I saw Barbara Eden sing at a restaurant in Disney World, in 1979. She moved among the tables, and some jackass put his foot out, and she tripped. Just about every guy jumped up to help her, and half wanted to kick the guy’s ass. It was a great show, and she was a real lady!
When I was a child, I never saw Barbara act like anything but Jeannie. I didn't realize that she was such a talented dancer and singer until recently. When I grew up, it was the 60s and 70s
I remember when she was on Andy Griffith's show playing a manicurist. As she walked away from Andy and Barney, that Andy said "The Good Lord gave her an extra helping of healthy"
I was going to mention that episode! She was and is a Goddess!! The dress she wore while walking down the street of Mayberry, with Andy watching in appreciation...WOW...just WOOOOWWWW!!!!
@@rainsongt189It was her walk when she left the barbershop after accepting her fiance for marraige! By the way earlier when she lifted her leg to fix a run in her stocking her foot nearly left her shoe. For me it is the earliest erotic scene in a TV episode I know of. 😊
Never seen this before. So that mean I really have not seen all the episodes of this show. Thanks for sharing and blessing to you and all in the days to come
This show always brings a smile to my face. When I was a little boy growing up I always wished I had a genie. Barbara Eden is so beautiful.! Even though I seen the show so many times I still love watching it.
I hear ya. Unfortunately real women can’t live up to this fantasy. Much later in my 30s I met a woman who kinda looked like BE. Unfortunately both of us were married so it was too late. But that didn’t stop me from making a complete fool of myself for a few months. God I loved BE!
The lady's a class act. She signed a friends of my sons cards in kansas city a few years back. She was at her booth all day every day of the con. Very pretty lady inside and out. She smelled really good too!
0:42 a little trivia: this woman is actually Barbara's body double in the show whenever she needs to play her sister (and eventually mother) in the same shot. Lainie Nelson is her name.
I started watching all of these clips recently (and a few episodes). I had forgotten how much I LOVED Jeanie. I loved these as a kid. One of the most fun shows ever...and even holds up to time :)
My best friend Jeff and I, really loved Jeannie. We grew up in the best decades, The 1960's and the 1970's. Jeff Passed away on December 27, 2023. He did not make enough money for better medical care. I miss him every day.
I seen her on black and white tv when I was a kid in the 60s She was singing " Do you know the way to Santa Fe." Absolutely gorgeous..... My voice became much lower and I started growing hair where was none before... What a woman !
During the 1960's there were three "Barbara's" on TV prime time shows: Bain, Eden, and Feldon, and they were all beautiful and sexy. However Barbara Eden was on top of the list. Just recently I saw an old re-run of the "Andy Griffith Show" where our Barbara here played a manicurist that showed up in town and began her trade in Floyd's barbershop amidst Andy, Barney, and a few other old town boys' grumbling although they sure liked looking at her. And she had the cutest country accent. I believe it was in 1961 which was about three years before she became Jeannie.
I’ve recorded so many televised Jeanie shows, on my little 4 track tape cassette, next to my black & white 12 inches television set, so that I can listen to each episode every night, re-imagining the whole entire scenes, when i was only 10. I thought that i was a great technician, with all that technology we had. Those were the good old days. Barbara Éden suffered a lot from the fact that when she was a former club singer in California, back in the mid 50s, her mother had told her that she didn’t have any emotions in her voice at all. Hence, she has finally proved that she could sing beautifully and just as nicely as Nancy Sinatra as well, otherwise Dean Martin wouldn’t have never chosen her to sing on his show! Thank you. Johnny, Montréal, Canada
Pitch meeting: its a show about a beautiful loyal woman who wants nothing more than to please her man any way she can. Studio execs: Say no more, we want to air it!
Yeah that an ok synopsis but what made the show appealing was Edens subtle way of making it absolutely sexy as hell.I don't know if subtle is the correct word but the innuendo is certainly clear
I have no idea how this show got made... How anyone got any work done when the amazingly beautuful barbara eden was on set is beyond me. I would be to busy admiring her to do anything but stand and drool.
@@vernonloften5248 I always thought it was called "Electric Nights" but knowing the psychedelic elements of the 1960s, maybe the title was "Electric Beams Electric Haze Electric Dreams, Electric Days Electric Nights?"
The knocked out singer is Lainie Nelson, who played Jeannie/Jeannie II when sharing a scene with Barbara Eden (playing the other role) from time to time.
Who doesn't love Barbara Eden ? She is so beautiful. She is so pretty.,
Barbara was a much better actor than people think. She could play wicked as well as fun. And her singing, wow!

The expression on major Nelson and major Healey is priceless
