- This is WAY less of a messy fight than on Route A. Route A was great and all but his low poise and HP made the fight just so chaotic and just mash to win. Here you actually have to dodge and stuff which made it more enjoyable. On to route C (and Emil is alive! I thought the Automata Emil was a clone or something perhaps, but nope it's the real deal!)

The fact that he can’t show any emotion in his face while he cries out to Yonah breaks me
I finished route A in normal mode and was disappointed at how fast Grimoire Noir and Shadowlord got killed, seeing them so resilient in this video makes me want to play B in hard mode.Thanks for the motivation, good vid !
Route B is quite tough on hard mode! It's definitely worth the experience, at least for the bosses. The enemies can be a bit grindy, but bosses are a blast on hard.

@@popbn1295 Yup you can. What I meant was that maybe they should only flip to hard mode for the bosses, then flip back to normal for enemies, but maybe that wasn't clear.
Shadowlord is the best boss
You know whats also very sad besides the fate of the original 2049 nier is that emil already does not remember replicant nier at the end and only mentions "if you leave them alone" only mentioning kaine and weiss. But i have to say Original nier does not deserve that fate at all.
I also thought about it. But we should not forget that Emil couldn't see until his transformation. He couldn't simply remember the human Nier as 1400 years passed.

You know I find it a bit weird that Shade Yonah died by the sun even when she got her body does that mean even if the shadowlord won he still wouldn’t be able to go out into the light
Yeah that's a bit odd. I think she either LEFT Replicant Yonah's body willingly after opening the curtains, thereby dissolving in the light as we see, or maybe her Black Scrawl/relapse had progressed too far and not even a host body could protect her anymore? I'm honestly not sure.
@@Wikloe I’m pretty sure for the fusion to be permanent Weiss and Noir would have to merge!
@@UpwardNinja Now that you mention it I believe you're right. There was that whole part during the younger Nier arc in part A where Noir wanted to fuse and I think that was kind of an essential step for Gestalt's to get their bodies back.
@@Wikloe Let's not forget that the project was doomed to fail so inserting Gestalts into Replicant bodies is probably a difficult process. Nier wasn't a scientist by no means so he did it any way he could (which was probably a bit butchered)
@@UpwardNinja yeah the game makes it clear. noir and weiss have to merge for it to actually work.

It really is. There's nothing else like it, and I genuinely felt different after playing it.

Im wondering, how can i start Route C after beating Route B
Route C/D all come down to a choice made after beating the final boss AND you've collected all the weapons.
The problem with hard mode is that it’s not even harder but they take so long to kill it get so tedious, i switched the difficulty and spent like a full minute killing a single shade and was like « ok nope back to normal »
Yeah that's fair. It's kinda hard to make... a hard mode for an action game without just inflating the HP and damage of the enemies. It'd be NICE if they added in more moves or newer AI, especially to the bosses, but that's just not the case, and I can't blame them for not doing that, it's a lot of work. As someone who enjoyed the combat in this game though, I never really felt like the fights took that long until some of the side quest fights, but I didn't mind those.
That's not nier replicant, that's remake!

Doesn't quite roll off the tongue as well. Yes this is the remake, however this remake is also called NieR Replicant at the end of the day lol.
