I bought one a couple weeks ago. Yes, more expensive than a Glock but, In my opinion better in a lot of ways. For the records, former lawman and SWAT guy of 22 years. Participated in four SWAT Olympics (So I understand the requirement for reliability and accuracy) and have owned and am an armorer in several weapons systems to include Sig Sauer, Glock Colt and have shot/owned a ton of handguns over the last 45 years. I took the Archon to the range with 400 various types of rounds/makers/bullet weights. I did not pre oil the gun. I had ZERO malfunctions of any sort. Fast fire at a two-inch target at 15 yards and at first, I thought I was missing my target. Turns out, I had rounds going through the same holes. This gun is as accurate as my Sig P320 AXG Pro and feels better in the hand than any of my numerous Glocks/CZ's/HK/S&W's/ETC, Blah/Blah. Frankly, the fastest and flattest handgun I now possess. Two minor gripes for the records. First, the take down pin got pretty hot after 150 rounds fast fire and lastly, the mag release did suck but, I took her home and lubed her up while working the release and now.....sunshine, unicorn farts and rainbows. This gun should be way more popular and hopefully will be. I've never been a fancy fella to stick all manner of crap on a defense pistol, I am a dinosaur and have used iron sights for my entire life and pretty well at that. The Achon is a lite, very accurate, reliable, flat shooting as anything I have ever laid hands on and I am gonna tote this ARCHON for the foreseeable future

Great video Jimmy! I'm really not concerned with the trigger heating up like MAC was complaining about. When I go out shooting I'm not trying to see how fast I can spit lead out of my guns, I actually take the time to enjoy the shooting and improving my skills. Seeing how many and how fast seems kind of expensive and pointless. I can appreciate a good torture test but I'll let someone else foot the bill, lol. As for the light primer strikes MAC and Honest Outlaw were experiencing, if I run across that problem it's an easy fix and I'm sure Archon will take care of me. I should be getting mine early next week (was hoping I would get it yesterday since it shipped last Tuesday but no dice). I'll let you know how mine runs!

I ran 250rds of federal no lps, however I did have the slide lock back prematurely 2 times. Even though I’m left handed it may have been my grip bc my hand sits so high. I’m not sure. I then tried some reloaded and had 2 lps out of 75 rds. This could have just been the cheap reloaded ammo.
Great video James can’t wait to get mine hopefully in mid October. But with my arthritis in my hands I really want to get that under 5 pound trigger you were using. Hope you can hook me up with that. Looks like it was a fun day of shooting.
Got my Type B a week ago and with 500+ rounds, not a single issue. As for the trigger getting hot, you put hundreds of rounds through any gun with a steel trigger or frame and in a couple of minutes, it's going to get hot. Happens when I shoot a high round count match with a Shadow 2 also. About M.A.C, I know lots of people like him but I've seen a few videos where he subtlety stirs the pot. Example, in the Sig Rattler video, he said some guy from Sig repsonded to his Instagram page that the Rattler was never meant to be suppressed. Hell, I can say I'm from Arkon and the Type B wasn't designed to be shot fast. Doesn't mean I'm really from Arkon does it. Then, the Rattler has a 5.5 inch barrel but it's really a 3.5 barrel because 2 inches of it is the chamber. Uh, well, wouldn't that apply to ever other rifle as well? Your 16.5 inch barrel is really a 14.5 inch. That said, I don't rely on porfessional gun review channels for anything but general information. For real opinions, I'd rather here from owners who bought the gun and lived with it for a while.
My Type B runs just fine with my support hand (left) thumb riding the side or even the top of the slide and I'm over 1K rounds with mine. I have no issues with ANY of my polymer framed striker fired guns doing this....regardless of ammo type. If someone is getting light primer strikes, it should NOT be due to having the support thumb riding the slide.
The Light Primer Strike issue is now across two major UA-camrs guns; it seems Archon knows about the problem. IMO so long as they fix it quickly and definitively (Looking at YOU SIG) I would not count it as a strike against the gun. The warm trigger complaint is meh; overall I am excited for the gun but going to wait a few months until the bugs are worked out. Like any new product; there will be bugs.
Um... As an operational delta operator of SEEL Team Ranger and Scout OIC of Task Force Thin Mint, I average 1000rds per 5 minute shooting session and having a hot trigger is very detrimental to my 800 meter accuracy. It's a REAL WORLD serious problem!

What did you install to reduce the pull? I wouldn't mind shaving a # off the factory weight when my preorder arrives!!

Being fixed as I type, my gun now 2200 rds. 3 lps and 2 ftf... damn good!
