man, like watching a anime in real life
18:10 My guy, that arena is the Beijing National Stadium aka the Bird’s Nest. It was built to host the Olympics. Something to note about Worlds is that the championships are huge events. The latest one was held in O2 Arena in London.
Regarding the Leagues you were trying to recall: LPL = China LCK = Korea LEC = Europe LCS = North America What makes Faker even more special is who he is in general. - He had an arrogant-ish attitude for some time when he debuted as a Rookie and stomp everything but he was never toxic in any aspect. Even when league is known for it's toxicity and there have been plenty of professional players with "outrage/scandals" around this. After that he became one of the humblest professionals out there. - He earns roughly ~6M $ per year (rough estimates with ad contracts / salaries etc.), yet he lives extremely frugal. He spents only a few hundred bucks per month. One aspect for that is that he gets all daily necessities he needs in the T1 HQ etc. but overall he doesn't "flex" his wealth or anything and is very responsible with it. Invested in Real Estate and the parent company of T1. So he is in effect stakes holder in the team he plays with. - He never uses Skins in the game (there are like 5-6 exceptions in thousands of games he played) because he wants to prove that you don't need anything to perform and everyone can do it. Even when Riot made a cash Grab and released a 500$ Skin for the Hall of Legends Event he refuses to use it. There are many many more things to say about him, for how he interacts with the community or how he respects every other player (even minor regions/player that are leagues below him) etc. He is the type of player where you can just fully accept that he deserved it all and hold no resentment against him. Which you can't say about all "GOATs" in Sports.
I agree fully. And yet, some "people" still find a way to hate him. My mind doesn't get how a person can hate Faker. It HAS TO BE butthurt fans of teams he beat and jealous people in general.
Fully Agree as an KT Fan forever, I should really hate him but i do not man. i can not hate him! he just seems such a good person even tho he destroyed us so many times in the derby SKT (T1) vs KT i am happy for him. btw hopefully KT can win a world cup on my lifetime too :D
Faker is so incredibly far ahead of everyone else in accomplishments that you could literally divide them all in half and he would still have a comfortable lead over the next closest person. Out of the 11 years that Korea has been able to compete for the Worlds title, Faker has personally won 5 of them. That is an absolutely insane statistic when you realize how competitive the game is, especially in Asia. Most players "age out" around 23-25 years old at most. The average career length for a League pro is 2-3 years. He's been doing it almost 12 years. Even if he retired now, there's probably not enough years left in the game's lifetime for anyone else to catch him.
I think especially if you look at multiple world champions it is essentially after him there are other players who have 2 or 3 world titles and most of those are or were his teammates so nobody is close in regards to his titles.
@@megamert2848 Yea, this is it. There are players with multiple titles. His team mates. That's in no way to discredit them at all, you're not a teammate of Faker if you're not incredibly good at the game. But some of those teams he carried.
@@Londronable Yeah. Bengi is maybe deserving if he is still playing. But a player that I found astonishing now is Beryl. Imagine winning 2 world titles in a different team that's not T1. Considering T1 is so strong. Out of the 11 they won 5. Imagine getting 2 more out of that 6.
The lyrics of the song Phoenix you watched in your lol worlds songs video is mostly about what you watched here, facing your own demons and the people that doubt you (Showing faker during that period of time). In my opinion that song is really underrated.
Hey man! I really enjoyed your reaction to the anthems and this one too. As for those clean transitions, like when he was sitting crying and then on the throne, they were part of the teasers for worlds 2023. They were just incredible, the storytelling that year was top-notch. Especially the T1vsJDG and T1vsWBG. This year finals teaser was also great. Check it if you can, they are really good!
He has been making 10s of millions of people happy for over 10 years. It's really not an exaggeration to call him a global icon. All of that success couldn't have happened to a better person.
You're right in saying that he's incredibly humble, I also think there was a publication or clip somewhere that despite his downright INSANE salary, he spends $200 a month on living expenses and also donates quite a lot of his money to charity, as well as not buying any skins including his own because he finds them too expensive, which shows to me at least, that he doesnt care about anything monetary or materialistic
I mean he owns an entire office building and a house with indoor outdoor pool/sauna. Hes able to spend so little per month because T1 has an entire legal team set up to help their players manage and invest their money. Faker tower exists lol floors are rented out to other various things. Its a weird status thing in korea to own office buildings i remember reading about it
besides not understanding the actual game you picked up everything else really well. i've bingewatched reactions to this in the past and most people don't read the text as fast and understand who everyone speaking is as well as you. made for a good informed reaction from the point of view of a lol noob, great to see and entertaining to watch!
Basically initially Faker was so much better he could do whatever the fuck he wanted. But as people appeared equal to him in execution and mechanical skill he could no longer simply outplay people. He simply didn't have that gap anymore. Chovy for example is currently likely the best player in the world and will generally gap Faker early game. And as he himself said, he had to learn to actually play the optimal style. He could no longer just fuck around or he would find out. But still man. This last worlds in oktober was fucking crazy. T1 in 2024 BARELY made worlds. It game down to the last game. And then they just went off during world. Faker styled on Chovy. It truly was just a very special tournament.
"Chovy best player". Please stop with this bullshit. We keep hearing about washed Faker since 2014. He won 2013, didn't qualify in 2014 and we keep hearing this bs. They said Marin and Smeb were mvps. They said all kind of bullshit. One thing is - only Faker has 5 worlds. He achieved that with different teams (different players). How is chovy better? Makes no sense.
@@jkepic25 In terms of mechanical skill, chovy is definitely a top 2 contender for best player in the world right now. Just cause he gets gapped by the greatest of all time doesnt mean that he doesnt deserve that respect.
40:33 Riot needs to rebrand it to Hall of Faker. Literally, no one will measure up to the standards and achievements of Faker, whether retired or active players at the moment 😅 He is entirely a league of his own. 43:14 This is also what sets him apart among the icons of esports. Of course they are great esports players among the big league titles like COD, DOTA2 etc., but in the oftentimes toxic environments of esports, Faker has remained as a good example of what an athlete should be.
In 10:24 , for people who still confused or have no idea how impressive he was in this play. Cassiopeia Ult will petrify champs who face to her when casting it, so the way to avoid being petrified is turn away to another direction. Usually after using Flash, most player won't click in the other direction to avoid petrifying. But somehow Faker can predict it and he turn away immediately after Flash to dodge the petrifying from Cassiopeia's Ult.
about Caps (20:44), back then he was called 2nd to Faker, he was really really good, to hear that from him... well, damn 31:50 - yes, exactly! LCK is Korean league, LCS is European, LPL is Chinese. We could also talk about US league, but people retire there, as the level of skill is low there His thumbs up at the ends is also iconic, if you'll look at all of his photos with fans/other players, he does it. He was so awkward kid at first, even after many wins. So it was his "default" pose. If I'd have to put in Hall of League other people, well, for sure one of them would be... first winner of first season, one and only - xPeke, he made first season for us, he made that many players wanted to play this game, his play style was first chance to look how innovation can be brought to league. His team created current standard of lanes (1 top, 1 mid, 1 jungle, 2 bot), before it was chaos like 1 top, 1 bot, 3 mid or other shenanigans but they showed how to effectively play the game.
For the 83 champions he'd played, theres currently 169 overall, on top of that there are 5 rolls in league of legends so the fact he's played basically half of the champion pool all in one roll, when most aren't considered viable to play midlane is crazy, and then on top of that he's doing it at the very highest level of play too.
Yaaay! Thank you for the reaction! Their documentaries indeed give goosebumps! Especially the one about T1 “how T1 defied all odds”. Just the production, the transitions and the music choice for these documentaries are insane!
12:30 If you remember 2018 anthem, Ambition was the main character in that. Ambition lost to T1 in 2016 in the final but they came back in 2017 to beat T1.
For context, MOST of the best ranked players play 1-3 champions only. Their next best 10 champions are probably 2-3 tiers lower performance for them. Faker could play 50+ champions to absolute elite level in the biggest tournaments ever.
It's honestly wild that I've watched all this happen since seeing clips of his first game. Been through college and getting into my career and still this dudes here. Everytime I see this video it just bring up emotions of watching all the wins and losses. Dang. The opening ceremonies are almost all great in general. I think there is one pretty rough one that kind of got phoned it but aside from that.
Theres a very popular saying in League If you want to be the best, you need to beat Faker but not just once. You have to do it year after year as long as that man remains in the game. That is probably the reason many people hate him. Theres no room for another "Greatest" when he is around. If you see his stats in "The numbers" you will understand that nobody will come close to him for 2-3 years even if he retires tomorrow. Then again he is ready to take another fight next year so yeah theres a lot of players being called great but they are really far in Fakers performance. Just having 5 worlds throphy is insane. Nobody aside from SKT T1 players has more than 2 worlds win. Faker has 5. Nobody else aside T1 managed to get a back to back win in Worlds and Faker managed to do it twice.
if you want more from this angle of LoL to react to, you gotta do the Worlds Opening Ceremonies as a reaction next, ideally along with some of the teasers (there are several crazy ones like the 2019 semifinals and 2024 swiss stage, but THE ones to watch are the 2023 finals, 2024 T1 vs Gen.G semifinal, and the 2024 finals). The transitions you commented on at the end, like the one from 2017 Faker crying to 2023 Faker rising, are from these teasers and simply lifted into this video. The teasers are all directed with that level of hype
Faker in comparison to how big the name is probably like Messi or Ronaldo in soccer, Jordan in basketball and Schumacher in motor racing. This lad is a pure legend! UNDENIABLE!
Seeing how much you loved the transition, you could react to the swiss stage of worlds 2023/2024, aswell as the teaser for semi final and final of worlds 2023 and 2024. You would love them Im sure. And prepare to feel emotional for final 2024 teaser
oh shit the Faker Documentary like 3 days after the Anthems. god damn next are the whole Opening Ceremonies ? or what are we doing ? xD if you want to know more about the LoL Lore as a whole (not just Piltover and Zaun where Arcane takes place) there is a guy called "Necrit" on YT who explains the Lore of LoL. I think the most accurate version is "The World of Riot's MMO is already done" but he also has a video titles "the complete story of LoL".
The crazy thing with Faker being the first inductee is the discussion around it. Traditional sports usually only start the tradition of Hall of Fame when the first generation of GOATs has retired. But Faker is not only arguably the best player period, he is also one of the longest-lasting. Riot Games wanted to start the tradition of the Hall of Fame but ran into a problem: The probably best player was still actively competing and didn't look like he was going to stop any time soon. Especially for e-sports, for a game/genre that hasn't been tested for longetivity yet like Starcaraft has for RTS for example, Riot was put into a tough spot: start the Hall of Fame even though the best player was still active or wait until he retires and risk the game becoming less relevant by then. Even if we consider that League might be as lasting as other older e-sports, it would take another decade at least to produce another player as acomplished as Faker. So they decided to just put him in there, even though his story isn't even over yet.
Fam you need to watch the semi finals and grand finals teasers it builds the hype up before the games and also you gotta catch Faker's lines in those teasers THEY HIT HARD
35:02 this guy is Khan another legendary player and a former T1 player (TOP Laner) you should check a video about him "the player that saved league of legends" it's such a good video.
International events are interesting in LoL because each region develops its own meta and then they crash together. Sometimes 1 wins out, sometimes it changes mid tournament.
is that Strike Freedom and u also have a Destiny at the back sir? and the red one is it Justice? WHAT A TASTE! all those smooth transitions were clips from LoL Teasers which are a must watch videos starting from the 2023 one
I started watching Competitive COD in 2012 and still do to this day (can't wait for Madrid) and started watching/playing LOL and CS in 2015 when i switched to PC, I love COD and all esports but nothing will ever come close to LOL with it's esports, Lore and Fandom it's so far clear
what i find funny is, when listing accomplishments under their name(in matches/tournaments etc..), Faker's are only Championship titles meanwhile others include below champions and STILL have less this damn guy. It's just so crazy how someone's peak is Faker's passing record.
When Faker was out for a month in 2023 T1 lost more games in that one month without him than they did the entire 2 years before with him. And now they've won Worlds again after being 1 game away from not even qualifying. Faker is just different.
RIOT always know how to make amazing drama with the player on their championship whether it LOL or Valorant.. The Player also have something that make the drama more amazing, FAKER just a LEGEND for that STORY
Venues for league are usually in different arenas... like this year.. as far as i remember there was at least 4 venues... and usually one of those venues are special venues.. like the one you saw where faker cried.. Was the Bird's Nest Olympic arena in china... Riot though being clowned with their prize pool.. really leave no money behind with their venues..
15:54 their 2024 world’s jersey and jacket is the best so far (it’s in white though, but the lining of the jacket is a collage of the org’s winning history), there is an on going superstition that even years wore light colored jerseys and won odd years wore dark and won, so far, it’s proving true. That is why in 2024, most teams wore white…and shocker. T1 wore white and won (they wore black in 2023 and won.😅). T1 (formerly SKT Telecom, rebranded in 2019) is the only (and faker) is the only team to win 5 times in Worlds. Prior to their most recent win in 2024, the only org to get back to back champions (2015-2016), and because of 2024, the only team to get back to back for a 2nd time. Azael, a caster for LCS (LTA now for the 2025 season, the league for the Americas) pointed out this fact, they are the only team writing league history because they were able to get back to back twice before any other league’s could go back to back once.
Thanks for reaction! I think you should react to match teasers next. All those transitions that you've liked in this video were actually from the trailers. They are ruly insane lately. I had cried watching the last finals trailer. If you want to watch them, you should react to them in the next order: 1. 2023 Swiss stage trailer 2. 2023 JDG VS T1 semifinals trailer 3. 2023 WBG VS T1 grand finals trailer 4. 2024 GENG VS T1 semifinals trailer 5. 2024 BLG VS T1 grand finals trailer
I'm trying to tell ya'll who's the maker of the documentary and all of the comments disappears? Give some credit to Phil Choi man, his works is insanely good. Go give him some love! 💛
Noone other than faker has more than 2. And of the 9 others with 2, 7 won both of theirs with faker and 1 won one of his with faker. So there is only 1 player who has multiple titles who didn't do it while plaing with him. If Faker himself or T1 for that matter were their own region they would be the most succesful in the world. Their dominance is truly wild.
Faker is one of few League players who are on my level. I am not his fan but i respect good players who are on my level. I decided that its better for me not get famous so i am now playing League only sometimes with my lower Elo friends who are mostly Stuck in Master and dont understand League at All. League is great game only problem is that players are somehow unable to get good at League even after thousand of hours , even if League is super easy game to get good at and even average IQ people Can reach Challenger in my opinion. Not many people understand League and thats other reason i am slowly quitting League after 15000+ hours. Game is not fun Once you get too good and you are forced to play Challenger to have decent League experience which is really Bad. 99% of players dont even know Basics of the game and cant reach Master Elo level. Its just sad. But its still great game.
UA-cam's automatic subtitles do not translate your words, but rather the dialogue on the screen you are watching. So, when setting up automatic subtitles, it is better to set them in your native language and have the viewer translate back to their own language.

Nobody aside from SKT T1 players has more than 2 worlds win. Faker has 5. Nobody else aside T1 managed to get a back to back win in Worlds and Faker managed to do it twice.
Holy shit, I didn't even realize that Faker was quoting the "I saw the angle" from ruler when he was caught. Good eye.
if you want more from this angle of LoL to react to, you gotta do the Worlds Opening Ceremonies as a reaction next, ideally along with some of the teasers (there are several crazy ones like the 2019 semifinals and 2024 swiss stage, but THE ones to watch are the 2023 finals, 2024 T1 vs Gen.G semifinal, and the 2024 finals). The transitions you commented on at the end, like the one from 2017 Faker crying to 2023 Faker rising, are from these teasers and simply lifted into this video. The teasers are all directed with that level of hype
being a pro player must be soooo fun but also very very difficult and taxing
they practice soooo much every day its crazy
would be my dream job lul
Faker in comparison to how big the name is probably like Messi or Ronaldo in soccer, Jordan in basketball and Schumacher in motor racing. This lad is a pure legend! UNDENIABLE!
I would said Sebastien loeb for Rally
Being Faker a National Treasure is no joke. Winning Worlds and winning Gold makes him exempt in undergoing military service
Guy is literally the Michael Jordan of League Of Legends
Seeing how much you loved the transition, you could react to the swiss stage of worlds 2023/2024, aswell as the teaser for semi final and final of worlds 2023 and 2024. You would love them Im sure. And prepare to feel emotional for final 2024 teaser
oh shit the Faker Documentary like 3 days after the Anthems. god damn
next are the whole Opening Ceremonies ? or what are we doing ? xD
if you want to know more about the LoL Lore as a whole (not just Piltover and Zaun where Arcane takes place) there is a guy called "Necrit" on YT who explains the Lore of LoL. I think the most accurate version is "The World of Riot's MMO is already done" but he also has a video titles "the complete story of LoL".
if you separate his SKTT1 and T1 Stats, the SKTT1 Faker would be the best and the T1 Faker the second best midlaner in League history🍷🗿
You need to watch the worlds teasers! The shot of Faker crying to sitting is from the teasers which are top notch.
Some notes:
LCK - Korea
LPL - China
LCS - North America
LEC - Europe
"WHAT'S NEXT?" 5th trophy babe!!!!!!
you gotta watch the match teasers for worlds games, the T1 vs GenG trailer, flyquest vs GenG and T1 vs BLG trailers were absolute cinema
so this is the second time i watch the whole thing haha ..emotional every time.
35:02 this guy is Khan another legendary player and a former T1 player (TOP Laner) you should check a video about him "the player that saved league of legends" it's such a good video.
You should definitely check out the yearly cinematics riot puts out
we got wemby now boy, better times ahead GSG
International events are interesting in LoL because each region develops its own meta and then they crash together. Sometimes 1 wins out, sometimes it changes mid tournament.
Faker is a crazy sumb1tch... but he's still modest and humble, glad he is our GOAT in LOL👊🏽👏🏼
is that Strike Freedom and u also have a Destiny at the back sir? and the red one is it Justice? WHAT A TASTE!
all those smooth transitions were clips from LoL Teasers which are a must watch videos starting from the 2023 one
I have destiny but on my shelf it's just infinite justice/justice and freedom!
Faker is definitely the main character in this anime
Back then Faker literally makes the meta and the others just follows.
Esports can be exist because of Starcraft league from South Korea started in 90s big companies sponsored like Cocacola and Korean companies
When Faker was out for a month in 2023 T1 lost more games in that one month without him than they did the entire 2 years before with him. And now they've won Worlds again after being 1 game away from not even qualifying. Faker is just different.
Reminder that faker has a literal tower named after him that he owns in Korea
you need to watch Worlds Teasers for sure
RIOT always know how to make amazing drama with the player on their championship whether it LOL or Valorant.. The Player also have something that make the drama more amazing, FAKER just a LEGEND for that STORY
yeah hes for sure got that aura, especially in Korea
The current Worlds trophy was designed by Tiffany & Co.
Please I beg, watch "How T1 Defied All Odds | T1 Rose Together" has to be the best documentary.
If you want to watch them, you should react to them in the next order:
1. 2023 Swiss stage trailer
2. 2023 JDG VS T1 semifinals trailer
3. 2023 WBG VS T1 grand finals trailer
4. 2024 GENG VS T1 semifinals trailer
5. 2024 BLG VS T1 grand finals trailer
He should react 2024 worlds Swiss teaser as well!
Watch the numbers video and teaser video before 2023 quarterfinals, semis and finals
Great video you should watch Faker The Number !
Awesome reaction man! You should check out "The Numbers" video for faker you'll be surprised how goated he really is.
Faker is to LoL what Nadeshot would've been to COD if Nadeshot wasn't shit.
watch this: How T1 Defied All Odds | T1 Rose Together
It''s so hyped
I'm trying to tell ya'll who's the maker of the documentary and all of the comments disappears?
Give some credit to Phil Choi man, his works is insanely good. Go give him some love! 💛
It’s sort of funny that League, known for being the most toxic game, has the least controversial and most chill GOAT of all time.
He is him.
GOAT
Noone other than faker has more than 2. And of the 9 others with 2, 7 won both of theirs with faker and 1 won one of his with faker. So there is only 1 player who has multiple titles who didn't do it while plaing with him.
If Faker himself or T1 for that matter were their own region they would be the most succesful in the world. Their dominance is truly wild.
Faker 🐐
league has over 170 champs right now.
You gotta se the promotional videos those are fire, you gotta lear why he is the one liner god(drop 1 line hard af video end xD)
젠장,,,, 또 대상혁이야....! 숭배..해야만 해...
LEC = Europe
LCS = North America
LPL = China
LCK = Korea
Please react 2024 all the worlds teasers! From Swiss stage to London finals
Holy
Let me put it this way, Faker has the most World trophies with 5, second place goes to his teamate who was with him 3 out of 5 times.
Is the noragami series over? Rly sad about that
I'm not sure if anyone will get added to the Hall Of Legends tbh. I think the closest person would be Chovy if he wins worlds.
bengi
plz react to 2024 worlds semifinal teaser( T1 vs GEN.G) and 2023 semifinal teaser (T1 vs JDG) ❤❤
2024 who next? , faker won 5th worlds...
Try to watch the world's teaser.
plz react to T1 rose together documentary ❤❤(same productor)
"somebody tell me in the comments what the divisions are"
brother you have internet and are watching the video, why not just search it up quick so you get better context while watching the rest of the video instead of just looking at the comments after the video is finished
You can play League. Actually don't do it. It will consume you and all you are gonna want to do is League all day.
not what a noob means
Lck - league champions korea
Lcs league champions series
