This is why I still fish with a Daiwa Saltiga z6500H Dogfight offshore... The hardiest and most robust reel to come out of a Daiwa factory.... 100% reliability!
Thanks for showing up that new saltiga doesn't have a "new" oscillation system! Also for a "new" reel i just see a heavy with big handle reel which also cost too much money! Thanks i will stick with Shimanos!
Well personally lots of people can wait until other models come out such as Certate SW, Caldia SW, BG, etc in future. Personally, I might have not bought one if I did not this channel TBH haha
We are afraid but what's for? It really depends on what you use it for, if that's for the lighter type of fishing it's a good reel :) You can see our review if interested.
This is just pure business structure. They will never put out a perfect product even tho they can. People would by one time and no need for constant buying
Well we are not quite sure about it, it might be but might not be, we don't know as we are not a part of the company and it'd be super hard to define Perfect Product, even if I could own fishing reel maker and made the perfect reel for me, that would not be a perfect one for somebody else. All we can say is we will see how it is when it's out, from our perspective :)
So the oscillation rollers are another part that Daiwa refuse to supply and you’re forced to send in the reel to Daiwa for repair. Why does Daiwa keep going down this path trying to force consumers away from maintaining their own reels? Pretty grubby business tactic just for small profit gain
Yeah personally I think the same, while Shimano supplys almost of all the parts by separate order. The DAIWA staff told us that is to prevent the issue happening from DIY maintenance.
They reintroduce the roller oscillation to the new 25 saltiga and jack the price up almost half the price of the 20 saltiga. My 20 saltiga 8k cost at around 100k japanese yen and the 25 saltiga cost at around 150k japanese yen i dont think that its worth it.....😊😊😊just my humble opinion
that roller drag pads are cool but its for very big game fish and i dont think everyone will be getting that 14k+ reel as lots people dont use such a big gear for normal size fishing ...i pull 40inch halibut with my cheap BG DAIWA 4k reel
@@thatonebeoneyou can get that roller drag spool from 8k upto 14k through daiwa's after market online shop SLP -works but if you buy the spool you have also too buy the drag knob which is sold separately....
@@thatonebeone i do also own a 16 daiwa bg 5000H and by the way you can fit a 20 saltiga or 21 certate SW spool to the 16 Daiwa BG provided they have the same body size. And also i don't think that you need that new roller drag....

Yes as we included in the video, surprisingly. We'll see how it's different from the last model :)
