Totally love the use of simple items to make sure the process of working goes smoothly; that's yet another reason why I love this channel so much. I may be a real muttonhead at some things, not bad at others, fairly good at one or two things, but I always suffer from not thinking ahead during the prep phase, and making the job much easier to manage right in the middle of the task. The panic at where to set something down that's wet, or how to get behind a part that's now in a corner, ack! Siiigh lol
Sure thing mate, there's no subsitute for thinking the job through, rehearsing hand actions and preparing where to put things once they're done!... I guess with practice it all becomes second nature! Thanks for watching and have a great weekend.
Hope you get the desired results here buddy. Few decades working along side Dad in the body shop and never saw long term adhesion with out the use of an adhesion promoter when it comes to plastic. Hope the tough black works for you!
Well it always has done over the last couple of decades, I've certainly never had it peel off, and I guess we've got to use something, I've even seen faults and problems with 2K... plastic panels just love to fight whatever you put over them!
Yes, it's amazing.. chucks out freezing cold air and low power use makes it cheap to run.. i got this one because it's a heater and dehumidifier as well, and will serve me all year round. Looking great, Del. I’m remembering seeing those types of fairings quite often on “Sons of Anarchy”. I think Charlie Hunnam had one on his scoot. You certainly work magic with the rattle cans, my friend! 🏍👍🏍
Awesome results!✨ Fine line between a nice finish and running. Couple of specks between 11:07-11:12. Dang blasted rattle can nozzles spit occasionally, but overall beautiful 👍. Totally admire your work ethic and thankful for the tips and procedures on all things Motorcycle 👍🍺!
Thanks buddy, believe it or not, those little marks are tiny fly footprints! It was a really hot day and the little buggers appeared everywhere, tiny little midges kept landing on it whilst it was wet, and I was picking them off with tweezers!! Most of it floated out, but still a few little nibs to knock down. Thanks for watching.
Awesome video brother! Great prep work ! Paint came out badass, and the best part is what a a deal from china ! You made look 100 times better ! Well played brother! Stay safe guys cheers from New York !!!! 🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thanks Brother.. im glad you approve.. it was a pretty good quality item, and not hard to make it look better..👍. have a great weekend too and keep safe both of you. !!
Nice man! I put the same headlight fairing on my Magna, painted it and clear coated it as well. It was cheap and it's well made, and it actually works well deflecting the wind over your head. Ride safe!
Nice video Del & Penny. Excellent job mate, with lots of great info, got to love that paint. But hard to get in Oz. Hope you are both well, have a great weekend and stay safe. Cheers
Thanks mate👍.. looking into it, if you can get 'Rustoleum' products there.. their stone chip paint is pretty much the same..! have a great weekend and stay safe. D&Pxx
Great tutorial on working with plastics, with beautiful results. Many thanks, Del and Penny. I think that the Simoniz name has been around since about 5 minutes after the invention of the wheel.😄 Safe riding and good health to you both.❤👍👍
Hi Rick, I think you're right there, I remember my Grandfather using Simoniz wax on his car in the 1970's!... have a great weekend yourself, take care and keep safe! D&Px
i would like to thank you Del for showing me the black tough paint so many moons ago, ive used it on my car parts and on the cheap thin motorbike metal parts that seem to rust easy. they all come up a treat, now to move onto plastic body parts of the bike ...cheers
Hi Penny and Del. Nice video! A good day's work, getting those fairing parts prepped and painted. I look forward to seeing them on the bike. Take care, my friends. Have a great weekend. Be well and ride safe.
Arr, as it's genuine 'Plastic' & guaranteed several lifetimes, I shall name your bikini thingy 'Bertrand' & then search for a medley of his Hit on UA-cam! Have a great w/e (or at least, stick some Chopin on & enjoy watching the rain : )xx

I thought you'd already made your own belly pan?
For the Sportster project, Yes. !
You found a gem with those parts. A rare win from the aftermarket . 👍❤️🤗
Sure thing bruv, not often you can beat the dealer on quality and perhaps they're not quite as good, but pound for pound there's no contest on value!
not bike related sorry how do you rate that small ac unit you have and is it any good what make is it and would you recomend it
