I appreciated seeing where screws are located, and experiencing your adventure. It will help to smooth the bumps in anyone else machine repair. May I suggest additional light in future productions...... Enjoy your day!
Vey helpful, thank you! I was tryin to get my mom's machine open just to look at the state inside. The thing just wouldnt come apart even after taking off the screws. When you did this, i knew i did not have to take anything else off before pulling thw two halves apart!
If mine wasn't working so well I would try to open it again to give a better explanation. If I remember correctly, make sure all the screw are out and grab the section on opposite sides with both hands while pulling the edges outward and try to separate the lip that latches in the center with a flat screwdriver.
@@Lookatthebottom Wow, speedy reply. I edited my comment. I got it open but will have to sand down the plastic where I made a bit of a mess of it so it doesn't snag anything. There was another plastic latch in the curve but that one wasn't quite as stubborn.
To keep track of screws and other small parts removed, I suggest keeping them in one of housing that were removed.. Either the light cover or the cover over the bobbin. Thank you for the video.
Thank you so much. I have my sisters machine to repair and I found your video. It was real helpful, though Im not sure this is the same problem. I cannot turn the wheel as it will only go down so far. You mentioned cogs and stuff, I thought it may have been a problem with the belt. Your video was a slight dark for me to see clearly. I will certainly try the method that you have shown,. Do you have any more thoughts on what may be the problem.? Thank you.
I had a similar situation where the needle wouldn't go all the way down. There is a weighed mount for the needle I had to unscrew it and adjust the height manually. I may be able to assist more when you get to that point with the cover off.
hi my sewing machine stopped moving and if feels like it just doesnt work like there is no power at all and idk of i should replace the drive belt coz i havent rlly opened the sewing machine up yet
Hi, any chance you might be able to do a tutorial on how to remove a needle bar assy or needle bar in general? Your the only one who just happens to have the same machine as me and I’m having trouble removing it
What I recall is that if you loosen the screw mounting the needle bar, it moves freely. You have to find the right level to allow the needle to catch the thread from the bobbin. It's a bit of trial and error, but there is a UA-cam video or Google diagram that shows the general position. Hook timing.
I just started using it, but the foot controller is a bit touchy, I just adjust my foot position and never fully engage the pedal. My daughter was able to sew much more smoothly than I.
@glennlopez6773. Mine got loud humming sound, reluctant to start sewing , what could be the problem, all I think about it is I never clean it, never oil it, is it too now, cause after I bought the sewing oil, it still not improving at all!
Did it just suddenly occur while sewing, or after retreading? Maybe check the bobbin and thread path. Are there any other issues with your machine right now?
What’s the size of the screwdriver you used? My sewing machine didn’t come with a screwdriver. Also, my sewing light gets really hot. Would you know how to fix this problem?
You will need a small phillips screwdriver. I didn't remove my light while making this repair like I should have, and I broke it in the process. Now I use an external light, I haven't missed it much, so I would remove it and leave it out if it's causing problems with the heat.
You can replace the incandescent bulb with an LED lamp - it will put out much less heat and more light. Put these keywords into the search bar of the retailer you want to use "led+sewing+machine+light+to+replace+incandescent+bulb+e12+base" make sure to pick one that is at least a 15 watt equivalent
Sir, can I ask for assistances. I’ve left my sewing machine for number of years and trying to use it today and the rod that holds the needle is stuck. The threading for bobbin works well just the sewing needle is unable to move. By pedal or manual ..... can I know how this can be fixed? Many thanks 🙏
Hi I can’t seem to figure out why my thread keeps coming out the needle once I start a stitch. Pressor foot is down, about 5 inches of thread and bobbin thread hanging, I tried putting the needle down in the fabric to start and still nothing. Please help 😩😩😩
@@reynartegamboa2211 make sure the power cable is pressed all the way in and check the foot pedal if it clicks when pressed. If it doesn’t work you may want to replace to avoid an electrical hazard
Be sure that all the screws are removed, it takes some finagling to release the interior latch, you have to pull and apply pressure, it almost felt like something was going to snap, then it just came apart. If my machine wasn't working so well and I wasn't busy, I would take it apart again to demonstrate, but if you work at it you will get it.
You have to adjust the needle bar up or down to catch the thread. There is a screw that should be loosened then you can adjust the bar up or down. The needle has to enter the bobbin case in sync. There is a video or diagram that I recall.
do you know how i could fix the little button that you also had broken? i thought mine was okay but as i was taking it apart and cleaning everything i noticed the knob kind of just sits in place and spins freely because it was broken before hand (i found it at a goodwill)

That little plastic thing is a real B. Spent half an hour trying to undo it.

Thank you so much!! I couldn't figure out how to take the front cover off.

hi, i removed the screws following your video but i can't detach the body like you did! could you tell me what the problem is?
There is an internal plastic latch, it takes some serious squeezing a pulling to release it.
@@Lookatthebottom Thank you so much for your help, where are you at?

Thanks but are you satisfied with the foot controller hesitating. Mine goes into high speed!

My machine made a huge snapping noise and I'm struggling with the cover lol. Thanks!
Hello..My machine is no moving..The needle don't move.. up or down.. It's stock. Trying to move it down..Nothing. Stop sewing..or running..
Same here, also hard to start machine to sew either use foot controller or hand wheel, the humming sound loud, what’s the problem? Please!
The small screw goes on the front, to the right of the door. All the other screws are the same.
thank you
Sir, my machine's feed dog is not able to move the fabric. How to fix it. Brother LS 2125

Same here. It moves back and forth but not up and down.
I just finished adjusting the bobbins track. To catch thread.
Great job

It sounds like you have the same issue that I had originally. The video should help you repair it yourself.
High West Enterprises thank you 😊
I dont know how to repair this sewing machine . Pls help me
Excellent, thank you!
How do I do the adjustment now that the machine is apart??
There is more than one possible adjustment. It depends on the specific issue.
Well, the teeth line up with the gear on that bar.. my bobbin holder doesn't turn far enough for the hook to catch. I wish I could share photos.
I have even tried making the adjustment on the needle arm. Nothing is working. :(
can you please help me to reinstall the brother tension knob plz
Did the shaft of the knob break? or did the knob loosen from the shaft?

Try pulling out twice as much, its normal for that small length to pull through.
Thanks I’ll try that out

The motor is probably the most durable part of this machine. If is making any type of sound it's more likely jammed, or the plastic gears have failed.

Great video...except where you skipped on how to adjust the bobbin to be able to work properly. THAT is the part I NEEDED to see😔
What exactly is your bobbin doing that needs adjusting?

that small knob to adjust the thread tension if you have the broken piece, I’ve had luck mending broken plastic with the super glue baking soda hack
