Thanks for making this kit! I know DualShock 4 might be considered as a legacy controller (albeit one with a lot of lasting power thanks to PC support and backwards compatibility for PS5), but are there any plans for making any adjustable trigger stop kits that allow for both digital clicky/hair trigger and full analogue? Similar to the Dualsense Rise Plus MAX or the Xbox Flexor clicky kits? (I know there are already Extremerate adjustable trigger stop kits for PS4, but whilst active, these only shorten the L2/R2 travel within the existing analogue throw without offering any digital or clicky response). I'm planning on modifying an ExtremeRate ps4 clicky kit and fitting onto a Dualshock controller (JDM-055) in order for it to support full L2 and R2 analogue but with clicky buttons on everything else. Not sure yet if it'll work but I'm looking to try. I'll basically trim off the L2 and R2 portions of the clicky dualshock 4 clicky FPC (also desolder/remove the L2 and R2 resistor). I'll retain the DualShock 4's original (OEM) plastic conductive FPC, and simply place the modified clicky FPC right on top so that I can retain the original analogue input triggers. Thankfully your clicky kit fpc's conductive contact pads are double sided so they can sandwich in between the original plastic conductive sheet and the dualshock's motherboard and hopefully pass through any signals from any L2 and R2 inputs. This idea was directly inspired by the modified installation suggestion for dualsense BDM-30/40/50 Rise Plus Max install, where you can stack a modified clicky kit (with the L2 and R2 portions on the clicky kits trimmed off).
Update regarding the dualshock 4 clicky kit setup for anyone interested. My idea worked!!! By clipping the extremerate clicky FPC at and removing r2 + L2 and their resistors, you can stack this modified clicky fpc on top of the oem conductive fpc to retain full analogue on L2 and R2. Just be mindful that you'll need to make some slight modification along either the triggers or bumpers in order to allow the triggers to travel unimpeded. You can either: - clip the "fang" pieces on the OEM l2/r2 triggers, or - modify the r1 and L1 inserts provided in the clicky kits (such that the "fang" pieces on r2 and l2 don't collide or get obstructed by the r1 and L1 inserts). I'd recommend leaving the r2 and l2 fangs alone as those help keep the triggers and the silicon membrane far more stable at resting position.
I just built 2 ps5 controllers for myself on one I used the Luna biohazard shell and face clicky kit with a dtf led kit absolutely love it and just today I built a full clicky kit controller with the gold wave Luna shell
what does maping the touch pad and l3+r3 mean? do they stop functioning? or does it mean if you want to be able to modify their functions? I'm looking for a controller mod that is able to add 4 extra buttons to the back so that when i play fortnite for example, i can set the weapon slots to it and all other buttons of the controller should function as normal. Is this able to do that without the sawdering part?
It means that you'll be able to assign the back buttons to the touchpad and sticks. Just as you can assign the buttons on the back to be cross, square, L1, etc. The back buttons only replicate other inputs the controller already has. I don't play Fortnite so I don't know if there are dedicated buttons for the weapons slots.
You can replace the mini board with the board come with the kit and cut the switches off then it works, but you need to deal with the port area on the original bottom shell to make it fit with the Type C port.
hey i was wondering if i could use the rise 4 paddle kit and the eXtremeRate Micro Switch hair trigger on the same controller at the same time in a BDM-30 ps5 controller
Bought them and when I mapped the X on the right side it was working fine then stopped working I tried to remap it again and it didn’t work, any other bottom I could map in there but the x didn’t work at all
i dont understand why i cant load my batterie anymore and what haappens if you press the backbuttons-setting button twice?: it changes the colour but why is it just for colour or does it mean anything?
Just release the clicky face button mod for the switch pro controller already, been waiting years now for it, just release them already, im tired of PS4 and PS5 mods
As in the quality of the buttons, or the layout? Quality wise, I've started noticing ghost double inputs on one of my keys on an older Dawn kit I fitted in 2019. If you're referring to layout, then I'd disagree. I used to think this was an awkward config until I tried them and got used to it. I'd say this layout is actually my personal favourite layout and is the most ergonomic for all the back button kits I've installed so far from Extremerate. My middle fingers's inner portion/ phalanges can hit k3/k1, whilst the fingertips/pads/distal phalanges of the middle fingers can comfortably hit K2/K1. 4 back buttons can be handled seamlessly on only 2 fingers, the index fingers can handle shoulders and triggers, and the your pinky, ring finger, and palms can support holding the controller nicely. There's no awkward shuffling or weird bumps when moving between back buttons like I've found on the Rise 4 kits for PS5. And there's also no need to unbalance the way you hold the controller to access all 4 back buttons like I've found with the hope kits for Xbox.
Installed the old kit for a friend and he absolutely loves them. He has been running them for over a year with no complaint. If you do not like the button shape you can buy round buttons individually
Wast of money ahit customer service and 8 years later still using the same horrible back buttons don't wast yoir time thers much better company then this Chinese crap

this is something should be coming out very early, but finally we don’t need to grind the shell to diy type c any more🎉
Looking forward to see more creations from you. Intense video, ExtremeRate. I pounded your thumbs up symbol on your content. Keep the fantastic work.
Much appreciated!
Will probably get this to combine with my clicky kit!
is compatible?
@@marcosllbs It might probably be compatible. But I'm just guessing.
@@marcosllbs definitely compatible.

like always goodjob
Can y’all do one without the back buttons
Or maybe just an small plastic to cover the holes
make a remap kit with 2 button pls
niw this will be very nice for the PS5 Dualsense
Look at the other videos on their channel or the product pages online. There's a whole bunch of products for dualsense.
PLEASE PLEASEEE MAKE A USB C ONLY SWAP! ❤
I think it would have been better in the DECADE Tournament kit
We will try!
Agree
I did this myself by purchasing a USB C chip and scratching the back shell on a decade version
There was no point in adding those weird clip connectors, mines just broke
You mean those JST connectors for rgb kits? Yeah, not a fan I desoldered them off mine.
Hello i bought one of this but its not confortable , i think if you separate the paddles will be better
You’re gonna do mouse click triggers dualsense edge
No point it's got trigger stops already

is it possible to just do the USB C Mod without the backbuttons ?

How do I remap when every time I try to hold down the button to remap it just flashes red
hey i was wondering if i could use the rise 4 paddle kit and the eXtremeRate Micro Switch hair trigger on the same controller at the same time in a BDM-30 ps5 controller
Sure you can!
When will this be available for PS5 controllers? 😮
There is one…
Bought them and when I mapped the X on the right side it was working fine then stopped working I tried to remap it again and it didn’t work, any other bottom I could map in there but the x didn’t work at all
You can enter the self-check mode and check if the kit is working properly.
i dont understand why i cant load my batterie anymore and what haappens if you press the backbuttons-setting button twice?: it changes the colour but why is it just for colour or does it mean anything?
The color is the profile. You can save multiple profiles
possible to make a type c version of ps4 tournament decade kit?
Is there any plans to do a version with just 2 back buttons?
Could i use this on a jdm30 controller?
Just release the clicky face button mod for the switch pro controller already, been waiting years now for it, just release them already, im tired of PS4 and PS5 mods
I've decided I'll just use a brook adapter or 8bitdo adapter and one of my clicky button modded controllers instead nowadays as a stopgap solution.
لم افهم مالفرق بين pdm 20 و pdm 40
Will it work in chinese copy of ds4?
NO, only for original
Can you use this for your Ps5 and it's new games aka black ops 6?
first
Pls help
Terrible back buttons.
Agreed. Why are they pointed? If these were just small round buttons, it would be great.
Says somebody whose never used them. There's absolutely nothing wrong with them
