I have those brakes on my commuter/tourer/gravel-ish ride bike, and live in a hilly area in England. The brakes' stopping power is adequate, and they're very easy to adjust if you feel like.
Thinking about getting a Poseidon Redwood. They’re having a “summer sale” for $699. You think that’s a decent price? It seems like a great “entry” level gravel bike. Thanks.
@@YourFavoriteCyclist it arrived today. luckily i live close enough to work that i was able to peddle home and throw it in the garage till i got home. i put it together, only issue was that handlebars weren't straight on front wheel. easy fix. i took it out to break in the brakes, and just got see how it feels stock. i'm not switching anything out right now, i blew my nut on justified purchases that i don't need. so, first thing is deft tires, but, i'm commuting so inflated to almost max. and yeah, deft rolling resistance, but not as bad as i thought based on pics and videos. either way, i'm super stoked to ride this thing. from the little around the blocks testing i've done, this thing is actually kinda sweet. granted, i buy used bikes and or build my bikes from found parts.
The one thing I'd like for this bike to have is a higher Top end Crank Gear. I'd even possibly want to turn it into a 2X I'd like a 48 or 50 big cog & then yes a 34-38 smaller Cog.. I'd stick to the smaller cog more on Gravel & when on road go to the 48 to get a better top end.
Great review! How capable on single track do you feel the redwood is compared to something like an entry level hardtail? I mainly ride road and I’m trying to find a do it all dad bike set up that could double for use on light single track as well.
I guess nerd isn't acceptable on UA-cam. Took me a second try to get it to go. Maybe. Post. If you think you need the latest stuff to be cool you are just a lover. Just smoked a gravel bike guy that thinks hes all that on my old mountain bike.

I've been pleasantly surprised by how solid they are.

It's a great valve at its normal price, so $699 is a steal!
@@YourFavoriteCyclist kinda seems like so I ordered one. Thanks for doing the review.

Thanks mate, how did you find the sizing? I have shorter legs and tend to need to size down. I have been considering buying the Redwood as well.
