    How mental is that?
    The story:
    Not buying products because "it looks rubbish" has to be one of the most closed-minded response you can get.
    Sure I get, how some are happy doing what they are doing. If it ain't broke, why change it? But some of us out there are looking out for tools and products that will either make the job easier and help in some way, whether that be safety, ease or efficiency.
    And we all no the last one leads to more money earned in the day, right?

    So true. Can’t judge a man until you walk a mile in his shoes. Admittedly I have been guilty of trait ascription bias myself. I like to think I’ve become more open minded with age. However, I’ve seen the opposite happen with others as they age. Sufficed to say, contempt prior to investigation does not have a great track record historically for me personally. I’m pleased that you did this video.. it’s a great reminder to me that I should try to think with my mind and not my ego.

    I have a 1/2 dozen or so and I have been using them for a year. Constructor Brush is VERY impressive indeed and provides the WC the ultimate in efficiency. If you can get across the glass in less time, using the proper technique, and with less fatigue on your body....its a win $$ all around!

      The Constructor brush with a rinse bar, well Reach-iT don't actually like calling it a rise bar ( its a hydro blade) because its designed to jet in a certain way.

      Initially, I agree. But that is not the whole point we are making. Dismissing something because it doesn't look right, is crazy especially if it comes with a claim of improving the window cleaner in some way.

      Window cleaning videos it is crazy to think about from a rational point of view but it’s just the way our minds are programmed.
      Sleeker designs just outsell practical and that’s the way it is so the looks of the squeegee are just as important as the function. Rather than wagtail putting you in deep water maybe they should thank you and take on board the comments. Let’s be honest... it looks like something an old timer put together in his shed - rather than defending their design maybe they could do some work on the visuals.

      Ha ha ha you said that not me ^^^ Wagtail are ok with me now, in fact I have a package from them to test and film that is still unopened.
      Perhaps Wagtail should have taken a Moerman type stance. Bob Hatt AKA Plozn Bladz (UA-camr) famously complained about their squeegee rubber. Instead of defending they invited Bob to their HQ and from that came the Liquidator that was then cast out to the Moerman Angels (beta testers).
      We did a lot of promotional videos at the beginning for Moerman that did really well for the Moerman brand. Moerman have always embraced UA-cam influencers.
      This took Moerman from a 12% share in the hand tool market (2015) to a 24% share in 2017 taking second place behind Unger (WCM poll) .
      Wagtail in contrast dropped from 7% in 2015 to just under 4% in 2017.
      Moermans share crushed into Unger’s and Ettore’s numbers with Unger dropping from 50% share to 35%.
      I might add that Unger is still the most purchased hand tools and the gap between 1st and 2nd is huge.

    I don't see how anyone can give an opinion on a tool they've not used.

      I think the thought of it is amazing. I keep looking for flaws in the brush, maybe it will leave spots, maybe it will leave dirt on the glass on a construction clean, how is it possible less agitation and no rinsing still provides perfectly clean glass.

    Great vid lee and so true! How can someone say something is shit just by looking at it. ha ha ha you can’t make it up.
    I bought a couple of tucker brushes based on your video reviewing them with ACTUAL window cleaners ACTUALLY using them and giving their opinions of them lol they’re still going strong! I got the hog hair ones so quite pricey but well worth it

    • @Windowcleaningvideos
      @Windowcleaningvideos  6 років тому +1

      Tucker is a great brand and a great brush. Very few forget I have a window cleaning company of my own. So to test a product or have one of my employee's test it is what we do. However, skeptics sometimes accuse me of being biased or PAID to say what I am saying on a product ( which is not true, as a magazine I have to try everything and tell YOU about it). And so I like filming other 'users' of the products and usually those having used the product for 3 months or more as a general rule. Because of that you were able to make an informed decision on buying the Tucker brush. You bought, and you liked - our content went a long way in helping you with that decision if it was right for you or not. Great feedback BTW thank you. :)
      I must remind everyone that it is illegal to not state in your tweets, Instagram or UA-cam videos ( whichever social media) you are 'selling' a product. So for instance, if you were using Ettore squeegee's then was asked by Moerman to produce video content on Moerman only products and that they will pay you for that, you have to let your subscribers know this. Suddenly the Ettore guy says this Moerman squeegee is great and all he uses every day blah blah, the social media content has to make it clear that its promtionaly paid content. It has been all in the news of how influencers push products without the recipient's knowledge. They think they a looking at real content about real people talking about real tools.

      Not at all. There are three ways you can try before you buy any product that you are interested in.
      1) If you are a member of a forum or group, reach out to a member using the product - arrange to meet them and ask as many questions as you can think. Try the products too, the window cleaner you connect with will be happy to give you all his day to day pros and cons on it...
      2) Go to a window cleaning event where the pole is exhibiting ( tell where you live and I can get that info for you) in the UK Reach-iT will be demonstrating their products at the new Window Cleaning Village at the Cleaning Show London next year.
      3) Watch a WCM TV video, one that has shown other window cleaners views.
      There is a secret number 4 option. 4) do all the above! and go to futureofcleaning.com, they have a bunch of videos there.
      One last thing, some manufacturers do road trips. Ionic Systems have been doing this for years. They travel all over the UK bringing the products to their prospective clients. A brilliant idea.
      I hope that this helped :)

    Hey Lee, what's this brush like for cleaning window sills on tops. Do you need to change your angle in comparison to cleaning the glass?

    • @Windowcleaningvideos
      @Windowcleaningvideos  6 років тому

      Yes, I had to lift my brush up to get the sill and change the angle as I would for other brushes. I do believe there may be a sill add-on feature. Let me ask for you...as I am not 100% sure

      Thanks that would be great I currently use a sill brush and prefer not to have to extend/de-extend for sills.

    • @stevehughes6533

      Window cleaning videos yes a medium gardiner brush

    • @Windowcleaningvideos
      @Windowcleaningvideos  6 років тому

      Your question is very interesting since the brush is designed to drag the water down the glass like a squeegee and we know how dragging a squeegee down leaded glass means we have to buff up with a cloth after - I am guessing there is more play in bristles than a squeegee rubber - your question is such an interesting one. Do you mind if I test it and get a video back to you on this?

      Window cleaning videos would-be good to know. I have bought loads of things in the past only to find they dont really work for me. That brush is not cheap, it may be worth every penny but it may not be the case for me

      How much leaded do you have on your round?? lol - do you clean a medieval town (joking) - sure bud, I am super interested in the outcome too. I will credit you for the question in the video... now I am trying to think whos house I can loiter around in for a few hours. You will probably see me next on Crime Watch lol :)
