fantastic album. the first half feels like it pays tribute to early norwegian black metal (immortal comes to mind), with a thrashy element added. the second half is more melodic and atmospheric: i'm feeling some similarity with finnish bands like havukruunu or paara, or maybe horn from germany

Its a mystery to me how so many BM guys are drawn to play every instrument themself. Learning this takes ages,the equip takes a lot of room and is expensive just to make a musical statement maybe 5-25k will listen to or pay for

If you are into Inquisition but don’t want the perverse child stuff coming with it, check out Heidnir. Good stuff, definitely deserves a vinyl release if you look at some of the crap that is released by labels on vinyl.
