Brilliant writers. How many shows, books, plays or movies make people laugh decade after decade? Brilliant.
WoW! We have so much to be thankful for.....these two brought us so many hours of laughter....a lifetime's worth....
very well said and VERY true!
What brilliantly talented writers! And it makes me feel sick that they weren't paid residuals for their work. 39 shows per season, on a show that hasn't been off the air in over 70 years! Someone got extremely wealthy for that tremendous amount of work. And is still reaping benefits today!
Absolutely love this❤️ hearing about the writers and Desi. So terrible about the residuals
~Enjoyed this interview...plz give us more . 🥰
best tv screenwriters ever!!!
This is fascinating stuff!! Great stories. So sad they did not get paid residuals
Great interview
Being a boomer remember the chick episode in house first run......
Comedy. Gold. Never to be excelled ever
Thank you for posting this marvellous stuff. A unique look at how TV is generated.
These writers invented the concept of tv sitcom writing...sheer brilliance and adapt on the fly back in the stone age of tv development......and to get their reminisces on this is sheet genius
*marvelous
Excellent!
Poorly recoded, as are so many of the Writers Guild interviews. The interviewer is completely inaudible. It is an insult to the professionalism of these writers to ask them to contribute their experiences and histories and stories to our greater knowledge of the industry and then approach them with amateur sound technicians. Shame on the Writers Guild. Good idea. Poor execution.
This was done long before HD, maybe turn it up, it’s fine.
I want you to know that I downvoted your comment. You are ungrateful. Please learn an attitude of gratitude. Have a nice day.
Do you realize how long ago this was taped? Can hear them fine, and I'm so glad they did these interviews as I'm such a huge fan of "I Love Lucy".
@@mauiswift6391Nonsense. I Love Lucy was taped before HD and is perfectly audible. Thus, this interview should definitely have improved audio. It's on top volume and can just be heard.
Hire great people and let them do their jobs. If Desi Arnaz had produced this interview it would've been quality all the way through.
