I think the original rock chain sparkles a bit more because the paddles seem to better reflect light off of each other, but I definitely prefer this one for the sleeker look and added durability. I'd love to rock this by itself as a daily-wear at 22 inches, I think that would look gorgeous!

I own an old Milor version of this chain. Mine has elasticity to it, and I can twist it clockwise until it looks similar to a spiral diamond cut rope chain. I always wondered if the same can be done with the Luke Zion round rock chains. 🤔
They are both fire but I think the Original shines a little more because of the surface area and jagged cuts that catch more light. I really like this new design because it has good shine but not to "in your face" with that shine.

Gona have to grab a 3mm in 24 to go with my silver 2 mm rope in 22 with my Patron Saint pendant. Love that it’s silver but shines almost like a diamond. Beautiful stuff man!

I think the og rock chain has a little more shine to it, but I like the look of the round rock chain. Biggest issue with the og rock chain is cleaning it. The paddles make it very difficult to clean. Round rock chain shines better then the original. I think it is because the round chain and the cuts play off each other more symmetrically reflect and refract light from the other stacked paddles more then the abstract reflection and refraction in the original rock chain paddle arrangement.

I've been hesitant about getting the same chain for my wife and youngest son 6yr old. Love your videos I’ve been a fan of you for awhile. My first ever chain purchase was from you! It was a 5mm 24 inch Miami Cuban link chain maybe 2-3 years ago! In my opinion, I think the round rock chain shines the best with the unique round diamond cuts! I love the look of both but personally I’d go with the round rock chain.

From the videos I’ve seen I think the original rock chain shines the most between the two because the more rugged texture makes the silver dance like a tennis bracelet/necklace. (John C Missouri)

I may be biased but I love the original rock chain, I'm not sure if it's because I own it but I love the OG. I think there's less shine with a smoother chain or a rounded chain, like franco's or cubans in comparison to rock/rope/margarita chains. The unpredictable cuts of the OG give it that "dancing" look in the light. I will say though.. this one is great as well, you can't go wrong with either!

What’s this best way to clean this?
Place the chain onto a sheet of aluminum foil, cover it in baking soda, and fold the foil tightly over top of the chain. Snip the corners of the foil to allow water inside. Boil a small pot of water with 2 tablespoons of salt. Once brought to a rolling boil, drop the foil wrapped chain into the pot. After 30 seconds turn the heat off. Let that baby fizz and bubble for no longer than 5 minutes. Remove it with tongs and wash the chain off. If that doesn’t do the trick just keep repeating this process until the chain is totally clean. Getting it completely dry can be tricky. Use a towel and blow dry if you can’t let it sun dry. After the chain is dry I like to polish and buff with a cloth even though it looks fine without doing that.

I think they both should shine the same but round rock sound like it would be more comfy than original,shiniest cut and getting one soon.

I have the OG rock chain in 4.4mm and i assume the paddles reflect more light due to the larger angular surfaces to reflect, but the rounded chain looks super clean. I cant fit pendants on the OG 4.4mm and tbh it works better as a standalone piece, 3mm in this would be perfect for a high shine pendant. If anyone is considering a rock chain i recommend it from luke zion, i have never seen a silver piece shine anything like this before its crazy how beautiful it is in hand. Since I own two Luke Zion original rock chains, I know the original rock chains shines better than the new round rock chain. The cuts of the OG rock chain will cause light to hit in different angles causing more shinier bling appearance. However, I would love to own the new round rock chain. :) Good stuff again Luke Zion!

I would say the original rock chain as I have the 3mm and the way the links are gives more of different shine tbh I wear the original with a pretty decent size pendant and haven’t ran into a issue in regards to durability
