Ella Shields I think they are 2 different things because pickles are pickled cucumbers and gherkins are not (in the uk) however in the USA they are the same thing (just depends on where you come from!)
I can relate to the sock thing. Mangos do have kind of a musky taste. But they also have the mild sweet fruity flavour. It’s very much what you focus on. An her tastebuds probably just focuses all their attention on that.
