    The spacer is the injection time setting, don’t mixed up, hope that’s I think

    How do you check if you're getting fuel to oil dilution with the pump?

    What problem were you having that this fixed? I have a miss\backfire in my #3 cylinder in a 3306. I have ruled out valves, injector nozzles, and fuel lines at this point. Now, I am starting to look into the fuel pump. Did you just put a new plunger in to resolve your issue?

      Engine would not idle. Replaced plungers and solved that problem. Was not skipping though

    Question for ya I’ve got a 3406c how can I get the rack to stay back on the pin does the pin just sitting on it hold it or do I need to do something else due to not having manual linkage to pull the rail back?

      There's a cap toward the front of motor. On the side, it has two small bolts. Remove the cap and you can move the rack with your finger

      That spacer keeps the fuel and the engine oil separated if the spacer got wearn out then the diesel and the engine oil will mix
      You can change tranfer pumps how many you want too

    I changed my o ring on this pump because one was leaking. All of them went in easy except one I had to push that sucker in with a bar. I did it still on the truck but it did go back in I wanted to know if it was ok pushing it back down with the bar I used. Thanks for any advice

      Are you taking about pushing the plunger down? If so yes there is a cam that pushes up against the plunger. You could rotate the engine and it will release the pressure off each one. I didn't do that when I changed mine. Just pushed it down with screw driver while I tightened the nut

      When u say leaking. Was it leaking fuel into oil? Mine just started doing that. N its not the adapters. Said its in the pump

      @@hurricane7179 hello to you could you tell me what you did to the pump? My o ring was leaking on the top where the fuel line goes into the pump. When I changed it that's when diesel was getting into my oil.

    Can you chance the plunges. Whit the pump on the engine. And afther you have to calibrate on the lab. O not

      Yes I changed mine on engine. I removed the air compressor to gain access to the front ones

    I'm back again when I put the o rings on I pulled out the one plunger because I can't get it to go back down like all the others. I checked my oil after a couple of days now I have to much oil in it. It smelled like diesel I wanted to know if I I didn't clean it up like you got this one you are working on. Could it be that's why I'm getting diesel in my oil? I didn't have this problem until I messed with that plunger. If I got to go back I will clean it up thanks for any advice.

      Did any dirt or debri fall in if so you can spray a little ether and I used a vacuum to suck out any dirt. Did you take the washer out at the bottum of plunger.

      And that was an old pump I used in video. It was really dirty. You have to make sure there is no dirt at all at the bottom of plunger. There's a washer at the bottum. Did you take it out the first time

    I have a 3406b it's only getting 15 pounds of boost I checked turbo, turbo boots, charge air cooler, diagram in air fuel ratio, transfer fuel pump, and still not get but 15 pounds of boost. Do you think I need to have this fuel pump rebuild. Truck running good just not a lot of power. This is a great video any help would be appreciated thanks

      Only time mine acted like that was fuel filters being stopped up. You could take air ratio valve completely off and run it make sure it's not that. The plungers are not hard once you see how to line them up. If you get them out of time it will skip bad.

      I changed the fuel filters I didn't know I could take the air fuel ratio off. I think I saw someone put cardboard over the place where it's at. How would you do it and what would I do with the line on it take it off to? I hope this doesn't sound crazy to you I'm new at this thanks

      @@alfredrevis1876 I built a little metal plate to go over mine bc I didn't have the valve. And just took the line off and plugged the hole with a bolt in the intake. You could also check the fuel lines make sure they are not clogged or collapsing. I dying know if you are familiar with these motors but they don't have alot of boost. Mine was around 18 to 21 before I changed the turbo. I've got the screws on pump all the way out and put an e model turbo now I get around 27

      I made a plate for where the air fuel ratio was and plugged the line on the intake it's getting 20 pounds of boost. Do I have to put this air fuel ratio back on Or do I just need to replace it? Merry Christmas thank you so much

      @Alfred Revis the only thing the valve does is stops the rack from opening to soon to conserve fuel like when you change gears. You will probably notice more black smoke when changing gears. I would recommend putting one back on just for the fact of wasted fuel ie black smoke. Plus all the excessive unburnt fuel could cause washing of the cylinders over time but you can run it until you get one. Glad that fixed the problem for ya.
