These people are lucky to see him ride in a public setting! I have known Chase since the mid 90s and he prefers to ride in seclusion. I have been lucky enough to have been able to practice along side of him and will never forget those days! Great to see Chase still riding and in good health.
Chase is so sick. His riding is powerful, aggressive, technical, and creative which gives him such a unique style that has always kind of been unmatched. It's no wonder he's considered one of the greatest of all time.
Thanks for uploading this. Amazing to see Chase pushing riding this hard. This is super hard stuff, and at the pace and energy he probably is the only human on the planet that can do a lot of it. This guy has done so much and is still doing more. I think he's smoother breakless!!!
Imo one of the most important influencer in the sport of flatland bmx. Mucho respect for his undying passion to continue to ride as trends come and go. Alot of links and tricks from the midschool era are harder that alot of new riders today just skip over which is sad. Glad to see the blending of the style live on. Go Chase!
Seeing Chase still ripping makes me smile and want to go out out and ride. I'm 52 and I still love that feeling of just rolling around with 2 (and sometimes 4) wheels under me.
I spent hrs upon hrs upon hrs hanging out and riding with Chase, one of the hardest working riders ever so happy to call him my freind, truly blessed to be able to be freinds with one of my heroes 🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
so many new little tweaks to the ins/outs/varials he does. subtle things at times but other times jaw dropping. great to see him riding and pushing it.
This is relevant today and really, this is better than what I have seen online from modern riders. Amazing that he riding this aggressively at what 50?!? Enter a contest dude!!!!!
Thanks for checking out the video, mate! You are 100% right about Chase's riding! Also, check out some of the other videos on the channel. I try to put up a new one each week.
If this is Chase 2023 then I think he needs to get back into the competition ring again cuz we need this freshness. And there’s lots of money to be made these days for top finishers. Just saying. Get after it!
Everything he does looks so much more difficult than current flatland. Holy shit, my mind is blown he's still able to do this. Anybody remember reading his interview in Ride magazine back in the day?
Totally agree, his riding is on another level-so technical and timeless. It’s wild to think he's still out there pushing the limits! And yeah, I definitely remember that Ride magazine interview-it’s a classic. I actually still have a copy of that issue!
No this is the raw footage from the dvd I made years ago '''From the sky up'' is the 2nd video release from Australian based company Cutting room floor media. It contains the full parts by Chase Gouin,Aaron Frost Ed Nussbaum,Simon O'Brien, Matt Wilhelm, Akihiko Takahashi. ''From the sky up'' features a diverse soundtrack and utilizes 8mm and 16mm in conjunction with digital imagery giving the film a unique feel. The DVD has 20min Chase Gouin Solo Bonus Part!''

I have a question to all of you, also to the "older generation" which started in the oldschool glory days back then.. I am now 26 years old and I would never expect to be as good as guys like mccoy, gouin, day smith and severeal other legends. But also I am aware that this guys practice easily more then a decade to get so good so I am a little bit sad about it that I have witnessed so late about this epic sport... would you still suggest to begin with it? Every day when I see this mindblowing vids of the 80s/90s or 2000s I wanted to ride like these guys but starting at nearly 30?
Chase still rides like he's in his twenty's love watching him ride and one more thing he is way better than Kevin Jones chase is the goat of flatland a true legend
Something about the way Jones rides though. He was always my favorite. Kevin and Chase are two of the very best. I looked forward to seeing them ride the most.
His best decision was to go to York P. A and stay at Mark Eaton's house, and ride with Kevin JOnes daily. That to me is when his riding got more intense once he got with the Ply wood hoods.
@@stewartmunrovideo I was convicted for life . Now that I'm old and injured and walk with a cane all I can do is dream about it and live vicariously . I never exceeded elementary level yet it's been a life sentence that is worthy of exclamation ❗ 🤪 Edited to add , I have a used set of Chases front forks on my bike . Ever since they were installed it does maneuvers all by itself . My bike has such good mojo it no longer requires my effort ☺

Flatland wouldn't be what it is today without those 2 guys and all the other innovators that ride purely for the love of it and pushing boundaries.
