  • This is a new river I have found. It is full of really big hungry trout. I am stalking these guys as I walk up the river on a beautiful day. These are all taking Cicada patterns. Check it out.

Yes it was. There were about three of them in this spot, I got the biggest of them though so very happy at that outcome. Thanks for watching.

I lost one of similar size twice this season, when it gets close and does that screaming run it went straight behind the boulder it snapper me off on last time. Very deep pool so can't chase it 😓

Yes they aren't totally dumb. I bet you were guttered? I don't mind losing trout but I still get upset when I lose a good trout, especially after playing it for a while. Cheers for watching mate tight lines.

well i've had some great trout this season, i lost a 4/5lber when my rod snapped which was dreadful but wychwood replaced it for free, and had a 5lb+ on nymph that was fighting well till it went over the shallow bedrock exposed from the floods and it freaked out shot downstream and pulled off the hook in the white water =[

A 5 pound fish will certainly pull hard. Losing fish is all part of the game huh mate.
