This is a good one, One of the things I like about you is you are not a doll snob. I'm sure you know what I mean. This was fun to watch and you have again proven that it doesn't take a lot of money to have some very lovely dolls. I find it wonderful to bring back a lost dolly I find them and they look so sad and when I'm done they they look great. Take Care
I do know what you mean, I love all types of dolls. Some of my least expensive dolls are some of my favorites. You definitely don't have to have a lot of money to be a doll collector and have a great collection 🥰
I love that she isn't a doll snob as well! She's so genuine with her videos. I love the new one with her petite Blythe where she does the excited song and dance lol
The best thrift store find I've ever seen was when my mom and I went to one of our favorite thriftstores and in the toy section we noticed there were several vintage dolls mixed in with the modern ones. My mom did a little digging and found an Amosandra doll which is a rubber Black baby doll made in the late 40s or early 50s. My mom had one just like it when she was a little girl. What was so amazing about it is what good condition the doll is in. Most of these rubber dolls have melted, crumbled, or otherwise deteriorated over the years but this one only has a few cracks here and there and the paint in it looks great. On top of that we paid only about 5 dollars for it. My mom was so excited to add this nostalgic doll to her collection.
Your beautiful collection is giving me real joy, hearing about the dolls is lovely . The back ground n little tips always make me feel I learned something. X
I agree with you, it's so nice to go to the thrift markets and find these wonders and give them a second chance ... Surely the most satisfying purchase was a Furga doll from the 70s and which I paid only 7 euros. ^-^
I love watching your videos, you have such similar struggles to mine! Lol! My hubby won't let me go to thrift shops as much anymore bc of all the cute dolls. 😂😂
I bring soooo many in and then I don't get around to fixing them up 😂 I still have a whole pile of project dolls to go through and we are at almost a year of quarantine 😂
This was such a fun video! I love your Crissy doll,😱😍 and my other favorites of your finds are definitely your Nancy Doll and the Paris dolls! Thank goodness you didn’t sell your Nancy,,, because she is the Diamond of dolls! Happy Sunday!💖💖💖
SO fun to watch this one. I love how appreciative you are of your "finds" They are definitely living their best life. Thanks for another awesome video.
Great finds! When I lived in USA I always went to Goodwill and checked out all the dolls. I never found any collectible dolls for me but I did get a lot of doll clothes when I wasn't making the clothes myself. And when I started making the clothes I looked in thrift stores for unusual fabric on hooman clothing. :) I bought some MH dolls and used them to practice hybridizing and painting on too. Best item I ever found was a leatherTory Burch Tote bag. I couldnt believe that it was still hanging there and nobody knew what it was. It was the real deal too. :) Happy Doll Year !
HellomAlison, Thank you for sharing. I too love to rescue dolls from thrift store and yard sales. My best finds were 2 Karito Kids, Zoe and Piper. These 21" dolls have beautiful faces.
What beautiful finds. I also love finding thriftstore finds, we don't have a flea market near where I live. My first ones were an early PC Kirsten, I bought for 20$ I have replaced her wig(kept the original) she has bubble eye I won't replace this as she has the softest eyelashes imaginable, and needs her limbs restrung, but I love her dearly. Then a MA Forever Friend I rewigged, dressed and gifted my granddaughter. My best find an original early Shirley Temple doll that had a paper tag inside the head, she needs restringing for 8$. I also love Gotz dolls, my AG Elizabeth needed rewigging too. I also am on the lookout for the animator collection dolls, so far I have 4. And I have the redhead Chrissy and found the AA Chrissy at the same store.
My favorite find was a porcelain doll missing a hand. I believe she was $1.99. I brought her home, placed her on a shelf for about 5 months, and then felt like I could remake her hand. It is out of poly-clay, but looks pretty close to the porcelain.
Thank you! One of my best friends who doesn't collect dolls loves these too, so I'm going to try to do one a week, they seem to be popular and a little different and well liked 💜
Great video! Thank you for sharing. My favorite thrift store find was a vintage Blythe doll at the Salvation Army store for $4.00. I was shaking with excitement. I had just seen them on eBay for the first time just a day before and could not believe I found one. That was around 17 years ago. I end up selling her for $1,000.00 so my daughters and I could buy a few of the newer Takara dolls.
You are singing my song. My grandma took me to yard sales, flea markets and thrift stores as a kid. She was at one or all of them almost every Saturday. Since she's up in years she cant do it so much, but she still makes time for at least thrift stores. I don't know why, but for some reason where I live, dolls are rare to come by at flea markets. Particularly, ones I collect. My recent favorite find were 4 American Girl dolls for $30 apiece. There was Lanie, Caroline and two just like me dolls with a handful of clothes I found a Molly Pleasant Company doll for $25 and was able to rematch her with her clothes and fix her up. She had bubble eye so I had her eyes replaced. My mom found me American Girl Kit at that flea market in beautiful condition. I mean she was near complete. Then, that flea market closed down after I felt like they were finally starting to put out some good stuff. I even found a Gotz baby doll there. I'm glad I found the Molly before they closed. About a year or so before I had found a Pleasant Company Molly at a different flea market with cut bangs wearing the blue Girl of today ice skating dress. She was $25 and I didn't think I could do anything because of the bangs issue. Now i know I could have fixed that issue now, but I was pretty new to collecting. It's my greatest flea market regret. However, at the time, I also felt that was too much for a doll with cut bangs and still do. Sort of. I mostly regret it. One of the most surprising things I found was a composition Madame Alexander fairy queen doll from the late 1930s or early 1940s (she came on Pleasant Company doll stand). The guy wanted $25 for her and before I could pull it out he said, just give me $20. I was stunned. The crazing was not bad and she still wore the complete outfit she would have left the factory in back in the 1930s. I was blown away. These were probably my best finds. I haven't had super great luck lately. I'd faint if I ever saw a flea market with piles of dolls or swimming in American Girl. Fun to see what you found over the years.
Those are all really nice finds! My Grandma is also the one that got me hooked on flea markets and thrift stores! One day (hopefully this summer) when I can return to the flea market I'll have to make a video of the AG dolls. They're just ALL so expensive now at my local flea market 😫
@@brittanypreston8144 they will but they are already starting at $60, so they don't come down much from there. I'm usually looking for a deal, like under $20 😂
Great stories! The hunt and finds are thrilling. To get off subject you mentioned deleting a video. Videos are good for insurance purposes. Do you have a video on how you catalog and keep track of your entire collection? Do you have special insurance? Also can you make a video on dolls that has a really great original wardrobe? Seeing your favorite clothing finds would be fun. Also I would like to see your T shirts, sometimes they look pretty cool!
I don't have a video on that but I've mentioned it before, and I do have special insurance. A wardrobe video might be fun, I'll think of that! And I don't know how interested anyone else would be in my own personal wardrobe 😂 but I'll consider it 💜
My favorite thrift store doll find is probably when I found a Jinafire Long and Gigi Grant dolls from monster high. My favorite thrift store find though is when I found a 100+ dollar blanket for 6 dollars and the color tag was on sale so I got it for 2.50
Oh! Totally forgot to add the bitty boy twin for 25 cents!!!!!! His hair had been cut terribly, but that kinda thing no longer daunted me like PC molly that I had passed up
My childhood Crissy is just like yours. And I have been wanting a BFC Yuko for a long time, but they are too expensive on eBay, Indiana is a hard place to get good used dolls. We don't have Savers, only Goodwill, which takes anything nice for their website.
That's funny because I have a friend who lives in Illinois and he finds better stuff than I do at his local places! We do have a lot Goodwill's and not much else in the way of thrift stores, generally I do have better luck at the flea market. They closed our Goodwill outlet down so I never find dolls like my #1 anymore 😢

I love second hand dolls. I have gotten several American girl dolls including one for 2 dollars, her name is Nikita. I have gotten several animator dolls which I love. And I got a bfcink doll and a hearts for hearts doll for $4 for the pair. That was a great find. Oh and finding American girl doll animals for less then a dollar is always exciting. I got Kanani's seal that way for $0.25

Never heard of a Nancy doll, she’s beautiful and I love her hair! Her hair reminds me of hairstyles in the 80’s.
Disney Animator Mulan is my favorite. I look for her every time I go to the Flea Market.

I love the Lil Miss dolls! I grew up with them also and love finding them.
