I met you in person at a concert in Michigan. You came down from the stage to let your band play.
You struck up a conversation with me, and we're so sweet. I couldn't afford tickets, my son bought them as an anniversary gift.
It was the best gift a mom could have asked for, turned out to be a dream come true. A conversation with my favorite musician.
My son was supposed to die that year, and that was his " going home" gift to me.
Miraculously, he lived and is now a Nursing professor at U of M! The very hospital that saved his life.
You are about the same age as my son,....you look a lot alike too!

I've been listening to Josh Groban's music for years and years. My Mother started it when I went to see her and Dad and she had 2 of one of his CD's and gave it to me. Up until she died in 2020 when a new CD came out, if I could afford it, I bought both of his CDs. Oh yes when she died she was 102 years old! His music is loved by young and old!

My momma gave me my deep love for music. She also introduced me to Gosh. On her last day on this earth, we put her IPod buds in her ears. We selected Gosh..... he was the sound in her ears as she crossed over. For some reason, her passing is always made easier for me because of this. ❤

So the song was written by Lara Fabian and Walter Afanasieff for Fabian's self-titled album released in 1999 and Josh recorded it on his 2002 album Closer. There's no "record" of who Josh may have been dating at that time or earlier, as the earliest dating news was when Josh began dating January Jones in 2003. So who knows if he just loved the song or meant it to "be" for someone as well!
@@PamPerry79 Closer was released in November 2003 and he started dating JJ in September or October that year. I don't know in what month they've recorded it but he was invited to sing a version of "For Always" (from the movie A.I.) with Lara and they sang this song together in Boston Pops in 2002 (in March, I think), being John Williams the conductor. I don't know for how long Josh had been single before JJ, but he had someone in the beginning of his career because in an interview (just a few months after "Josh Groban" (2001) was released) when he was asked if he had a celebrity crush he said: "Natalie Portman, she's pretty. My girlfriend will kill me!" I know he had a gf when he studied in Interlochen (she was his first gf, he was 15) and he had another one when he was finishing highschool and at least when he went to Carnegie Mellon he was with her. Probably that was the gf Josh said she would kill him for finding Natalie Portman cute! In an interview when All That Echoes (2013) was just released he was asked to name his celeb crush and he said, with that lovely and goofy smile of his: "Natalie Portman" (and he sayhed). I don't know if he had someone between that girl and JJ. I'm not a crazy stalker, 😂, I just happen to know by heart things about him and I don't make an effort know it; I just read and listen things and I remember! Oh, I forgot: In Boston Pops he sang "Gira Con Me Questa Notte" and "Vincent". It was lovely!

What a beautiful medley! Vocals were perfect, as always, but the accompiniment was outstanding! As a player myself, I particularly enjoyed the long piano prelude to, "I Can't Make You Love Me". I was alone while listening yet found myself smiling. Your voice and the instruments are always perfectly matched! Bravo!!
