    I had a string of probably 30 lights visible 4-5 at a time going overhead this past year when I was hiking in late at night. I'm guessing it was just the spot where the sun was reflecting off them. Still was weird though.

    • @outdoor2thecore214
      @outdoor2thecore214  Рік тому

      They don't have to be broadside with a rifle, the frontal shots almost always puts them down way quicker than a broadside, thus much more ethical. I've never believed the broadside lie 😊

    Good effort and nice video guys. That is just terrible shooting though. How about waiting for the bear to stand broadside? How about staking in closer? The ass shots are just plain bad. You guys need to rethink your tactics.

      A bear usually bites deer and elk in the butt when chasing them down to kill them. I personally will shoot at the butt (if that's all I see) of any predator.

      My wife and I are avid spot and stock bear hunters here in Washington, and all those missed shots especially on moving targets made us sick, very poor sportsmanship. And if a hunter misses a game animal by a couple feet, why the he'll did they even attempt a second shot?

    Wow what a hunt to be on. Highs and lows, but going out with full packs and gleeful hearts! You men pushed it to the limits physically for this hunt. Take it from someone who used to be a hardcore outdoorsman and is now medically disabled. Its great that you can do what you did, but don't do it all the time like i did. It tears your body up something fierce, and the reprocussions of it later will be tallied up. You won't feel it when your young, but boy howdy do you feel it later on. Let your body heal up, and listen to it, or it will make you listen to it. Having grit and endurance is a rare thing, but having the wisdom of when to use it is even more priceless. Ok now onto the 30-06 debate. Why do you not like it,,, and what is your preffential caliber to hunt with? Now onto the aliens. Those were satellites beaming your local weather down to you, no worries till they launch missles at you.All in all great video, take care, amd be safe out there.

      Thanks for watching! The first gun I ever shot was an old Springfield 30-06 with a Mauser action and a steel butt plate, I believe I was about 85 lb at the time and that thing kicked like a mule! I'd probably like them if it would have had a cushioned butt pad haha

    • @Longtrailside

      @@davecarr4070 Ya the first one i ever shot was a old savage 300wm, iron sights, metal buttpad. I fell in love,,, then again i weighed 145 pounds so the kick wasnt as bad for me than you shooting the 30-06. So what rifle do you preffer to humt with now?

      @@Longtrailside I like .243 cause I've seen the damage it does on many a critter, but anything that is high velocity kills very fast. Matt had hand loaded 150 grain bullet going 3100 fps out of that 30.06! That makes plenty of shock.

    • @Longtrailside
      @Longtrailside 2 роки тому

      @@davecarr4070 Ya thats cooking for a 30-06! I do like the 243 though. Its a nice caliber for med size game, not to much meat damage and light on recoil. Curious have you taken any game with it using barnes ttsx bullets?
