Time is an issue!
For this to be a success for the average player they need to add quick battles to doom tower bosses and hydra and add super raids to mino.
Huh? You can literally just afk all this content why would u need quick battles for everything?
And let Mino give scrolls to all champs per run, not just one.
Do something with the 3V3 tag arena would be better, imo, so long and borring

I have a feeling this will rip clans apart. One thing to make things better/easier, they need to improve the chat system in the game
I am a clan leader and I set up a discord chat for my clan.. people who want to join will join and participate
They can improve the clan chat all they want, 80% of players still wont use it.
I watched the whole "Siege" vid and I noticed in the "prep stage" that the timer said 2d.16h so I think this is going to be a week long event that'll probably happen every other week between CvC's. If it is going to be week long then I also predict clans splitting up over this mode as time to play your game and do this on top of CvC/fusions/Titan events is way too much for people with RL commitments. Raid is almost a second job as it is, and putting more pressure on time without significant time saving QoL's everywhere else it will be too much for many to keep playing I'm thinking as Raid is fast becoming a PvP game with PvE elements instead of the other way around and what most of the player base started playing Raid for was the PvE.
Too complicated. Too time consuming. I do not play RAID to interact with other players. Will require lots of exchanges on discord, as the in-game clan chat sucks. 😢

I got a bad feeling this will just amplify the really stupid behavior that some clan leaders have towards their fellow clan mates. Mess up a defense, get kicked out, stuff like that.
That's why not to join clans that care about this garbage
then join a more casual clan, not one of those very competitive one...

This will be fine if you are in a clan full of Krakens. If you're in a less competitive clan, you're never going to get anything out of this. And the amount of extra time required is making this game feel like a second job 😊
so if ur not a competetive clan u will lose to clans who take it more serious than urs? damn how shocking, that should be illegal, u should win even if u are less competetive than ur enemys :)
Clans likely will be matched against other clans of similar strength. Krakens v. Krakens and ftp v. ftp. There is likely nothing but rewards for participating (you don't lose anything for losing cvc), and it likely won't cost energy to do these battles.
The only down side to me is the potential time sink. My clan isn't going to be facing pay-to-win clans, we'll be facing similarly powered clans, so I just don't care about krakens.

I love the new addition but, "A game for the unemployed": should be there new moto. Since you won't have enough time to both progress and play seige in this game. But then again, I guess you can chose what you want to do
Because we had such a weak fusion (with the same hero path afterwards) I finally jumped from 7 to maxed on Sand Devil. There is no time to enjoy the game your way when the game mandates what you do. Similarly, the time constraints have made me virtually abandon 2 other Plarium games I'd spent money in for 10 years each (Stormfall and Sparta).
True. I'm only playing this game to fill time on a leave of absence from work. I won't be able to keep up when I go back soon.

This is going to be a blast. It's already very hard to recruit new members, and now we will probably lose ppl who want to play siege while the rest doesn't even want to look into it. At least that's the feeling i've gotten from the chat in the clan already. So most likely i'm going to disband my 4 year old clan over this. And if I have to do that, I'm out myself. Awesome.
One of the things that annoys me with CC's on this is that they are all pretending that the majority of ppl actually like "pvp". There needs to be a button available for clan leaders to simply opt out of the whole siege thing.

I don't understand your rationale here. Does your clan never win a CvC or hydra clash? Never beat people on your level? That's what matchmaking is for. As for my clan, we win some and lose some but we never feel outmatched and we're ranked around 900. Way outside of the top 10.
Just want to point out i don't have enough time for this so i will skip and the only result of this will be me getting kicked from my clan for inactivity, another way to squeeze money out of players.

Facts. I was in the same clan for 3 years and was forced to leave over CvC and Hydra. Our clan was very competitive and to be competitive against emerging super clans that were being formed minimums were continuously raised. When the clan leader raised CvC min to 750k and hydra to 2bill I had to leave. I was spending roughly $500 a month and 30hrs a week to stay in the clan. Plarium is forcing clans to recruit bigger spenders and this is what will end the game.
Ash has an incredible ability to assimilate information so quickly for his viewers and really create understandable content, this is even more evident and collaborations where he creates space for other ideas and thoughts while quickly piggybacking off of them and extrapolating upon certain thoughts and
ideas to make easily digestible content

How will clan leaders be able to tell what my account even looks like and all champs I might have to use? Doesn't even sound like a workable system already
That's relatively simple it will allow the leaders to see your champs, that is easily programmable. I've played other games that had a similar style clan war.
No it doesn't sound workable. How's the average clan leader supposed to sift through a pool of... Well potentially 300+ champions? It sounds a mighty burden most won't simply have time for
Like I saw in other comments, RL commitments tend to make RSL barely playable as a F2P/mild spender and progress without being logged in and doing things on the side while at work or home. Making a F2P game more time consuming tends to make potential players become idle or not even play. Clan I'm in has had 3 leader changes due to this and now that I'm the leader, trying to turn it around and recruit fresh players that stay is tedious. As Ash has said, one aspect of life suffers when you devote time to anything else, especially with a game that keeps wanting more. Sure every game out there has to keep it fresh to keep players playing, but it's neverending unless the devs screw up and the game takes a serious nose dive. The CCs that cover this game also cover other similar games and totally different styles of games. Platinum NEEDS to heed the player base that actually do CC and comment their social media feeds. My hats off to them for the fun things they've done, QOL improvements, etc but they also need to realize to pick and choose their battles. CCs put their time in to get a few in game goodies and some cool things like the shards Skratch recently got, but it only goes so far and I'd say a majority are on here making extra money by doing vids.
seems like cvc went from mismatched wvw to mismatched pvp.
The only way this works out is if it's quite literally normalized across the board; basically, champions everyone uses are stripped of gear, ascensions, awakenings, blessings, and just treated as their basic champion mode at rank 6. Otherwise, it's just going to be another Kraken v Kraken, Whale v. Whale, and the average player won't get anything out of it.
Everything I've seen, read, and heard about this is bad news. Plarium says they understand the problems with areas of the game (*cough* Classic Arena *cough* Hydra Clash *cough* Tag Arena *cough* Live Arena *cough*) and then go and create a new mode of play with the exact same problems; and combines them. This is just a big ol' flop, and I can already find at least 14 reasons this won't be fun or engaging gameplay. I'm sure part 2 will elaborate and I'll find another 20. Plarium fails, again.
I also want to point out that people aren't so upset that their PvP affects their PvE... They're more upset because of the amount of PvP they have to do to get a decent Great Hall, and what that's tied to; (Arbiter takes 1 rank 10, Ramantu; 3 rank 10's, fairly early on. That's 10,200 Gold medals, at (in Gold 5) 4 each win; making it 2,550 wins; which is exactly that many hours worth of PvP. That only includes the 7 and up tiers; 300 per 6, 250 per 5, 200 per 4... you see where this goes? Going from level 3 to level 10 takes 5,650 gold medals, and again, at 4 each, is 1413 wins per rank 10. It's just such an overwhelming amount of PvP and the benefits are so few and far between... That's what people hate about the Great Hall; not THAT PvP is tied to PvE, it's that not participating in PvP at all, just makes your grind for PvE that much longer.
I wonder if the hp def bomb thing could be preview of a potential champion coming to the game. They been putting out alot of easter eggs about a particular champion that might pair wit that packmaster guy....if that's the case that makes him more valuable, and after seeing this footage mode i think he could be potential key champion in stalling a attack team out.

Issue: Time zones. If half of the clan is in Europe and the other half is North America, I could see people leaving to join clans where their time online matches better. Also, if the end time for Wars is like Hydra & Arena, Euro players will have a major advantage. Lots of North American players don't even bother trying to place in Plat Arena because the final push happens when they are all sleeping.
You are joking, right? The timer resets at 2am in Central Europe when on summer time, so maybe you are thinking Russian time zones?
As a Clan Leader I have 24 members living all over the world. We are not online together at any given time. Gonna be difficult to strategize this with members. I have a feeling many will leave Raid. I am gaming for long but here I am shaking my head😊
#1 Question: Will you be able to purchase the new currency with real-world money? If so, I think that's an issue. P2W is already baked in with roster depth, souls, Empowerment etc. Don't need/want ANOTHER milking update IMO. Having said that, I'm optimistic for the update, looks very cool, PLEASE don't mess this one up Raid.
It is SO much worse than people are willing to admit. Things like this hurts the clans, individual players and ESPECIALLY new players. This drives division. I don't understand why anyone would even start playing this game if your efforts are geared toward F2P. This game will soon consist of whales, krakens and OG's... and OG's will soon be removed from clans because they aren't spending. Small clans with small spenders and F2P players will dissolve. Medium clans with a few big spenders and many small spenders will dissolve and merge with clans with BIG spenders. After that, there will only be a few clans playing against a few other clans. If you are F2P (don't care HOW long you have played) you will not be able to compete. These are signs, folks. They are pushing overpriced trash. Companies do this as a last ditch effort to make as much money as they can before they sell out. I see the writing on the wall.

Well in the last 4 CvC finally my clan face same level of rival. So I think they fixed the matchmaking there.
@@TequilaXD I would say 4 CvC is a very small sample size to claim matching improvements. How many CvC have you participated in since you started playing?
Dunno we don't have any crazy trunda teams and it does pretty good on the hydra clash matchmaking as we win some and lose some. Same goes with CvC.
In a clan management perspective so far it's a planning nightmare and finding who's going to participate. Who will donate for the building and rebuilding.

Live arena XD i always forget there's live arena in this game tbh. They really need to fix most of what's already out, before building new roof.
I agree with the other comments regarding the time investment. Between champ building, fusions, misc. events/tournaments, gearing/regearing, team building, dungeons, clan bosses, doom tower, cursed city, there is PLENTY to do. I'm not sure I wanted yet a new game mode. Being FTP, mastering the various aspects of the game is challenging enough. Oh well, I guess we all make our choices in how much we want to invest as far as time/money.
Great, two more mode specific currencies another crap matchmaking setup for cvc cash play... Gotta know they will tie this to progression some how. Honestly don't have time for another mode

I just can't believe the top raid legend one person put ip 1.5 million clan points for cvc the teammates did a few 100 and we lost. Has a f2p account i put 289k points i have never seen someone put up so many cvc points in 4 years playing this game something is not right in that clan
Something Ash seems to be forgetting when he says the bonuses will help counteract whales in bad matchups... is that the whales also have the bonuses.
It doesn't give anyone an edge, unless they're making a smarter decision about which bonuses to choose.
If anything, the whales and tryhards will be making more educated decisions than the minnows and casuals, getting even more value out of their bonuses.
I think that bomb power is evidence that these stages will have special criteria/auras such as "All champs have a X% chance to place a bomb on each hit. " So in that battle, since every champ can place bombs, you'll want a bunch of cleansers and multi-hitters. But that's just my guess.
This will be a whale feeding frenzy. If you think being seiged by some PTW noob while your silent clan is AFK all the time then this is for you. This will cause all kind of clan drama and just wait till clan descriptions require Seige expertise and participation.
Yay! Another game mode I won't even touch. This game takes way too much time already.

Hopefully they will match up the Clans a lot better than they have in Reg CvC, seems as if my poor lil clan is always outmatched as in we have half as many Gold players as we have been up against. Another prob, my clan circumnavigates the world.half in europe and asia, the other half in USA and Canada not to mention 1 down under , organization may be a chore,due to the different times people log in.
Community: Plarium plz, we need mechanics to reduce the time needed to daily the game! Plarium: We hear you, here is another game mode that will require even more time for you to spebd. Also: Member mobbing/pressuring in clans will pick up again, this time it will hurt the members that don't want to/can't spend more time on the game because many have spend years in theirs clans now contributing to it's level. Many will be forced to switch clans and possibly need to go to a lower level clan. This is so typically Plarium, everything in the game is set up to punish you if you don't play along nicely and even then, also expecting a new mode to be any kind of "fun" is a blod wish given the track record of Plarium. The Content Creators are the only winners here, they are rubbing their hands because content galore is about to be needed/produced/watched. My expectations are low and up to now Plarium always managed to not even meet them.
My clan immediately set up a Discord server, which we probably should have done some time ago, but we're pretty casual-at least up until now. There is a consensus that we'll need to do a lot of coordination, and maybe help each other build better teams and offer tips on upgrading champs, so we took the plunge. Fingers crossed that it won't be a battle of the credit card as we will lose since I'd say 3/4 of the clan are FTP, and those of us who do buy some stuff mostly stick with energy packs.

Way too complex for most players. Only hard core players will be interested in this.
The leader and deputys are the ones in control of rewards placing the teams and upgrading or repairing of the towers ,there are two new rewards for this purpose

Would love auto complete silver keys in DT once you down the boss the first time and I know this has been mentioned before but 1/2 tag team arena tokens but double the rewards or something. Maybe even autocomplete FW too.
I feel obligated to voice my experience with competitive play inside raid as a mid to late game ftp in an average clan. My clan often comes in 1st or 2nd in hydra clash and we win about half of CVC events though not as many pr CVC events. I don't understand why so many people complain that all new game mods are too hard or kraken fests. There is a very large player base that can be competitive in this content without paying a lot of money. Personally I'm hyped for this game mod.

1 thing they didn't really clarify is if you set a hp champions only battle for example, does that affect both teams or just the attacking team?

Should have started this in a simplified version to start with instead you need a degree in raid ,great for saph but to much to start with

It looks to me that they will match same lvl clans and this will run 30 days and play a lot like Sintranos, but the clan leaders are the ones who set up the types of champs can be used as you capture areas then clan members set up the defenses and work to get to the main Fortress. The clan that controls the Fortress at the end of the month gets the loot. I think each area captured also gives loot the first time.

Once we do our first cvc siege,it won't be as complicated. Just assign players here and there and maintain it if it works. It will get easier and easier
As someone who still plays CoC after all these years, I know how huge clan wars were for the game. I hope this does the same for Raid.
If they wanted to ease the clan drama coming the could make it so only the top 5 or 10 clan members can sign up. Or decide among the clan which are competing that way not all members have to participate if they didn't want to.
Im already forced to do Hydra and with some nerfs backend, already doing it, as a chore. Live arena, total BS , log in when it is open, like I am scheduled around it? Sigh every add on slowly pushing me out.

Sorry to ask this question - I have been trying out the Instinct set to see if it could boost some damage.
First - it does not give the message "Ignore def". Second - the damage looks exactly the same as ones that do not ignore defense. Yes, I am using 4 pieces on both Champions.

first. i dont know why your asking a question right here . or why im intending to asnwer it as youll likely never see the respose.. but YES it works , i would say that it likely your champs are not built in such a manner that it reflecting the dmg for if your not buildign wiht adauate ACC Crit% , stacked dmg , and stacked corresponding dmg stat ie: atk def hp... then its really not going to reflect much differnt than any other set anyways... seems to me the most liekly scenario being that your asking the question under wuch circumstances suggests to me like MOST new players that plarium hasnt guided as to how to BUILD a champ properly (thanks to arbiter missions basically misleading ppl away form the reality ).. suggestions... watch some videos on how to build a dmg dealer.. best i can tell ya.

When I tested Instinct versus Savage gear with the same stats on each Champion (one attack and one defense), the Savage gear scored about 23% higher. I am going to assume that could be from the 25% ignore defense, not from the 5% difference in the two sets. When I tested Perception vs Instinct - Instinct scored about 2% more.

My clan is freaking the F out. We all spend way too much time on the game already and this is going to require even more! Heck I'm disabled and unable to work, and I already spend more then 12 hours on this game. This might make and many other players quit
Already hate pvp so combining that with what potentially looks like a huge daily time commitment thats tied to gukld progress scares me. If it comes down to me needing to put a ton of time into this or get kicked from my clan, I'll end up quitting. I already hate needing to do my hydra keys but since i get decent rewards and dont have a damage minum its fine.
Just stop playing, you won't regret it.
This is like another version of Cuersed Sintranos City, except battling AI Bosses, playing against other clans with more RSS and better Champions. F2P versus P2W players, etc.. Lots of mechanics and strategies to work out. This can be costly for either way, time and money. Another black hole venue.
I agree, less time to complete for greater rewards... we use the keys, energy or what ever it is, just once or make them instant complete. That's all!!!!
my doubt is if it is possible to use multiple times the same champion, cause i remember from summoner wars is that each member of the clan can only use 30 uniques champions, you can use 1 v 4 to try to win but only 30 uniques champions at at "cvc" (siege) in this case
I have so many questions thst I hope they answer in next video.
1. When you attack a defense and fail. Does tbe defense go back to full hp and cool downs or are they where you left them when they wiped.
2. If you set your best team on defense are they unusable on offense.
3. Will arena auras cont in this mode?

CvC was a hotbed of toxicity... Then they dropped Hydra Clash... And now... this is a nuclear bomb. We've been struggling to keep our clans alive. We are so screwed.
It’s not half as complicated as it looks.. I think everybody is overthinking it because there are so many options. Like all other games with many options.. The same ones will be used every time. The idea wants it to be different and complex but that never works in any game. There is always going to be the best option and everybody is going to use it. It’s going to come down to who spends the most money.. “cough” I meant who has the best champions…
It's Plarium. If it doesn't suck, that itself will be amazing.

1st place: 5 pieces
2nd place: 4 pieces
3rd place: 3 pieces
4th place: 2 pieces
5th place: 1 piece of gear
Speaking for our small little clan… we have 3 people who actually chat. Plenty are active but no one ever talks. So I don’t see us being able to really coordinate things…
Our clan just barely can hang onto shards until CvC, so I feel quite doubtful that a new challenge with intrinsic members' cooperation will be exciting. I mean, not really setting the world on fire in Total Battle, and Clan Wars seems to have the same order of operations.

What if they tie in 3v3 to this? Players set up their 3v3 teams then leader and deputies can place them, and choose bonuses. Then atleast defense is set, even if they aren’t very active. Then you get 3 attacks, 1 per team, to use each week? I think that would be good for some sort of clan control.
Lemure is the only HP bomb champ while Grunch is a support bomb champ. You have an uncommon and an epic.
I want see same level clan vs same level clan. Not level 7 clan vs Level 14 clan.

Real curious how quickly and easily that a clan can rebuild a completely destroyed layout, stronghold and all. Do you lose tower / stronghold levels when they are destroyed? Are they looted and pillaged by the conquerors? Also, what happens when your clan leader (and lieutenants) loses internet or gets real-life'd?

Think they're gonna add champs that will be specialists to this new piece of content. The HP bomb debuff is an example of them adding champs that take advantage in the future

My guess the first run at this will be semi balanced. After that they will start selling the mana and Florian which immediately puts F2P players out and it becomes pay to win like every game mode in raid. I’m free to play I have zero chance of winning a defense against a player who spends hundreds or thousands on Raid. I get needing to make money for your company but a would imagine that a big % of there player base spends zero or very little to play. To help even out a little bit the pay to win aspect it would be nice if some of the tower powers were team power limits like you ccs do in like your hydra clashes so that lower lvl people have a chance to use strats to beat people who just pour money in obviously won't make it even but might give free to play ppl at least a chance
That would assume Plarium gives a damn about F2P players. I'll let you in on a little secret... They couldn't give 2 shits about you if you are F2P.
I agree they don't but unless the spenders want to continue to move gear the would need to build new team needing more characters built and I would assume that there will be a scaling to clan vs each other so most ftp clans won't be versing kraken teams but may vs low spend teams and the need to build better low power teams may push some extra spending

My guess is that the rewards will be some kind of PvP sets and probably Primal Shards.
I like the depth for those who want it but this is not my only game. It feels to do everything in raid you cant play anything elses. Oh well.
I am not a fan of pvp in this game. I am not looking forward to more pay to play content.

Going to be a total mess. Coordination is going to blow. Level 10 clan and we keep getting CVC opponents way stronger than us. This will be the same thing. Cursed City looking mess.
