      Thanks for sharing all your interactions with the FAA. Some constructive feedback, maybe it's just the acoustics in my room, but I had a very hard time understanding the faa agent with the voice changer. Might consider adding captions to calls like that in the future and possibly using a pitch up instead of down? I had to go back a second time with the audio louder and even then every 3rd word was incomprehensible to me, though auto generated captions helped me get the gist of the conversation. Thanks for your great content!

      I mean, the complainant seems to be trying to keep people safe and did not know that Tucker had the preapproval to fly off camera. Seems like a very valid complaint to push through the proper channels. I'd only gripe if the person is persistently filing complaints with an obsession, like some sort of stalker.

    Hey Tucker, for what it's worth, I am a retired Aviation Safety Inspector, the chances of you getting an email are pretty slim. Controllers sitting in a VFR tower probably won't have "immediate" access to a computer, so there is a chance for them to forget etc.. Also remember, even if you use a radio and get permission transition the class D, those recordings are only maintained for 45 days. Your best bet is probably to record the conversation like you did with the inspector. Remember to ask the controller for their operating initials (that's what they use in internal communications).

      Hey Tucker, pay attention to what 747Max (great plane BTW) said and what you can learn from it. 747Max stated info from training. Tucker, go get an actual pilots license and you would know what 747Max knows. ATC is there to make you safe. ATC is NOT law enforcement. ATC is a service provide for safety. An FAA inspector's work can result in revoking a pilot certificate. If you are trained, you would have known all of this and WAY more. The training will make you safer. Your lack of training makes you a danger to yourself and others, because you are not aware of what a dangerous situation is. PG=lawn dart. FYI - two days ago, I almost hit a flight of 2 PGs. I missed them by about 30 to 50 feet by putting the plane on a razor edge in a climbing turn. The plane was in a decent, flying at 170kts or 195 MPH at 5,000 feet and 4,000 feet agl. A PG is too small to spot until you are right on top of them. Does that near miss sound safe to you? The executed climbing turn was not fun for the passengers or myself. I do not know if the turbulence from passing so close caused issue for the PGs. I did report it to ATC that there are two PGs flying on the approach path. PG=lawn dart. You are one person, that has a voice. How are you going to use your voice? Are you going to work at being a bold pilot or an old pilot? I encourage you in the same way I encourage myself every day - do better, be safer. Flying is no joke.

      He is indeed a content creator and as his reach and popularity grows the scrutiny also grows. Just because he doesn't share every detail of his planned flight via social media doesn't mean he isn't covering his bases legally. The video is essentially acknowledging and schooling the man that reported him. While also holding some educational value for the viewers. It's also hopefully deterring future Karens/Carls that are eager to alert authorities. I understand what you're saying though. • @steelecreations
      @steelecreations 7 місяців тому +3

      @robertgary3561 with all due respect, that's silly. When people watch Tucker videos we don't need to know exactly where he is flying and all the details of the permissions he got. The audience is watching for simple entertainment. Trolls like this who have gobs of free time to try to be the police without being qualified to do so is the cancer of our society. If he was really that concerned he should have called Tucker and asked him if he had permission rather than waste a bunch of people's time and tax money reporting a violation when there was no violation. Or call that airport and ask if there was permission that day. I dont think it's an outrageous idea to respect people's time and tax dollars. I'm afraid to make my own paramotor videos for this very reason and it's frustrating. You shouldn't have to worry about being accused of doing something wrong constantly when you didn't.

    Tucker, I enjoy your videos very much. You are always so pleasant and professional, even when dealing with negative people. I wish I were able to paramotor and experience the freedom of flight, but my disabilities aren’t conducive to that activity anymore, so I enjoy flying via my drones under part 107. The FAA are really nice folks to deal with. I had a self inflicted issue with my airman certificate and I contacted them directly and they helped me correct the situation quickly and easily and didn’t affect my certification. When I fly my drones in airspace that requires permission, I use the Aloft Air Control app on my phone to request a LAANC authorization prior to flying a mission. Ya’ll fly much higher then my 400’ max altitude so the LAANC feature wouldn’t assist you, so I’m curious if there is an FAA approved app that Paramotor pilots can use to file any type of airspace authorization requests? Again, I’m not a paramotor pilot, merely an enthusiast who enjoys your videos. Keep up the wonderful content and happy flying sir.

    I think it would be cool if part 103’s had a system like part 107. Like an app where you can announce and obtain a quick authorization. Just an idea that maybe someone could mention to the fed.

      Yep, they're called VFR sectional charts. You can find interactive online versions, or they're about $10 a pop for a dead tree.

    From years working in a bureaucracy... Phone call first, then follow up with an immediate 'per our conversation ...' email. They might reply, they might not, but either way you've got it recorded and timestamped, without having to wait on process at their end that might kick in with a written communication.

    When that video first posted I was wondering how long it was going to take for somebody to report you. I knew exactly where you were and I knew you were just inside the class d airspace. But obviously I don't care and I was definitely not going to report you. Glad to hear you had permission!

    • @HaroldBien
      @HaroldBien 7 місяців тому

      In all fairness, as you pointed out, the video didn't make clear that prior authorization was obtained. I agree that reporting to the FAA is overkill, but a comment to you perhaps to consider including this information on the video and future videos might help avoid others from watching and then trying the same thing without prior authorization, potentially causing some issues. So, I think the reporter had a fair point but I disagree with the reporter's approach.

    First off the bat, I never had a moment where I was like, "I hope Tucker did it right" because way more than most guys flying you always know exactly where you are in any airspace. Second, there's gotta be a new t-shirt idea here somewhere. "TUCKER GOTT BREAKING DA LAW FROM COAST TO COAST" 😂 Or maybe have the FAA guys in a duck blind with shotguns and have Tucker and the Boys flying overhead waving and smiling. Glad you're OK Brother, keep doing You!!!

    Sell Dchanze is at it again! If you don’t like what Tucker is doing then don’t watch him. Whoever is doing it then good job your just giving even more content. And if he was doing something illegal the last thing he would do is post it on UA-cam for you to report him. Also the FAA and the Police have jobs to do so let them do their jobs you’re just doing it for them for free. Police don’t like snitching either because they know they can’t trust you. Great video Tucker Gott. Thank you for always making awesome content for us.
