You will never know how many times we have said ..."Let's go to Musso & Frank. To date we have not gone. This was a great video. Really loved seeing this place.
Thank you -- yeah, it was cool to be where there was so much history. I couldn't believe they let me sit at Charlie Chaplain's table. I had just planned to take a photo of it, and they're like, "No, you have to be in the picture!"
Hey JZ great legendary Hollywood spot. I couldnt resist myself. Went there back in 2010 just for a martini. Read about in LAWeekly. It was empty but i could feel the history. Keep on.
Thank you so much! It's not empty anymore! It took me about 3 weeks to get a reservation that worked for me,. The night I sat at the counter, I got there at 5:00 when it opened. But it was packed by the time I left. It's too bad they aren't open for lunch anymore -- that Merchant Lunch looks really yummy!
Go back to your old Welsh Rarebit recipe!!!!!!!!!! Remember The Stanley Rose Bookstore, which is now the New Room, that's where and why the writers spent time together during the new "Talkie" Fad! See The Boys in the Backroom by Bud Schulberg!
Thank you for sharing. My husband and I dined there this summer. What a fabulous experience! The service was impeccable. The food delectable. We were glad that we took the time to dress nicely as it was a marvelous experience. Wonderful memories.
You mentioned Raymond Chandler, and Michael Connelly who's the contemporary Raymond Chandler mentioned Musso's on some of his novels. This is a nice tour vlog.
@@JasmineApple yes ma'am it was. He's featuring L.A not just as a settings but a character that gives highlight to the story. He's good at a details on L.A's landscape, like the Poquito Mas where he can throw a bottle of beer on the roof from his cantilevered house's back porch up Woodrow Wilson dr.
@@raiisbox3371 that's hilarious! Poquito Mos is one of my go-to mexican food places. I'll have to check out the one on woodrow wilson drive & see if there are any beer bottles on the roof!
@@JasmineApple Nope, it's not at Woodrow Wilson. It's right down below that looks so near but you have to drive down Cahuenga pass I think, geez I forgot😂
Thank you! It was tough to do, because they have a policy about not filming other people. I was panning the 2nd dining room, & they asked me to stop. I can respect that. It's really a cool place, & the cheesecake! So memorable!

It's a super cool place - expensive, though. But to be in a place with so much history is really cool!
Looks like a wonderful place with some fun history 😎😋

Great video. It's informative and entertaining. Well done.
Thank you so much!
Charles Bukowski and Ruben Rueda...not Steve Mac Queen.
Thx for the clarification!
@@JasmineApple Thx for the ride. 👍

Thanks! I will check The Boys in the Back Room out!
The lunch menu excited me 😥...lol, you had me going!
I know, right? I wanted to come back for that lunch, too! If they ever reopen for lunch, I'll be first in line!
Larry Harnisch said he saw you in there but he chose to ignore you. You know Larry he is a copy editor at the LA Times
Haha! Ignoring me is always the best option!

Thank you! I didn't know that Michael Connelly had mentioned Musso & Frank's in his novels. If you ever get to LA, you should check it out!

Nice video, thanks. Gives a good sense of the layout and details most clips usually miss.
