Thank you for this video. Gives me a lot of insights about the newly opened stations sine 2years ago I was there. I’m looking forward to be back hopefully this year when Thailand reopens. ขอบคุณมากนะคาบ 🙏😊
At the risk of sounding pompous,I believe you're videos are a valuable and unique snapshot of a country, [Bangkok in particular] and should be treasured and hopefully archived for years to come.
Haha Philip. Thank you so much. I do try to capture the raw Bangkok, how it is at the moment. But I think at the moment there are thousands of people doing the same.
I remember the last time when I was in Bangkok before COVID was in Apr 2019. The last station was Bearing (didn't remember there were more stations beyond even though they were already there) and Mo Chit. When I revisited in Apr 2022, I was 🤯.I swear I don't remember having so many buildings/establishment back in 2017/2018 around Erawan Musuem. Anw, my favourite station to stay at is On Nut. Tesco and Century Mall at either side. I love to go to the Beer Garden at On Nut to have salted tilapia. It is a bummer they have closed down. However, during my recent trip in Dec 2023, we chanced upon the small night market next to Bearing BTS. It will be my frequent hangout place when I go to Bangkok in the future.
Awesome! I love those unedited, pure views of the city! Thank you also for taking the time and providing the times so we can quickly jump to interesting sections! So cool!
thank you so much for this video! i watched the whole thing! man i can't wait to visit bangkok!!!! the more videos i watch the more certain i am that i'm going to love this place
At first, I was a bit puzzled why it looked like you were the only one on the BTS. Then I remembered it was during the pandemic two years ago. Anyway, thanks for the vid. it really helped me relive the nostalgia for my hometown. I used to take the BTS to work at a dental hospital near Victory Monument station every weekday. The route in this clip brings back those memories for me. Thanks again. Have a great day.
I feel like I am in Bangkok when I am watching this great video. I love traveling Bangkok but I can't do that because of the pandemic. The situation isn't also good in Japan. But I'm looking forward to a time when COVID crisis ends and people all over the world can travel freely .
I know what you mean about the way Nana is said. We were on the BTS and a child said it loudly the same way, forever for us it will be heard as a kids voice as NaaNaa
This was truly an excellent and informative video Jeroen. We have never seen the entire Sukhumvit line until today even though we use the BTS constantly when we are in Bangkok. Thank you so very much. 👍👏
Seven hundred and forty thousand daily riders I assume? To say that I am "very impressed with the Skytrain system" is an understatement, knowing how many iterations it took to get the system actually built and running.
It took me 2 days to finish watching, thank you for a great work.it is beautiful BTS train line sign seeing. I am precious that. I miss Thailand 🇹🇭. Will see you soon Thailand.
I miss Bangkok so much, been there 20 times since 2004, last time 2019 - will be there in July/ August. Thank you for taking me on the ride, made me happy! 😊
we will be travelling in Feburary next year to Bangkok and this video was just fantastic. The train passed our apartment that we have booked and now we know that we did the right thing. It was very interesting and we did enyoyed it a lot. Thank you very much
I thoroughly enjoy this video from start to finish. Personally, I took the BTS train from Phrom Phong (E5) to the last stop Kheha (E23) in Jun 2019 before pandemic. So much good memories especially the part when the train passes Erwin Chang museum with the big elephant statue. It’s such a fun, cheap way of day excursion from outer rim of BKK City to downtown core.
On my recent visit to Bangkok I used the Asok BTS station's Sky walk just to cross over to the other side of the street from Sukkumvit. But took a ride from Sanam Chai to Sukumvit by MRT. This train seems very empty as it used to be in the Covid times..The Suburbs & City Side look much like Mumbai and the Train stations have Platform Doors like Underground stations. Thanks for the nice Video. Surely will travel by this BTS in my next trip to BKK.
My first experience of getting around Bangkok was on this BTS line (when it just ran from On Nut to Mo Chit) so thanks for the video. Brought back some happy memories when it was a bit easier to travel than now. You videos give some great ideas for things to do in the city.
Thanks Jeroen, I love this type of video. I did not know about the Erawan Elephant Museum. Today I got off in Siam and tomorrow I will continue on the N1.👍🥇
Thank you for this, in an effort to learn as much about Bangkok as possible before I visit my sister there, I watched the entire video together with a Bangkok map in my hand.
@@globaltravelmate It certainly did. No matter how many guide books one sees about a country you need the impression you get from taking a bus or train trip over a long distance to understand how the city is laid out and how the people actually live. My best experience is taking a bicycle and heading off down tiny alleys stopping at little tea shops and even small factories to understand how people actually live - during a trip to Mauritius, I never even set foot on a beach but went right around the island on daily bicycle trips each day. Besides, since Dahon no longer has an agent in South Africa, I need to buy a new Dahon folding bike in Bangkok when I get there.
This is great! Such a good find. Reminds me of our last vacation here.. Badly want to go back again especially after watching this video! Watched the whole video, Good job!!
Excellent ,watched all the way. SEA has developed so much in the last 30 yrs. I kindly request you to show Mahidol university and the lines that go to Selaya .
This is so relaxing to watch! It brings up memories and your voice is very calming to listen to. I like the short comments and infos! I watched the whole video, it's really amazing! Thank you!
The first 10 stations in the video is in Samut Prakan province. I hope in the future they may extend the line across eastern to Sriraja, Chonburi province.
Very Good Video with your Clear Info about the Stations and Surrounding. I look in my BT S map. Wondering Not everywhere still now the double Security Slide Doors at the stations. Now a lot more stations than before On Nut - Mo Chit. 🙏
I like Metro stations like this where there is no frisking as in all the Indian ones before we enter the 'Gate'.. Also there are Ladies compartment where in Gents cant even enter forget even sitting far away!
The Station Name of 'Asok' is derived from the Indian King's name Ashok-a (who converted himself to a Buddhist Monk after winning over the Kalingas.).I think its 47 stations and not 48..Some stations like Nana and after Phaya Thai there are no Platform Doors.
They did plan for expansion when more people use public transportation more and more. They actually did increase it from 3 to 4 cars back in like 2010, but since railways don't really cover a whole lot of the city right now, like in Japan for example, it's still not the main viable way of transportation.
The skytrain looks conveniences for anyone who is traveling to the city of Bangkok and the outside the City . I myself been away from Bangkok more than fifty years now probably don't recognize the city anymore . Thank you for sharing excellent videos with me.
If you only want to see a certain part of the video, you can click on the station from where you want to start in the description.
"Conditions of Issue" www.bts.co.th/eng/tickets/ticket-conditions.html

Best Public Transportation and best station. Very nice

What a fun thing to do!! I could ride the BTS all day as well and explore. Great way to see the city as someone local would.
Thanks a lot for the video. Absolutely stunning. Great work!!!! 👍👍👍
Kasetsart University is a really great place for biking, Jareon.

I also like "Nanaaaa"! ;-)
It's a long way passed 3 Provinces inThailand : Samutprakarn + Bangkok + Patumtani.
Thank you for taking the time to video the train experience. Great views of the cities by train.
Like everyone else says here, your video is a fantastic guide to the wonderful BTS system in BKK. Thank you!
I know what you mean about the way Nana is said. We were on the BTS and a child said it loudly the same way, forever for us it will be heard as a kids voice as NaaNaa
I love train ride the views of Bangkok is amazing.
Thank you, I feel like I am in the train watching those beautiful sceneries. I enjoy watching your video. Once again, thank you and be safe.

that is a very nice vdo. i love it, for the update of bts's service, thanks.
Really enjoyable video that brought back a lot of memories, thanks.

Yes, 740k daily. Did I say it wrong? I will check later :-)

I can't begin to count the number of times I have started my journey downtown from Kuh Khot... my home area,,,
Now more great transportation in thailand comfort and so fast all amazing bkk and so fantastic ever . Really nice video. !

Prachtige video.
Ik heb anderhalf uur gekeken, wat een indrukken ... Zo veel punten van herkenning.
Mooi dat het Nana hotel vol in beeld kwam !!
Ben blij dat je de video mooi vond.
Great video Jeroen, love to see these as it gives me new ideas of what to see, lets have dinner soon
Fantastic love the sky train
The city well covered.
I see Amarin Plaza and it still has the first McDonald's in Bangkok, opened back in 1985.
❤ thanks you very much ❤️ 🇫🇷
I love these train ride videos
Bangkok metropolis👍
Nice video!!! Please, don’t erase it never, never.
At the Bang-Bua station, there is the Lad-Prao canal that had been renovate which you might go to see.

Nice trip with BTS
Terrific video Sir!! Gives a good perspective on how large Bangkok really is.
Love this video and your commentary. Keep up the good work

@@suwitsuwit8213 I am from the Netherlands
Great video as always
Done. Completed the virtual tour in the Skytrain Sukhumvit BTS Line !!
Thank you for your great and informative video 😊🙏
Amazing vlog as always ! Very useful and informative content …Top quality mate .Keep up the good work 👌🏻👌🏻👍🏻

Sukhumvit line is legendary. If there weren’t this line, there would be no today’s Bangkok. The fare is ridiculous though.
awesome! ♥
Thank you for sharing your work with passion, I really appreciate it.
It's very interesting sir, and your video is easy to understand with the time stamp
Great video for the longest BTS line 53 km tree provinces transport station.I think it is longest line in Asian.
Khun Rangsant, had a quick look on google and the East West Line in Singapore is 57,2 km long. I think we have to wait for the next extension :-)
thanks a lot for this vid, i learned a lot!
This is very useful information, thank you!
very nice trip, thx!
I LOVE IT!!! I would love to see more videos like this :)
Very well done, congrats! Just if you could let’s see more time beautiful people inside could make my eyes happy, thanks
Thanks..we see through your eye ..
Love this informative video
I will go! 👍
Salute you with ' Dom Perignon '
You the man!!
When I get back to BKK, Im gonna do a video with you. We are gonna ride some new train
Super Film.
Loving it mate
waiting for the bts version :)
Nice video. How about putting an arrow on the google map next time to show the viewers the direction where you are going to, if that can be done?
All train end stations in thai:
เคหะฯ SUKHUMVIT คูคด I think?
บังหว้า SILOM สนามกีฬาแห่งชาติ
The Metropolis building looks really nice. So many KFCs! Those station security guys must be bored out of their minds
Heeeeey Mr.Jaroen....i made it in time....somewhat...😄
Glad you made it :-)
@@globaltravelmate I'm glad you're glad.. 😆😆 Let's keep it that way...always👍🙏
Nice ❤️
I lived near Wat Phra Sri for 3 years. BTS was so helpful. I moved back to England and public transport here is shit basically
I like Metro stations like this where there is no frisking as in all the Indian ones before we enter the 'Gate'.. Also there are Ladies compartment where in Gents cant even enter forget even sitting far away!

i think bankok is better than hanoi...
Great video! Hope to visit Bangkok and try the Metro soon. Btw, may I know what's the music you used for the intro?
I still believe prices on skytrain are too high when you look at other metros, given a normal thai salary, no? 23 baht sometimes for just one station
If only 1 station away I believe they will probably walk . I'm Thai with normal salary at 30K and 23 B. It's not much
The BTS is 4 hi-so. The less privileged will do with a opened window bus.
The way the say Nana😊
I think Nana on the BTS is everybodies favorite :-)
Didnt you get a Day Pass for 124 baht ?
Anyways , yr videos are calm & soothing.
No need for the Day Pass if you don't leave the station :-)
The beeping before the doors
Was nerve racking to some extent
I noticed all the platforms are much longer than the train length. Is there a plan to add extra carriages in the near future?
They did plan for expansion when more people use public transportation more and more.
They actually did increase it from 3 to 4 cars back in like 2010, but since railways don't really cover a whole lot of the city right now, like in Japan for example, it's still not the main viable way of transportation.
😘😘😘😘
The last time I went home is
Was in nineteen ninety nine
Before the sky training was
The opening misses all of the excitement in the city .
You should come back. You will not recognize Bangkok, but believe me!! It is still very different from other places in the world :-)
The skytrain looks conveniences for anyone who is traveling to the city of Bangkok and the outside the
City . I myself been away from
Bangkok more than fifty years now probably don't recognize the city anymore .
Thank you for sharing excellent videos with me.
