Alonso is the catalyst for the Mets. If he can't do his job, what good is he? He seldom fields a ball effectively, he can't run worth a lick, and he only hits home runs when no one is on base and when the Mets already have a substantial lead. If I didn't know any better, I would say that he was on the take, but then again, what do I know? If anything, he should be released by the organization.

There's a reason why the Brewers coach is getting only $700,000 a year. You have pitchers doing very well in the inning they pitch but you keep pulling them out for new pitchers and eventually you find one who's not any good and that would be Devin Williams! As soon as you walk the first batter And then left another guy get on he should have been pulled. But this time the Brewers coach leaves him in like an idiot! If pitchers are doing good and getting the outs why do you pull them out in such an important game? Why not let Freddy Peralta pitch in the 9th and if he let someone get on then bring in Devin Williams! I guess either way it doesn't matter because neither of these teams would get by Philadelphia anyways!

The Mets do not belong on the stage and that’s evident every time they get a base hit. You can’t celebrate in the first inning when you pick up an RBI hit after an error and a soft-based hit that barely got through
I take it you are not a Met’s fan. Pretty interesting to hear that when I think the same thing just flip the teams. Both teams, every team in the league celebrates after anything that happens, pounding chest, screaming, so on. That being said putting the ball in play and making things happen out of nothing is how to win. As a Met’s fan, the Mets are in my humble opinion in a position to make the world series. In my humble opinion as well, the Brewers can not compete with the best teams IN the playoffs. Just my 2 cents
@@hoteltrivago1380 Brewer's injuries are catching up with them in the playoffs. The Mets aren't in any better position to beat the Dodgers than the Brewers are. Brewers have owned the Mets all season, the Mets got lucky we blew two plays yesterday and one today or they would be on a plane back to New York already.
The Mets are not lucky the Brewers are making errors. That is all on the Brewers and there ability to come through. Your left fielder made a nice play and got cocky, leading to his misplay. Which then lead the Mets to rally. Same thing with your pitcher not getting to the bag in time and Iglesias out hustled him. That’s not luck. Regardless, I think the Mets have this series. Brewers know how to win in regular season, but I believe they lack the will to win in the playoffs. We’ll see though, best of luck to you guys. Entertaining series so far
Let a pitcher to give up 3 runs in the eight is incredible! This is a playoff war, not a season game. Sensitivity must be sky high. I believe any thrower gives two hits continuously or one run, shall be replaced.

If the Brewers win the wild card series I think they go on to win the world series! They are fast, hit with power and have a deep pitching core. I can't even imagine how scarey they'd be with a healthy Yelich in the 3 spot. My goodness their future is bright!
Lol are u watching the same series the Brewers are struggling vs the Mets !!! What do you think is gonna happen when they vs Philly or Dodgers/Padres ?? They gonna get owned !!
I am curious now that the braves are out , why is it if the Mets clinched playoff berth first that they r a lower seed , if the braves clinched after NY that would make them a lower seed in NL NOT A HIGHER SEED RIGHT ??? Make it make sense
They finished with the same record it doesn't matter who clinched first. Tie between two teams' rules. 1. Head-to-head record Simplest tie breaker, whoever won the most games in a season series in this case the Braves wins the tie breaker. 2. Intradivision Record The team with the superior intradivision record would win the tiebreaker. The mets had the best record in the division 30-22. But they lost the season series against the Braves. 3. Interdivision Record the tie would be settled based on how they fared against teams within their league but outside of their division. The mets had the best record 35-29. 4. Last Half of Intraleague Games Should the interdivision record also be a tie, the next tiebreaker will be determined by the involved clubs’ last-half records against teams within their league.
LETS GO METS! Get to Philly so we can have a great series! Brewers are a boring team from a boring town! Plus we dont hate each other enough to make it fun!
You do know how the playoffs work don't you? The Mets still have to win two series just to get to the World series! The way they played against the Brewers Philadelphia should have them beat in four games. If they somehow get luck again then they face the Dodgers who most definitely be playing their best like they always do in the playoffs
Incredible come from behind win for the Brewers. Only Wild Card Series that doesn't end up in a sweep.

I didn't know how but when I saw Maton come out the bullpen, I knew the Mets were going to lose. I remember him too well from his days with the Astros
This how Phillies fans felt last year watching Craig Kimbrel blow every game to lose to the D backs.

2:56 jogging in the playoffs, are you kidding me? He got away with it, but still...

LETS GOOOO BREWERS!!!!
How 'bout them Beermakers?!?! You really are a little Brew Crew taking down big money behemoths. Go Brewers!

"Amazing" things will take place tonight at Citi field !!
Go METS
The Mets do not belong on the stage and that’s evident every time they get a base hit. You can’t celebrate in the first inning when you pick up an RBI hit after an error and a soft-based hit that barely got through
Agree. Brewers beat themselves game 1, and almost did it again.
I’m a yankee fan and I’m trolling. I’m being honest 😉lol
Im also rooting for them as well. I just like to get under the Mets fans skins😆😆
Fun fact: both starting pitchers were former Oakland A's
That pitching change on the Mets part changed everything...
Beautiful
There we go Milwaukee nice dub
chourio is him
One more tomorrow GO BREWERS ! ! !
Let a pitcher to give up 3 runs in the eight is incredible! This is a playoff war, not a season game. Sensitivity must be sky high. I believe any thrower gives two hits continuously or one run, shall be replaced.
They literally can’t, the pitcher has to face 3 batters before he can be subbed.
Maybe next year milwaukee lol
I didn’t know he was nice like THAT 😂

Lol are u watching the same series the Brewers are struggling vs the Mets !!! What do you think is gonna happen when they vs Philly or Dodgers/Padres ?? They gonna get owned !!
you watch the games or just stats? Clearly have no idea.
I am curious now that the braves are out , why is it if the Mets clinched playoff berth first that they r a lower seed , if the braves clinched after NY that would make them a lower seed in NL NOT A HIGHER SEED RIGHT ??? Make it make sense
Braves won season series vs Mets 7-6, so they get higher seed.
They finished with the same record it doesn't matter who clinched first.
Tie between two teams' rules.
1. Head-to-head record
Simplest tie breaker, whoever won the most games in a season series in this case the Braves wins the tie breaker.
2. Intradivision Record
The team with the superior intradivision record would win the tiebreaker. The mets had the best record in the division 30-22. But they lost the season series against the Braves.
3. Interdivision Record
the tie would be settled based on how they fared against teams within their league but outside of their division. The mets had the best record 35-29.
4. Last Half of Intraleague Games
Should the interdivision record also be a tie, the next tiebreaker will be determined by the involved clubs’ last-half records against teams within their league.
