    Five months ago I started working in a bakery and the love of cakes and decorating them woke up inside of me, I used to bake for my girls when they were growing up so I’ve had an interest all along I just didn’t discover my love for it till now. I’ve started watching Mr Allen and love, love all his videos and the way he teaches, I haven’t put it into practice yet because I don’t have any of the tools or the things that I need to start practicing but I’m very visual and I know I’m learning. Thank you Mr. Allen for everything that you teach us...

    Chef Alan is THE BEST! I prefer watching this type of video than any silly drama filled "cake star" competition ANY DAY OF THE WEEK! As far as I'm concerned, Chef Alan blows away the "celebrity " cakers.....Chef Alan is the real "Rock star" of the cake world :)

      I think they slide down the side of the cake from the weight. There is also no way to adhere the fondant to a whipped cream icing.

    Hi Alan if I want to make a silver drape hv I to make the drapes n then paint it with silver dust with brush or mix evaporex with silver dust n paint on the drapes.which u suggest is the right way.

      That should work but be sure to cover the remainder of the cake parts with paper to prevent overspray from coloring the remainder of the cake silver.

    how do you the store the cake for a big project like that not to spoil the cake while decocating.how many days do you finished to decorate a cake just like your model wedding cake?

      Yes, they can be used on buttercream but don't make them too heavy or they will pull off the icing.

      That is a carved tier of cake that I covered with fondant and sprayed with gold highlighter.

      The cake is covered in Fondant. The weight of drapes would pull down a buttercream iced cake.

    "Jabot" is a French word, and it originally referred to a knot in an asco that let the ends drape artistically. It's pronounce zhah-BOE. (The French are too sophisticated to pronounce all their consonants.)
