The best lobby experience I ever had was joining a 1445 lobby as Aragon, when other players had Castile, Portugal and Naples. I offered them peaceful coexistence, but Naples wanted their land or smth silly like that. They called in the Poland player as well for good measure and went to war 4 against just me, and somehow I managed to win. Castile negotiated for a separate peace, then trucebroke me later, during the same war. It lasted so long, Portugal eventually decided he doesnt want to do this anymore and went to colonise. Naples was in shambles. Poland was just kind of surprised he got stackwiped in the mountains of Pyrenees. Eventually they all said "uhh yeah I dont wanna play eu4 anymore" and went on to create another lobby without me instead, poorly attempting to hide it (literally saw it through steam lmao). Ruined several friendships, but it was WORTH IT FOR THAT SWEET SWEET W
Some claim Uno destroys friendships, others claim it to be Monopoly. In truth, any game that can involve more than one player can do that. The only difference is that in some games it is funnier rhan in others.
In one of the first multiplayer games I joined in Dragoon's discord, my opponent alt+f4ed to try to avoid fighting me. He then proceeded to send me 100+ discord messages and called me 3 times to try and convince me not to attack. Victory is truly the most euphoric feeling in the world.
Getting banned from the lobby is the ultimate W You're in their head, they know they will only eat Ls and they cuck out. Always commit, until you get banned.
Had an absolutely brutal league war, where I had the superior troops but my opponent had infinite Italian money and just ground me down, I "could" have accepted the Peace of Westphalia, but I decided to retreat to Iceland and defend it with my last few mercs... lost the war 11/10 worth it.
Moral of this story? it's better to lose then draw~ when you lose, at least someone else wins, when you draw, nobody wins. at least someone wins that way~

ah this reminds me of my glorious victory against ai ottomans as the mamluks. it was a solo war and i underestimated how strong ottomans are against mamluks. several stack wipes, 38 corruption, several depleted mercenary stacks, impressive amounts of devastation, and 20 years later I 100'd them. It took 50 years to finally get rid of that corruption but after eventually forming Rum, i snowballed because Rum is OP against ai. Also to be clear this was a casual multiplayer lobby with friends, otherwise i wouldve restarted. Worst part is that i ended up as the strongest nation in the game after that unbelievably horrific start
If you get banned from a lobby it means you won that lobby, you are TOO GOOD to play in that lobby, just move onto another lobby and keep the W's coming
I know this was mainly MP focused, but in my Ardabil -> Eranshahr game for this is Persia, I had so much fun fighting the Ottomans with over double my force limit being Mercs and losing 25-40 Ducats a month. My Economy for the next like 80 years was entirely dependent on getting 25 warscore of loans from the Ottomans to even have a chance to pay a fifth of my debt even though they'd give me like 8k. Legitimately the most fun I've ever had playing eu4.
I like singleplayer tall playthroughs, and it genuinely hurts seeing all those MP early-game death wars man... 😢 Guess I just don't have that MP grindset

You forgot the ultimate lesson, always be greedy, never settle for a small deal, every W might be a W, but big Ws are massive Ws. Always dick over your friends and enemies, try to PU all the nations you possibly can, does your friend border a small nation they might wanna go to war with, fuck them over, after-all they are on friendly, they would accept vassalization. Maybe you just got out of a deathwar that lasted a decade longer than it should, well eat up that guys neighbors nomatter the cost, make him want to trucebreak you. Be the antagonist in every playthrough, manpower? Economy? Self-respect? Those are worth nothing. Why end a 5 year long stalemate just for a few ducats, when in 12 years time you could be having them full-sieged. Thank god for the otto bros! After a while, you became strong enough to tackle mamluks on your own. Since ottos are busy in the north with some austrians (and CO), you decide its up to you to partition the mamluks - you declare, and after a bit of a scuffle you manage to yank mecca and medina out of their hands, while pushing them out of sudan. Happy with your accomplishment, you start coring the stuff you took, while looking for a inquisitor to help you convert the heretics in mecca. But you notice... something is off... Ottos, all of a sudden, have become hostile towards you and have broken the alliance youve held with them for some 80 years. You aint daft - you know whats up. Time to buff up! You quickly toggle between various nations to find someone to back you up in this dire hour of need. You find some schmucks in iran willing to ally you, and even some indians would love to ally you - you take them up on their offer, watching for developments. By now you really are mighty - some two dozen heavies patrol your coast, and your army has grown to some 150k. You feel confident... so confident, in fact, that youre looking to expand, putting the looming threat of ott... and then it happened! Ottos declare, your allies dump you instantly, and youre left alone against ottos! 430k ottos! Oooooh shit! Your first few battles go great: you camp near the chokepoints with forts on them between the desert and the sea, and push the first few otto stacks back... but then another otto stack takes down one of your forts and they start pouring in - with nothing to keep them at bay, you throw your stacks into the mix, only to realize that your regulars are crap! Welp, if you have more money than brain (thank god for your expansion south, right?) you turn to the ever loyal and willing - the few, the proud, the mercenaries! You muster some 3 stacks of mercs, gift each of them with a dozen cannons, and send them in the general direction of the otto stacks. By now, you dismiss the exhausted regulars, who refuse to reinforce anyway. Your goal is simple - do NOT let the ottos take mecca. For a second you consider capitulating, but after pressing a few buttons, the ottos appear to want ALL OF YOUR COASTLINE, not just mecca! You think: "that wont do", and start scorching every fort province you (still) have. You wont take me alive, coppers! After some 8 or 10 years of war, with ottos completely spent both manpower and finance wise, they beg you for peace... but youre just getting started! Your mercs might be a little tired, but by now your manpower pool has recovered enough to continue the fight - you hire some two stacks of regulars, your innovative ideas keep your W/E low, your port in zanzibar is bringing you so much dosh you dont know what to do with it, and youre just thinking what to do next. You finish up your merc ideas, giving them a boost, so you decide to go a wee bit over the limit... three more stacks of fully replenished mercs will do! Your budget protests with red numbers, but its just numbers! You have a war to win! Or, at least, to fend the ottos back... You finally did it! 60% warscore! Time to... take a few bucks from ottos, have them revoke some claims and break some alliances... and stay out! You will be ready the next time they decide to knock on your door... hopefully.
