So super late to this. But according to a friend of mine who’s a really good sound engineer. Milla in Xillia 1 has one other problem aside from questionable voice direction. *She is speaking into a slightly busted microphone when no other character in the game is* This is most notable whenever Milla says any word with a hard “s” in it. Whenever this happens, there is a very slight peak in the audio and once you notice this it is impossible to unnotice. To put this “s” problem into perspective, you will hear this every time she says the word “Spirit” in Xilia 1, and that’s a word that is very important to its world and plot.
My second waifu. She was a very effective mother for Morgan when paired with my Mag+ Luk- Avatar. My dark flier Morgan with Astra and Ignis wrecked everyone and when she got galeforce it was all over. Anyway, i really like Say'ri over Lon'qu. She has better stats but he has many more supports. They sort of balance out. I usually make Lon'qu an assassin to differentiate the two.
Like you said in the vid, supports are limited for her and it's a major flaw. To me, supports pretty much make or break a character for me. If a character has very little supports, it's to the bench they go. It doesn't matter if they have better stats growths, modifiers or skills, ie: Spotpass characters. IDC!! TO THE BENCH FOR YOU!!! Why? 1)They will tend to do worse in battle cause of the lack of supports and like you said, supports are kinda OP. 2)The lack of story/character development. Like you said with "GIGANTIC SPOILER FOR PART 51", his supports with the avatar are pretty well written. I have seen the supports and it's pretty clear how he as a character changed the first time you met him. Other than that, he gets Jack shit so yeah. 3)DLC. Kinda the same reason as the first one but it's pretty different from the type of Fire Emblem player who plays DLC and the ones who just play the story. They will suffer in DLC missions because of the sheer difficulty of some of them and again, the lack of supports means they will be pretty bad on them and try might, well, DIE!! Except maybe "GIGANTIC SPOILER FOR THE LAST PARALOGUE" and even then that guy can struggle quite a bit if you are not careful. Those are my reasons for not using characters such as Say'ri and Anna. They can sit on my bench as a sort of trophy saying HEY I GOT THEM!!!
I Think IF Hoshido, Nhor and SPOILERS are in a different wolrd, maybe some People from Hoshido accidentally went troght the Dragongate, and ended up in Valentia (Acutal Valm) and founded Chon'sin
You got deliver wrong. Though I'm sure you know that now. Panne has it and so does Gerome. I passed it down to Yarne and Lon'qu passed down astra and he has lethality from going assassin. Also my friend really wants to marry her in his next playthrough. Her or Panne anyway. He still can't decide. He married Cordelia the first time. I actually know Tales of Xillia. I like that game and her voice. I'm weird like that. Who was that other awakening character or is it still a spoiler at the moment. Cause I know it's not aversa.
Jibri Bell Female Swordmasters (besides Lucia) are often awesome, so I sort of share your bias. I like that Say'ri is basically a main character during the Valm Arc, giving her a lot of screentime and dialogue. I just wish she had more supports.
I didnt know that people hated Milla because of her voice acting! I thought she sounded pretty good in Tales of Xillia. Then again I never played Tales of Xillia 2 and I kind of like Jude a bit more than Milla. In fact my sister really loves Jude.
There's a bit of a lisp in her lines sometimes, which seems to have been an intentional part of the voice direction. She doesn't lisp in Xillia 2. Some of the dislike for her goes beyond voice acting, some people find her role in the plot awkward and think the other characters talk her up too much. I'm personally okay with her. I don't dislike her, but she's not my favourite character. Jude is awesome though. Mainly because Sam Rigel is awesome.
Most likely the other way around, seeing as certain things imply Fates takes place before Awakening. But they seem to be separate universes, so probably not.
I remember being quite fond of Say'ri's support conversations with the female avatar. Not really the first one, but B and A moreso.

You got Deliverer and Defender mixed up. Deliverer grants Movement+2 when paired up and defender gives the +1 to all other stats.

That'd explain why she sounds bad despite being a good voice actress. And why she's a lot better in Xillia 2.

The _Vernster Stat wise Say'ri is still pretty decent though. She often beats a Lv 1 promoted Lon'qu in stats from the start.
