Great reaction and this was their first music video and when it went viral on Facebook it saved the band from being disbanded back in 2015.

This song and video is what saved Band-Maid from being cancelled. Their label had decided if this song didn't take off, the band would be broken up with Miku and Saiki being retained to make up a new duo called Dance Maid. But thankfully once this video got over a million views in just a few days the decision was made to let their journey continue as is. They just celebrated their tenth year and still going strong! The next step was "Alone", which was the first song written and arranged by Band-Maid allowed onto a record. The MISA bass solo was what really set the hook for me for Band-Maid!

I suppose just about any song can be somehow squeezed or force fitted into an amine or even a movie soundtrack. Some songs will fit naturally, but most will be jarringly out of place. In the Netflix movie 'Kate", Band-Maid had a cameo and their song "Choose Me' was a perfect fit for the nightclub scene set in Japan. Anime companies will contract beforehand with an artist or group who will develop the music to fit the themes of the anime, but the producers always have the final word if the song makes it or not into the anime. Band-Maid was chosen to develop songs for several anime productions which is quite an honor in the Japanese music world. Anime producers prefer fresh new songs in their productions which are tied to their major plot lines or themes, rather than older, already released songs which would be too difficult to fit into the anime project being developed. Po.

I really hate it when reactors automatically say the music sounds like it's from an anime. Just because the songs are in Japanese doesn't make them sound like they're from an anime. Or is that your only basis, that it's being sung in Japanese?

Reactors who are so ignorantly dismissive with what they hear just aren't even worth my time. Killer band, tho.

You don't strum a bass. Strumming is a rhythm guitar technique involving playing all the strings in a single motion. But you're right about one thing. I will tell you when you don't know what you're talking about. You can play it with a pick or slap. She does both. You can pluck it or thump it, but you don't strum it
