Oh my!!! Missing my dad Andy Bright. I was a little girl when he passed. 😢
Ahhhh - no one can do it better than the Hawaiians! Aloha I Ka Hawaiian cowboy!,
Andy Bright the original Hawaiian Cowboy performed with Hawaii Calls Al Kealoha Perry. After Andys death in 1956 his brother Sol Bright returned to perform the Hawaiian Cowboy song and dance. Sol was the composer of the Hawaiian Cowboy. Andy made its popularity across the pacific air waves on "Hawaii Calls" brodcasted live from the Moana Hotel under the Banyan tree.
Wow, I can hear the rhythm of the West and Hawaiian culture .
What happened to "San Franciso by the Golden Gate?
David Keli'i, steel guitar?
Aww! I love this! That's my tutu papa singing!!
My Dad had this on 78, I still have it, great song.
Ha! On a whim I searched "hawaiian cowboy", never thought I would get a direct hit.
Could also be called "Hawaiian Rap". :-)
Oh so very cool! Miss this along with so many others of Dad with his 78,s, he played, thankfully he's still around and so are they! Whenever we shifted house he was the only one who would handle them, he wouldn't allow anyone else to touch his 78 records, when shifting house, haha!
this song kicks!
Fine Song aloha Rudi from Hawaii and Peter from Berlin,Germany
Nice sound!!
AWESOME!!!
An ol fav. Happened to pop up after the Horst Wessel song.
I agree!
yeeeehaaaw
Kamaha`o!
Sol Bright wrote this song while he was living on the Mainland, San Fran. Cali. Andy recorded it with Al Kealoha Perry and the surfriders in Hawaii. I guess they chose to leave the San Fran out being they broadcasted live to the mainland from the Moana hotel Waikiki. Not from San Fran by the golden gate.
