When is the right time to get a manager
I would like to see a more detailed behind the scenes look about what you do to make your UA-cam videos.
I'd like to go more in depth with scripts. I think it's really interesting to learn about! Also, can you tell me what the difference is between a script and a screenplay? (I currently have very minimal info lol)
Maybe a video on how you'd tackle serious/complex roles like the one you did for Grey's Anatomy or characters you'd see on shows like Criminal Minds.
If feels wrong to not pay this girl. She is giving us all the info and time to help us out with acting, while she is acting and filming and writing, while also going to school. Its amazing and inspiring , thank you makayla!🙏🏿😍
Yes she is. Very positive young lady. I hope she continues to thrive and teach teens as well as adults.
We basically are paying her because the more views she gets the more money she makes 😊😊😊
I am writing a Darth Vader movie and this is very helpful.
355K subscribers!? She's getting paid very, very well. No need to worry about her.
Relax. There's 2 full ads right off the bat.
Omg i think we all can agree that makayla is basically our acting teacher / coach . Keep doing what you doing girl ❤❤
😂💖 Thank you.
I'm bout to get an A in drama
For real!! ❤️
She does better than my drama teacher at school! 😊
Yea that is correct but you need to learn what to do physically in a actual class. I follow her and I did a physical class for 8 months and I already started and so I followed her for I can make my skills and knowledge for acting better
bro singlehandedly jumpstarted my screenwriting (i visited this around 2 years ago and i never realized how helpful its been)

You’re just great! I feel like most people don’t take the time to explain this type of stuff the way you do. I hope your channel grows and I hope you become even more successful in the acting Industry! 🙌🏾
Thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰
@@MakaylaLysiak You're much better than my screenwriting tutor. Two courses and I still didn't know that the characters' names shouldn't be in capitals all the time.
I’m writing a Darth Bader screenplay. I think this is really helpful.
I’m working on a script for a short film that I plan on filming this summer, so this video definitely helped. Thank you!
Glad to hear that this helped! Happy writing!💖

I write short stories . It could be script's .
So is there anyone to share with . Its my pleasure .
I'm was in the middle of writing a script when I got the notification for this video, I was like "THE GODS HAVE GIFTED ME A GUIDE!!!"
😂 love that!💖
I'm a beginner screenwriter and I found this video to be a good starting point . I'd like to see you give examples of how to incorporate dialog in a flashback setting, that is, starting in the present, and then going back in time to give the reader an understanding of what had transpired up to the present time
I have a question when the script is finished where do you go from there just wanting to ask
Why is no one talking about how GREAT the editing was!
Great video, really well conveyed and the visuals helped keep me engaged till the end :)
Thank you so much! It takes me a long time to edit these 😅💖
Like inserting an ad at 8:18 right in the middle of a discussion about cuts.
@@MakaylaLysiakwhat app do you use to edit please😅
As an aspiring screenwriter and director I wrote my first page of my script and this video helped me so freaking much. Thank you so much!
These sorts of videos are always so helpful! I love your editing style, aesthetic, and clear/concise way of explaining things! Thanks for supporting aspiring actors in the community ❤️
Thank you for appreciating my content and supporting me!💖
Girl! You don’t understand how helpful this has been. I am trying to apply to a writing camp with a production company’s and they asked that we create a short script. There is no one out there with a video or script example with layout explanation for tv shows/animated series. Can’t wait to learn more from you!! ❤️
Let’s just take a moment to realise how much time makayla puts into her videos and girl u do a amazing job keeping up with so many different things at the same time like school, acting and filming videos for us,keep up the great work girly
i would love to learn more about this! also Makayla is so good at explaining omg everything makes sense when she says it
awwwww!!!🥰😆💖
I'm so glad I came across your channel. I'm a multimedia arts student and one of the things our professor asks us to do is to write down a story idea, write a script and then make a storyboard and this video helped me a lot.
Ahhhh hiii! You’ve inspired me sm that i auditioned for my school play “Almost, Maine” and I got a part! thank u for helping me:)
Congrats!💖
You have no idea how much I have struggled to learn this. The other videos I have watched had a very bad visuals and sounds but as for you everything is 👌. Thanks girl. Take us through other aspects of script writing . All the best ❤️ may you grow and blessed beyond your expectations. Power Girl. You are changing lives. I go to a school of the arts for theater, and one of the assignments was to write a short story and this video really helped me have the right formant! Thank you Makayla!
Omg I’m soo excited. I’ve been on writing teams before but we had a scripter typing it out! I also went to school for performance and regularly read scripts but overlooked everything but direct dialogue til now.
You’re so enthusiastic and have great presence! Love it. Thank you for your effort, & support.

Thank you! I’ve watched this video several times as I’ve started my first movie script!
This was really helpful! I've been writing script adaptations for a story to post online and I'm very knit picky with myself on formatting. Information and advice on scriptwriting on the Internet is so varied, so this was incredibly helpful! If love to see more scriptwriting advice. How about time moving quickly within a single scene?
Hey makayla!! Love this type of videos:) you explain everything so well, I would love to see more of these!!!

Glad to hear you enjoy!💖
Thank you makyla,, I've been an actor for 17 years in the East Coast,, and some of the stuff that you talked about in this video I didn't even know that's crazy,, I also would like to get into writing and I have idea for screenplay except I'm not sure how to write it because I never wrote a screenplay before,, so you're awesome thank you I will continue to watch your videos and get some more stuff I guess and I will talk to my acting coach and share this with her as well

This was really good. I didn’t feel overwhelmed with the gems you gave.
I love how understandable/easy this explanation is after 3 weeks of self script studying 🤧. Thanks 🙏!
I'm learning how to put together a professional script for a short film festival I am going to enter and this video was SO HELPFUL! You are so smart and I'm so glad that you've made the decision to share your wisdom!
thank you for the kind words 🥰
Thanks for making the video. Recently started writing a script for a show. And I was confused as to how lol. I'm used to writing in a novel format. But this helps me know how to structure the script itself. No idea if this project will actually go anywhere, but here's hoping X3
@@thehookwormandthebookworm9860 Sadly no, not yet lol. Don't know if I ever will be but, I am working towards the goal of being a storyteller. X3
@@thehookwormandthebookworm9860 X3 is a smile lol. But thanks! Hope things work out for you!
I am in the process of writing the outlines for two original screenplays - one a full length feature and the other, six short films to be shown one after the other to make a feature length movie. This is the first video I watched of yours and I will be watching the others you have posted. I have both screenplays written in my head and now it is time to put them on paper. Needless to say, I have a lot to learn about formatting. Thank you for this very informative video!

@@MakaylaLysiak Your Welcome
Hey Makayla, would you recommend taking Zoom acting classes? In my area there isn’t really much of that (for my age) and so I was looking around and found a lot. Keep up the great work !!!!!😃😃
Go to the Meetup app, there's a couple classes there
FIRST 10 SECONDS AND ITS ALREADY GENIUS. This is gonna help so much
Joyful Day Makayla! Thank you kindly for this information. Very helpful. Happy writing for me.
The way I look at acting is like UA-cam. think about it lights, camera, effects, a script. The only difference is that youtube has more of a real side to an extent. When acting is simply just playing a character
What happens if you have trouble time reading but you still want to be a actor
You get rid of the bad habit and get a reading habit. No escape from reading when you are an actor (acting student here)
I have same problem, but the truth be told there is no escape to it. Just develop a reading habit for example get story books, read comics, read music lyrics, engage your self with anything that’s about reading. And you will improve in no time ❤❤❤. I’m doing the same and it’s kind of help. ❤
