    Thanks much. As a Turkish man, I can say there is almost no this kind of videos in UA-cam Turkey. It's a great content for people like me who will marry soon :)

    I really cant believe youre not having more views then that. Im watching all your videos like i do with a lot of other tech channels, but your channel have just no views compared to how great your videos are. I really hope you continue until people notice you 😃 Really great videos! Support from Denmark 😃

    Does this sensor have the option in Homekit to do something if motion is NOT detected, for example turn off a light?

    I see this notification just minutes before my Onvis motion sensor arrived. Lol love the information Eric! Thanks for the review. Definitely convinced me ;)

    I wanted to test this sensor with the new shortcut on iOS 13 for my room, but I don’t have a IPad or HomePod for remote access for what I want it to do. Seems like a good price & I may buy it just to keep it until I get a iPad

    Great video Eric! I’m adding more and more sensors to my HomeKit setup too. I’ve been playing around with the Aqara sensors lately.

      Thanks Shane 😁 Yeah you’ve got quite the Aqara setup including that security system too...pretty cool stuff!

    Awesome Video, keep up the good work. I really appreciate your reviews and products you highlight. It has really been helpful in narrowing down what HomeKit products will work in my home. Love it!

    Gonna give this a try, it’s so cheap compared to the Philips Hue sensor. I have hue lights but wanna go with a cheaper sensor

    Hola muy bueno el video consulta los sensores de temperatura y humedad permiten interactuar con otros dispositivos HomeKit ejemplo si baja cierta temperatura hacer que se encienda un calefactor ???

    Great video! Do you happen to know if the sensitivity on this sensor can be adjusted?

    Ok silly question but how do I get motion sensor notifications to my phone while I’m away. I keep hearing about a “home kit hub” needing to be installed?!?!

    • @EricWelander
      @EricWelander  2 роки тому +1

      You need a HomePod mini, Apple TV or potentially an iPad always on and plugged in to be there to get data from the sensor and notify you outside the home. Then under the settings for the motion sensor, you go under Status and Notifications and turn on notifications when no one is home or whenever it makes sense for you

    Hi Eric, I am new to Home automation. I bought this sensor but not sure how do use it to turn on or off my lights going into the basement. Do I need to buy a smart light bulb or I can use it my my regular bulb? If I need to buy a smart bulb do I also need to buy a smart switch? Which smart light bulb do you recommend? I hear Hue, Lifx and many others so I am very confused . Sorry for all of the questions. I like your video

    Can thermometer sensor in onvis used to other appliances?

  • @gnutz87
    @gnutz87 5 років тому

    Do you have the sensor triggering a switch or the bulbs? I've recently started installing smart switches, but i feel like it would be overkill for something like my bedroom closet.

    • @EricWelander
      @EricWelander  5 років тому +1

      In this case it’s triggering a Lutron Caseta switch, but it just as easily could be a HomeKit compatible smart bulb

    If you have a mesh WIFI system DO NOT BUY THIS. I bought one of these and used it with my Orbi WiFi system. It worked for about an hour when I put it near a orbi satellite but after that it would become unresponsive and you would need to restart it every hour.

      Just for reference I also had a eve light switch near the device and it worked perfectly fine.

      Interesting...I have an Eero mesh network base station about 10 feet away from my motion sensor and have no issues at all.
