For me, it was the sad conclusion of Paul Duncan and North 2’s story. As Paul sits in denial that his best and only friend had died at the hands of a mechanical creature tricked into giving up its humanity in exchange for power and uncontrollable hate. I cried when I read it in the original manga, and the waterworks came flooding back out when I saw it again in motion. And the composition and tune sung at the end as North 2 fought Pluto acted as the hand that twisted that release valve open.
Such a tragic character. In the last episode where it shows how Gesicht "adopted" his child absolutely broke me. Seeing all the vague scenes from early episodes coming together, knowing why Atom cried after reading Gesicht's memory chip - just heartbreaking. Loved Pluto, one of the top shows of 2023. Shame it was released on Netflix. Hopefully over the years it gains the recognition it deserves

this is Astro Boy, you can think of this like diferent movies or series versions of batman, but the structure is the same, with the same characters, I think is like that. Atom is the true name of astro boy in the japapanese series

Earlier in the episode, Hoffman's warning Gesicht to go in for repairs because he took a compact cluster canon at point blank saving Adolf from that hitman, which severely weakened Gesicht and left him vulnerable if such a weapon was used against him. If you look at Ali's arm, he's using the same cluster canon as the hitman, and since Gesicht's body hadn't been repaired in time from his first attack, this one did him in. Since Ali's brain was wiped, smart money is on Abdullah being the culprit because he talked to Hoffman about it in the bathroom and saw Ali peaking during their interrogation.

Gesicht was the only one capable of fighting back and even scaring off Pluto, the others didn't stand a chance.
Atomu was actually the only one with Gesicht and maybe Epsilon peak who could fight Pluto
