NIce review. I too am considering alternative to the OSMO. I liked this but was concerned with the audio quality, as many other reviewers pointed out. But your setting under the HI mode, did not seem too bad.

What would you recommend to vlog and shoot nice b. roll in 2020 ? Osmo pocket + freewell wide lens or fimi palm? My budget is not really the concern, i just want a great quality while being practical and easy to use
Well the pocket has a bit of shallow depth of field, if you film close objects is better for broll, and yeah with the wide lens you get the Fimi palm basically, so probably that! Hope they make a new improved osmo pocket this year

Probably is better for what it does, being a portable vlog camera, point and shoot, works great, don't worry about focus, wide angle and it's half the price!

It's an alternative - the Pocket is more expensive but it is more of a professional device, and if you don't want the super wide field of view of the Palm, then it could be the better choice - it really depends on the task in hand. Different tools for different tasks.
An excellent review, you cover a lot of ground very clearly in a quite short presentation. The choice of the Pocket or the Palm comes down to the kind of task you are doing. Think of it like two lenses for a DSLR. One isn't better than the other - you just attach the right one for the shot. If you can't afford the Palm and the Pocket, choose the one which you think you would most often use for the videos you usually make.
Thank you! Of course both are valid options, I am just taking into consideration who this is for, for a starting out vlogger on a budget the palm is a good option also for the price, at the price of an osmo you start getting other options, like gopros or even used cameras!

Great, but can you tell me where is the Bluetooth on Fimi Palm? And how to connect by BT?
There's no bluetooth in the settings. The Pocket uses bluetooth for making the wifi connection - maybe this works the same way - or maybe it will become available in a future update.
I've not seen any Bluetooth, you have 5.8 and 2.4 wifi, tried and works really good with the app
@@Ozpeter But in the specs is writen is having Wifi and Bluetooth. I tought it would be a perfect way to connect a BT-microphone, so you can clips it wherre you want or hold it like on interview. And stream it by Wi-Fi over the phone. I paid for a BT, but is not there.

I got my Fimi Palm a week ago. I like it much better than my GoPro 5. Since I don't have a Osmo Pocket, I don't know what I'm missing. I am enjoying the videos and learning to get the most from it. I bought a circular polarizing lens, a macro lens, a UV lens, and a wide-angle lens. The wide-angle lens really makes close-quarters, indoor shots very inclusive. I need to buy some good video editing software. Do you have suggestions for mid-priced software? Thank you for your well-presented video.

When they start praising a product like thanks bang good and xiaomi for sending me the free product and their subs count are below 10k. That means that they are bought into the product and ull see all pro and not a single con!!! Bought in UA-cam squad crap!
Honesty is important to me and I'm not forced to like the product, in the video I list the good and the bad, but overall it's a nice product and meets the task it's created for, if you watch the video you can hear me listing all the bad (unboxing/microphone/photo mode/slomo mode/ low light performance/missing audio jack and probably more)
onboard audio sucks.
It's much better than GoPro and maybe my phone too, if they can fix that little hisses I can't complain, and there is always the external mic option
