@@Morten_Nielsen1979 I stop at rating anyone in this class. They were all GREAT guitar players and musicians, sought out each other's company to play together, to be inspired and to be creative, and to have a great time. Weren't they the only ones along with Les Paul to receive the Chet Atkins Award, which I believe was called the Bad Ass Guitar Player Award?

I listened to Rock and 60's Rock, and used to Rock. But when Glen, Chet, Roy, and Jerry played on them country channels, I used to listen since they were so damn good. And they were nice guys. Talent goes past genres. You impress me more and more, I am not a musician since I was severely handicapped at birth and born with two left ears. But I am sure you were born in the Rhine Delta to Tulip Sharecroppers, singing those old Dutch Blues, and you were Delftly handling the guitar while they were keeping the beat with the wooden clogs on the Zuider Zee soil. You really country. No matter what the country, you country. Jerry would have had a great time playing with you. As would the others.

I don't know if Jerry Reed is under-rated or under-known, but either way he doesn't get the props that he deserves. I think Smokey & The Bandit made people think of him as a side actor rather than an accomplished musician. You do it justice.

I've never heard this song before, but now I'm definitely going to learn it. You sing and play this song perfectly. It probably only took you two seconds to learn. You're just too humble to admit it. LOL. The first time I saw Jerry Reed playing guitar and singing was on a live video recording on a show that I can't remember. It may have been with Chet Atkins. When I saw him shootin' out them riff and licks, I was sold. I only knew him as a great actor. Thanks for this lesson. Keep up the great work. Cheers.

Jerry Reed has that trademark “Claw” technique. Another thing a lot of people don’t know about Jerry.... He made up his own alternate tunings! When Elvis went to record one of his songs.... Scotty Moore just could NOT replicate Jerry’s guitar parts!!! The producer called Jerry, asked him how they could make it sound like he did when he recorded it. Jerry told him “Well Hoss.... only way your gonna get it to sound like me.... is too HIRE me to play it!”.... and they did!! Jerry Reed was one of less than a handful who was conferred the title “Certified Guitar Player” by Chet Atkins! I think the only living “CGP” is Tommy Emmanuel
