    I’m surprised you don’t have more subscribers. The stuff you make is actually really cute vs ALOT of the other fall UA-cam videos I’ve watched. Maybe it’s the length of the video? Either way you do a great job and it’s nice to see a fellow scroll sawer (who’s not an older man) :)

      Thank you 😊! Truthfully I was SO afraid to use power tools just a few years ago but thank goodness I’m over that 😆! I have lots more DIY tutorials coming using my scroll saw.

    I made these about 3 years ago for my daughter in jaw and really enjoyed doing them. Unlike you my miter saw is older and doesn’t have a slide or laser.

      Hey Tammy! Love that you enjoyed making these too ❤️! When you can I highly suggest upgrading to the slider with laser. It is amazing 🙌! My husband actually had to talk me into spending the extra money to get this one and he was so right, I would have regretted not getting it!

      Megan plus FIVE I have thought about how awesome both would be especially the laser. Right now I just use what was inherited after my dad passed away. I tend to collect more project ideas then making them. I think I need a crafting buddy to come over and motivate me!
      I just heard you mention something about KC not sure how I missed that the first time, do you actually live in MO I’m less than 3 hrs away from KC.
      I even got a Cricut Maker last year around Christmas and haven’t used it but a few times, I also bought myself every blade that goes with it just so I have them.

      The laser so nice to have, if you have to ever buy a new one make sure it has both the slider and laser ☺️!
      Yes, we live just outside of KC ❤️!
      I love that you have the Maker! I don’t have one yet but it’s on my list.
      I will have a monthly DIY craft group coming soon let me know if you want more info. You’ll be connected to a whole community of crafters. I can’t wait for this ❤️!!

      Megan plus FIVE would love info on your crafting group.
      Do you ever come to the Lake Of the Ozark to vacation, I know many people head this way for quick and extended vacations since it’s so close, we own a vacation rental company and get lots of guests from both KC and St Louis.

    I am 67 years old and I have yet to see one candy. Corn was perfect, they fade, and that makes them look More natural. And everybody knows I hate kid corn. Lol

    You cut them like its nothing! I had a small accident where a piece of wood I was cutting hit my hand and cut it, having trouble getting back into it

    These are really cute! I know this is an old video but a closer camera angle would be better for the viewer.

    Cutting like that on the miter saw is Super dangerous. I only did 6 candy corn and then Catastrophic failure piece of wood went flying so yeah no more of that! I knew going in that that could happen but I thought I’d try it. Why did you not show the other cuts being done?

    • @MeganplusFIVE
      @MeganplusFIVE  5 років тому +1

      Hey and thanks for stopping by my channel:) yes, you are correct using a miter saw to cut anything can be super dangerous. The point of a miter saw is to allow you to make angled cuts of varying degrees. Helpful tips to keep what happened to you in the past
      • if your saw allows, clamp your piece down. Mine does not allow for this I tried :/
      • be sure your blade is SUPER new. A new blade makes a WORLD of difference.
      • get hands on training from a professional. My husband does commercial grade construction for a living so he knows a thing or two and taught me how to use my miter saw. Hopefully you have someone close that can teach you as well:)
      Best of luck on your future projects!

    Do you sell these on your website?

    • @MeganplusFIVE
      @MeganplusFIVE  3 роки тому

      Hey! As of right now I am currently only selling digital files. Due to several factors of 2020 (teaching my kiddos from home, soaring prices for materials, unavailability of items) I had to make the hard decision to turn my craft kit listings off for now. If you have any questions on how to make any of the blanks please reach out and let me know:)
