- Hey Guys and Gals,
This is part 4 of the new segment that I am doing showcasing a line of figures that you might want to collect! Today we are taking a look at the One piece cast from the variable action heroes. If you were on the fence on picking up these figures hopefully I can help guide you on whether or not you should pick up this line for yourself! Amazing collection, im trying to collect the super action statue of jojo's but damn im going to buy mihawk, hancock and robin cause they look amazing
All 3 are great figures! Just wish qc was a little better.
i got the past blue zoro recently and it’s absolutely my most favorite figure i own. the joints are stiff, and actually pop off, and pop back in with a little bit of pressure. not sure if that’s intentional so you don’t break something adding attachments. either way, it’s freakin awesome
Yea these figures could definitely be great! Just be careful since there are some qc issues and those joints can definitely break.
The only varible action hero i have is luffy and he was amazing until his joints became loose
That is the main complaint about this line. And because of that main reason line is pretty much dead.

I finally was able to order Ace for a reasonable price and I’m so glad, I know he was very popular and with him getting a rerelease I wanted to get him as soon as I could, as of rn I haven’t gotten him in the mail yet but I’m so looking forward to getting him
I wish but they’re like $200+ each
If you dont mind second hand figures then go to Manadarake. They are all under 80 dollars. And most of the time the items are like brand new!

i just got the re-release of nami and i love it the joint problem is fixed only problem is making her stand without a stand but that looks to be an old problem just waiting on some extra money to get chopper and the rest
Awesome glad you are enjoying the figure. Yea the female figures in this line is hard to stand because they have such small feet and most of them are wearing heels so its hard. haha... I use the tamashii nations huminoid stage act 4 stand to help them stand.
It's cool that youtubers who do action figure reviews answer there fans comments most youtubers don't do that we need more youtubers like him For sure

Those are actually from the s.h.figuarts effect line. They have many different colors you can go with so try them out!

I would pick up the re-release of Luffy or any version of zoro because they are in my opinion one of the best figures in the line!

I only collect SH Figuarts Dragon Ball figures but I’ve always liked these One Piece Figures. They’re just so expensive now. 😩 I can afford them I just don’t think it’s fair how expensive they have become.

Sry for such a late response! Two places I would check are amiami preowned. and mandarake. Those places only sell authentic figures and they have for best price!
well i have lluffy so i saw ace so now my ace is on the way these figures r very god but on amazon canda withs shipping it 42 dollars
42 is not bad! Hopefully your Ace figure doesnt have loose joints! If so it will be an amazing figure for your collection!

daybreak748 lol that's actually pretty far, what do you think of the series? Oh and I tried recording the loot anime unboxing, but honestly, I didn't like the way it turned out so I scrapped it :( but I'll try to do another one for next month!
I love it man. The style is soooo different and the characters are just fantastic! Was the loot crate any good?
daybreak748 it was alright, there was a log horizon light novel, jibril shirt, Asuna socks and chibi figure, and a re zero picture frame. I personally really liked the shirt and novel, the rest are pretty cool

I really want to buy a Megahouse One Piece figures and these looked amazing, but Im still not quite sure what to get yet. The Portrait of Pirates or variable action heroes? Any advice?
Hey Froakii.
If you are looking for a articulated version of these characters then Variable action heroes is definitely the line for you.
The portrait of Pirates figures are all scale figures meaning no articulation. So I guess it depends on what you are looking for. The Potrait of Pirates figures have been around for ALOT longer and they have a crazy amount of characters already made. While the Variable Action Heroes line is still relatively new and so they do not have the characters you want. Both lines are fantastic but depends what kind of figures you are looking for. Also just letting you know some of the potrait of pirate figures are EXTREMELY expensive. lol since they are harder to come by etc... But if you have the means then its definitely not a bad line to collect! Hope this helps in your decision making! Let me know which one you decide to go with! =)
Hey man thanks for the quick answer! Its a hard choice haha because I like both lines they both look really nice! I love articulation but then again a lot of joints and maybe some really loose joints but with Potrait of Pirates there is almost no articulation and some dosent look as good and detailed as the Variable heroes (for example Sanji) Still in the thinking process :P
Lol! definitely a hard decision. Maybe you have to look at it this way. Do you have alot of space? If so maybe the portraits figures might be something you can do. If you are like me and you dont have infinite space you might want to go with the vah line. Also take into consideration the cost. I know that some of the potrait figures go for CRAZY money. If you have that kinda money then go for it! If you cant decide do both lines hahaha!
Yeah it definitely is! I don't have a lot of space really, if I clean I get a bit more but xD I have the money now for sure and both lines are the most expensive but some P.O.P have gone for well over 150-200 dollars. I have the money for now but I wont be able to keep it up since I dont have any main income yet I only have a summer job that I will probably get to keep throughout the autumn/winter before school in 2019 so.

That is true! It could be. Maybe wait for a re-release? I know the variable action heroes are releasing other versions of these characters and they seems to be amazing! So maybe just wait? But the Zoro you should definitely get the original if you can! That is an amazing figure!
Hey have you got damaged boxes when you’ve ordered from manadarake? I was looking to get some stuff from there but it looks like they always say it damaged and in the pictures it looks fine
People in Japan will say damaged for the slightest of imperfections. I have purchased multiple times from Mandarake and everytime they say its damaged or used its like brand new haha... You just need to make sure you look at the picture carefully and if everything checks out then you are good to go! =)

If I am not mistaken there should be a sticker on the box somewhere. Usually on the front or back.

A little help please? I have the Luffy figurine and it seems somebody messed up both shoulders joints of it. How do i reset it? Any idea how the joints look look like when reset?

Hey daybreak, I’m just about to start my One Piece collection but Idk who to start with. I’ve been looking for packs of figures on EBay Idk if they can be like scams or something. If you have an idea on if I should get multiple at a time and/or who to get first plz tell me. Much appreciated.
Yea when it comes to lots be careful. Make sure you ask the seller if they are all authentic items. Are you planning to collect the entire line? Or just the strawhats etc... Let me know and i will give you my advice on that! =)

If you are low on cash you should first start off by picking up the ones that were recently released. Usually the older figures go for a higher price point. Now just letting you know. These figures are NOT cheap. They are usually around 60-80 dollars on release date. Now with that out of the way. The first place I would go to take care of majority of the characters you want is mandarake. This site is a second hand shop but they do an awesome job telling you what you need to know about each figure and THEY DO NOT SELL BOOTLEGS. Plus this is the best site if your looking for cheaper deals. Now do be careful. You need to make sure you look at where the item is coming from. If one item is from umeda store and the other is from nagoya then your going to be charged twice for shipping! Bundle up the characters you want from one store and then when you get more money look again at that website for the others you need. Now if you want brand new items only then you should go to amiami.com. There you can purchase all authentic items and it will be at a cheaper price point then going to places such as ebay. daybreak748 thanks for both of them but for the first link I can’t tell if the price was 1K+$ or not because when I looked at Ace it’s says “Our Price: 1000 something$” so I don’t really know if that’s the actual price or not.
