Usually when I play, I use the Victoria's Victorian - (1) for obvious reasons; (2) because I like the house layout; and (3) because it's next to the town park and I can't resist those wildflowers. Which is also why I can't play rags to riches anymore. lol
I wonder if any of the EA employees who made the houses you're reviewing ever watch your videos? 😂 Also, I'd like to take a little moment to say how much I appreciate you making this series! What about reviewing sunlit tides or roaring heights next? Or literally any world lmao. Really like these videos they’re fun to watch stoned so I’d just like to see more of these in general lol.
The future is in the hands of the people, I’m rooting for roaring heights but Appaloosa plains will likely win because people keep warning me about the bathrooms haha
@@Rekowcski I’ll watch it regardless lol. Also I think it would be cool if you looked at some user made worlds, you would be so impressed with Plymouth Isle by Intothesimulation. By far the best sims 3 builder I’ve ever seen.
This is my favorite world from the EP packs (plus my favorite EP). I will forgive some of our clashing opinions (I am more about if it fits the style of the Lore, and you are all about your preferred style of the decor), but that is why the color wheel and pattern tool are both our best friends❣ Again, I have to illiterate why many builds have appliances next to one another. First of all the bigger appliances (stove [unless gas], fridge, washer, dryer, etc.), all use higher voltage circuitry, which run off of the same circuit/s separate from lighting and other outlets (as to not run up electrical bills having smaller appliances and lighting fictures on the same circuit). Secondly, the outlets for higher voltages need special outlets (more prongs than the average 2-3), again placing them closer together, less high voltage outlets are needed. Thirdly, when separating these high voltage appliances, but using the same outlets, at least one has to cross over behind a cabinet/s (if the chord is even long enough), and most cabinets are not portable, to clean out the dust from behind, so they become more of a fire hazard. Now, I am in no way an actual architect, nor an electrician, but we had a bad storm when I was young, and tree took out our electrical wiring, and a fire broke out from behind the cabinet separating the fridge and oven (because a fridge is continuously running, and ovens are faintly running, if it has a clock). So, now I understand why most places I have lived in place high voltage appliances next to one another. Oh, and why that area behind gets so dusty, is the wood has to be cut out to account for the wiring, making it exposed to more dust and grease (grease spatters while cooking). Guards for that can (sometimes are made that way) be placed on appliances (i e. stoves), but not the cabinetry. I know what the prima guides tell you, but once you experience an actual electrical fire starting in between the large appliances, you will want them together, rather than separated by cabinetry. 😮
Watching this series suddenly made me realise, that I grew up in a bad EA build :D But I really love this series, you're giving me lots of inspirations to change up my own bad builds ;)

And because i’m sorta interested in fantasy, I freakin LOVE Moonlight Falls and its mysterious Aura. It’s also a good place to live when you’re not an occult one and I think you can disable them in options. Anyway, I missed few of my favs spot: 1. The one called affordable ellegance - my favourite starter for a long time, old-fashioned 2-bedroom, but i desperately need switch place for the bathroom. Imagine having guests, they need to use bathroom to wash hands or else, then they’re going through you bedroom. House is kinda easy to add a extra floor and it sits opposite to park. 2. Sorry for misspelling that one, cause Im not playing English language: Victoria’S Victorian Mansion/House/??? Seriously, I don’t know, it’s also near the park, i think its blue one big house with lots of bedroom, but not too huge. So pretty and stylish but i didn’t see that once for long. 3. Last one is house which I am playing recently: the one near the „forest” and close to lake - so detailed, lots of woods and darkness - very accurate for werewolf loner who I was/am playing.
I love your passion for this world x I didnt review the empty houses, only the occupied ones. But I plan to redo every episode for season 2, but this time the UNOCCUPIED lots!
This world has not only the most beautiful buildings in my opnion, but it also teached me how to built great houses myself. I always tried building modern houses or more standart family houses but they all looked so bad. Probably because EA didn't set a good example with those in the first place. But they still looked better than the mansions in their older worlds. The terrible interior was the reason why I wouldn't touch those old, expensive furniture at all and stuck with my try-hard modern builds. But after I looked into those victorian builds here, I fell in love. The first thing I did was taking one of the houses and adjusted the colors a little bit so that they looked like people actually still live in them. Then I slowly started building my own houses in this style and let me tell you, they looked 100% better than any other build before. I'd say I have become pretty good at this by now. Now where I learned how to build those I can actually build pretty more modern houses too. The only thing I still struggle with is the exterior and those super modern luxury houses (but honestly, I don't like them anyway so it doesn't matter) The exterior really bothers me... I try looking at real life examples but the still come out terrible or it's just a few trees and bushes and that's it. It's really saddening that my winter gardens/greenhouselike rooms looks so much better than the actual one. Haaa... Anyway the victorian houses of this town showed me that I not only prefer the antique aesthetic with toned down colors a lot more but also the dark atmosphere and closed off rooms. Like everyone talks about opening the space with pulling down the wall and keeping everything bright and white and here am I making everything dark and narrow just like the houses here. Actually I make the interiors a little bit brighter but still dark in comparison. I also mix patterns and colors but in a toned down non aggressive way... unlike most EA builds. Especially the Sunset Valley Goth manor 😵

I'm enjoying watching your house review videos. I just have to point out one thing I've noticed in your videos. I work in the Architectural field as an Architectural Engineer and work on a lot of various styles of homes. I've noticed you have mislabeled a few of the home styles in your videos. Greek Revival. The most prominent feature of a Greek Revival are the columns. Greek Revivals have columns usually spanning multiple stories on multiple facades of the house. The roofing of a Greek revival usually has a mixture of a Hip style roof with ornately adorned box gables usually supported by columns. They are also very symmetrical from all angles. Think of "The Parthenon". The house you actually labeled as "Greek Revival" in this video is actually a "Traditional" style house. Traditional is kind of a mix and match of styles. The house in this video for example mixes "Farmhouse Style", roof line and porches, mixed with Victorian elements such as the bay windows making it considered "Traditional Style". Another example of what's considered "Traditional" would be most of the McMansions you see in the world where its a mix and match of various styles. All the same keep up the good work. I've really been enjoying your videos and I'll never look at a green bathroom the same way again.

EA called the build "greek revival" in the description for those yellow suburban houses
@@Rekowcski Yeah they're wrong. On a lot of things as you know lol. Will you review custom worlds when you finish with the EA world's? Also glad to see an LBGT youtuber who plays something other then the Sims 4. Sadly we are underrepresented in the Sims 2 and 3 community. Everyone seems to have moved on.
Can you do island paradise?
I would have stopped playing sims if supernaturals were never included.
Withc's Cove lol
Unrelated question: do you own the sims medieval?
No burn I’ve played it for maybe 3 hours total. I’m always the queen haha
I hate how almost every house in this one is that ugly pastel yellow. Like literally 80% of the houses had that exact same color
i agree, personally i would have them done each a different pastel colour instead... u know like easter egg colours if that makes sense. I like the yellow, but come on.
I don't get why you're so hard on small houses?
You couldn't have picked a worst franchise to get passionate about considering how much you hate green. What's the deal with that? Why do you hate green so much?
Greek houses don't look like that. Almost every greek house is lifeless and white. These remind me of the typical american suburban houses
