Hi Alan if I want to make a silver drape hv I to make the drapes n then paint it with silver dust with brush or mix evaporex with silver dust n paint on the drapes.which u suggest is the right way.

I think they slide down the side of the cake from the weight. There is also no way to adhere the fondant to a whipped cream icing.

That should work but be sure to cover the remainder of the cake parts with paper to prevent overspray from coloring the remainder of the cake silver.

Yes, they can be used on buttercream but don't make them too heavy or they will pull off the icing.
