- Check out this latest gruesome trailer for The Outlast Trials ahead of the first-person psychological horror survival game's launch on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC (via the Epic Games Store and Steam) on March 5, 2024. Developed and published by Red Barrels, The Outlast Trials is the third installment in the Outlast series, serving as a prequel to the first two games and it features test subjects in a mysterious Cold War experiment.

Yes one map per year and that is all ! Maybe some old ex pops whit different skin and new prime asset ( white horn ) coming 2025 or 2026 if the game is alive for that long

This game is amazing. It deserves much more attention from people.
underrated
im a lil bummed that there isn’t more maps after you conplate Program Genesis, but overall this game like Helldivers 2 is really immersive. So much attention to detail enough to get lost in which provides loads of fun

When are we getting new killers except these 2 to chase us?
There already are Mutliple killers. The two that they shown are known as the “Prime Assets” they are in specific trials (Ex: Gooseberry in Toy Factory, Orphanage, Futterland, Coyle In Police Station And Courthouse, Aswell as the waked Mob hideout trial) and are pretty much special kinds of killers, with unique ability ranges and how they act, for example, all killers (except for the night hunter) cannot see you in the dark, but because of coyles baton, which sort of acts as a light, he can see you from slightly afar due to the light the electricity is making, meanwhile there’s the normal killers that are called the Ex-Pop (or grunts) are the normal killers, which can have their own special unique ability, and they act relatively different than each other. The trailer is mostly just showing the prime assets though. There is supposed to be another prime asset coming into the game, a guy with a shotgun.
The story line is getting clearer
When from being horror game to straight up L4D/Die hard esque game all out action...Im glad they choose to this in prequel, but im hoping they revert back into single horror game for the sequel..

This is a survival-horror game, not a horror-shooter. You can't kill anyone, only stun. The gameplay feels almost like in the past Outlast games, only thing is missing is a camera. But you don't need it, because the bad guys have built nightvision into you.

Avellanos, she's the voice of the trials. The mannequin you see in the mansion in the beginning and spread around the trials.
