Spine lateral flexion

Spine lateral flexion occurs at the vertebral joint, where the thoracic & lumbar vertebrae articulate forming a facet or plane joint.
Spine lateral flexion is where the spine bends to the side, typically around 45 degrees across the frontal plane.
The agonistic muscle which enables spine lateral flexion include the internal & external obliques, quadratus lumborum & iliocostalis
