Apart from them, some other famous desserts of Pakistan are Ras Malai, Falooda, Kheer, Shahi Tukray, Lab e Shireen, Gajrayla, Sohan Halwa, Daal ka Halwa, Suji ka Halwa, Punjabi style Meethi Chuuri, Sawaian/Sewian, Shakarbura/Gheebura, Matanjan. And famous sweets/confectionaries are Barfi, Laddu, Pateesa, Rasgula, Chamcham, Khasta, Naan Khatai Biscuits...

In our region, Khushab/Sargodha, we have a famous dessert DHODHA which is made from Milk, Desi Ghee and interestingly Wheat! Is so yummy 😋 That granular yet melting texture of Dhoda is out of this world.

So zerda is necessarily not a dessert if I'm being honest it's more of a complimentary dish which is eaten with other forms of dishes as well especially pulao but yeah ig people eat it as a dessert too

Zarda is made a bit fancy by adding some dry fruits and khoya and while eating add some fresh cream... plus sometimes there can also be tiny gulab jamuns and chum chums in it
