Oh WOW! I need to take a blood pressure pill this got so excited. That 80’s analog tone is out of this world! Have to agree with some of the comments, would luv to have this in a format for playing live.
Dear TC Electronic. PLEASE, please make this as a guitar pedal That would get snatched up by the many, many Edge and U2 fans. Korg did this with the SDD, in fact those have gone up in value since they’ve come out.
Pardon my Frenchglish but F YES. Instant U2 Machine. In fact, the only delay I use in the AxeFXII is the 2290. It's one of the few reasons I kept my AxeFXII even though I use the Kemper more.
you prolly dont care but does anybody know a trick to get back into an instagram account? I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any tips you can offer me
@Mathias Travis thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out atm. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
Oh yes! This could so easily be the future of plugins! You have the power of plugin with the beauty of turning knobs and pressing buttons! Plus this delay sounds awesome! Great job!
hey guys .. I really love this .. sounds gr8 .. I hope Santa knows what a good boy I am .. lol .. hey why not get Mary Spender to do a demo .. this kind of effect suits her style & I saw she already did a tone print at Guitcom with Tore .
I bought this in 2019 and loved using it so much it became part of my studio set up But it has packed in I have tried you’re support team to find how I can get it repaired but have had no luck with the contacts they gave me as the PCB has burned out so there is no USB If I new it was going to be impossible to get it repaired when the warranty had expired I would not have bought it
This could be a monster if the lenght of the delays are only limited by the host memory. If this one have delay lengths in the order of minutes I would buy it without hesitation.
It looks good, but I'll be honest, I was expecting a pedal with a similar UI (just like Korg released the SDD-3000 Pedal couple years ago, or like Free The Tone, etc...). It could be perfectly possible and would be a nice kind of pedal to have instead of the Strymon and such... I'm just sayin'
I think they missed the opportunity to make a pedal that could be use as a standalone AND be used as a VST plugin controller... it would have been even better. You have it on your pedalboard, you play live... or you record "dry" and use the plugin and can adjust it at any time. And if you want to tweak, you can do it directly from your pedalboard. Or you can have the pedal on your desk (like we would do with a Strymon or H9, etc...). Too bad... :(
Hello. If I buy a Tc Electronic TC2290-DT hardware controller, then do I also need to buy a plugin for it, or can it be downloaded for free from the official website?
Ah, I had the impression that it's an actual DSP unit capable to flawlessly integrate with the DAW. So... it's basically a plugin (iLok'ed probably) with a usb midi controller. Still seems cool (minus the iLok part :P ) but to be honest, I find it overpriced! If it was DSP based, than I would have considered it for the price..
Take the boxes and make guitar pedals out of it and make a plug-in which is not hw controlled (for a lower price) and you will actually sell that stuff...
Yes, fair enough. I think if they've done all this work they may as well host the plugin code on an atom or ARM board and make a stand alone pedal and rack version too.. that'd be more appealing to me than a plugin controller since I mostly work outside the box.
Just reinstalled it on MacOs Ventura 13 and Logic 10, and it's working perfectly! Tip: Create a new empty Logic project Add an "instrument track" (loads an electric piano sound by default) Add a TC Stereo Chorus Flanger plugin on the instrument channel itself, leave it as is (default settings) Add a TC2290 plugin on the instrument channel itself (not on a send bus), set it to the "Keys/Long & Sweet" preset Play some major chords You will experience a sudden state of bliss and happiness, it is completely normal All the best 🙂
I don't want the hardware controller. No space for this on my desk and especially no free USB port. So how long until you have milked the market enough and let the plug-in free?
Simply connect the USB cable, open the plugin and enjoy your new extra mouse. Funny isn't it? Just sell me the plugin I already have a Kensington mouse that does all the job.
A lot of music gear companies haven't done a great job of keeping records of schematics and components and such. The original 2290 was an expensive piece of gear, and discontinued, so robe probably didn't expect to need the files, or just lost them somewhere. Between moving offices and transferring files to digital, I'm sure a lot of information has probably been lost somewhere for a lot of gear that we would consider priceless.
I cannot understand why would you ever need a hardware controller for something that really needs no hands on control to begin with... 2290 is a "set and forget" type of gear , why would anyone need buttons for it ? it looks great, but I thin it's kind of pointless. a LARC type of controller makes sense, this one ? not really.
I love this series of products, I own the BRICKWALL, MASTER X and PEQ3000. My question is, can I use two separate PEQ3000 external controllers on the same computer? Thanks
Oh WOW! I need to take a blood pressure pill this got so excited. That 80’s analog tone is out of this world! Have to agree with some of the comments, would luv to have this in a format for playing live.
Genius!!! I hope we start to see more units like this that can be hooked up to a DAW in this manner and take care of the processing!
Wow! So excited to see the legendary 2290 is coming back, and in such a great compact form as well being very versatile for all users! Great move tc!
Thank you, my friend :-)
It's crazy how good it sounds!!!
Definitely a piece of gear you dream about
Must. Buy. Love TC gear!
Looks and sounds fantastic!
Oh! And a REAPER sighting behind Asger at 1:55 ;)
Finally.Thank you TC.Thank you so much.
Thank YOU, John 🙂
Dear TC Electronic. PLEASE, please make this as a guitar pedal

I like the companies who talk about price since the beginning. Nice work TC!
Love it!! I hope you'll do a reverb version soon since my 4000 is starting to show it's age
Omg. This thing is so awesome. We need the guitar pedal board version of this!
Brilliant! I would love a reissue of the rack unit :) but will be thrilled to own one of these.
Pardon my Frenchglish but F YES.
Instant U2 Machine.
In fact, the only delay I use in the AxeFXII is the 2290. It's one of the few reasons I kept my AxeFXII even though I use the Kemper more.
Ton "franglais" est plutôt anglais parfait Christian 😉 Merci pour les bonnes paroles 🙂
ive just ordered both the TC delay and the reverb!
Yessss!
This is a great clássic, i really like it
This is so cool!!!
When will we see the pedal version?
Check out TC Nova delay
you prolly dont care but does anybody know a trick to get back into an instagram account?
I stupidly forgot the account password. I love any tips you can offer me
@Nathaniel Matthias instablaster ;)
@Mathias Travis thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and im trying it out atm.
Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later with my results.
@Mathias Travis It did the trick and I actually got access to my account again. I'm so happy:D
Thanks so much you really help me out :D
Awesome.
Muito bom!
WOW, Great Product.. :)
this needs to be made in pedal format also
Plz do this as guitar pedal!
Oh yes! This could so easily be the future of plugins! You have the power of plugin with the beauty of turning knobs and pressing buttons! Plus this delay sounds awesome! Great job!
Thanks, mate 🙂
TC Electronic Hello Tc i'm your biggest fan...Please make this into a pedal format...I beg u....Take my Money!!!!😁😂😂😀
These people are genius. I have one this is priceless
Well, you could easily say the 2018 TEC award's a wrap, lol. Super intuitive and amazing sounding. Must have.
Kanban board was looking a little light on work todo, but overall good wip control..
😂😂😂
Excellent work as always..
when will we see the pedal version
We want a pedal version please!
Need a pedal version. We really do
this is beautiful, but how am i going to rackmount it!?
hey guys .. I really love this .. sounds gr8 .. I hope Santa knows what a good boy I am .. lol .. hey why not get Mary Spender to do a demo .. this kind of effect suits her style & I saw she already did a tone print at Guitcom with Tore .

If I new it was going to be impossible to get it repaired when the warranty had expired I would not have bought it
i'll take it
Rackmount version?
Why couldn’t it have been standalone???? I would love this delay but I have my limit of usb and other cords into my computer. Too bad
Just take my money!!
This could be a monster if the lenght of the delays are only limited by the host memory. If this one have delay lengths in the order of minutes I would buy it without hesitation.
I was really, really hoping that it would be a new rack-mount unit.
Kristian Larsen yep, me too! let's hope the next step will be exactly that... a standalone hardware 2290 mkII
Here TC, take my money
3:54, Tore makes an appearence.
With a slight delay, here be dry / wet examples! >> soundcloud.com/tcelectronic/sets/2290-factory-presets-guitar-wet-dry 😉
hello, is there some kind of way to use this thing live? I would like to use it with my amps and guitars
Yes attached to your computer/laptop in a live setting
Where do you plug the guitar in?
Into your audio interface 🙂
how could I use this in a live situation without a computer?
Marius slaap you can't. Isn't it great!
Sounds great but does anyone know what that little display is, to the right of his screen, that can be seen at 5:23
That's our Clarity M audio meter. 🙂

Hello. If I buy a Tc Electronic TC2290-DT hardware controller, then do I also need to buy a plugin for it, or can it be downloaded for free from the official website?
Secret Tore sighting at 3:55
I think this is only a controller for the vst plugin. .
very cool! ... so, how many instances of the plugin until the DSP runs out?
The processing happens within the plug-in so you can run as many instances as your CPU will allow 😌
Ah, I had the impression that it's an actual DSP unit capable to flawlessly integrate with the DAW. So... it's basically a plugin (iLok'ed probably) with a usb midi controller. Still seems cool (minus the iLok part :P ) but to be honest, I find it overpriced! If it was DSP based, than I would have considered it for the price..
device has no midi ports?
Take the boxes and make guitar pedals out of it and make a plug-in which is not hw controlled (for a lower price) and you will actually sell that stuff...
Maximum delay time? It's not at the web link. Thanks.
9999 ms!
TC Electronic thanks!
Make one 2290 pedal....for my pedalboard! Like the 2290 Flashback....with Modulations.
TC Delays are best delays.
Better than the UAD emulation?
Naturally 😉
Still no pedal?
2290 in a pedal...please!
Does the hardware do the processing or is it purely just controlling the parameters of the plugin?
It's just a controller. All the processing is done on your computer.
@@tcelectronic One question:
How hard is it on the CPU ?
DAW only, not a pedalboard version? Tis a shame.
Hi TCmen..and women....We need you in Eurorack modular world!!...Come to us and make little boxes please,i think ther's a great market for u..i think.
So it’s just daw? Can’t put it on my pedalboard?
Seems to be a plugin controller, not stand alone. Maybe look at Nova delay for that..
Wagoo I didn’t like the nova. Sounds nothing like the 2290. Hopefully they make a pedal.
Yes, fair enough. I think if they've done all this work they may as well host the plugin code on an atom or ARM board and make a stand alone pedal and rack version too.. that'd be more appealing to me than a plugin controller since I mostly work outside the box.
It's not going to work as a pedal, no. It's a hardware controller for the plugin. Enjoy!
Wagoo same here. I was excited but won’t work for me.
$349 with the hardware controller too?
oansun Yes. $349 for controller including plugin
it looks nice... it sounds nice... but on the road i don't need a hardware controller!!!
Is this abandoned/discontinued by TC? - AU fails plugin validation in Logic Pro :-(
Hi Lee. We are still very much focused on this product. We are currently working towards M1 compatibility on all of our plug ins. Is it an M1 Mac?
@@tcelectronic I’m glad it’s still alive, fails validation (and causes logic to hang on start) on both m1 and intel using v2 of the plugin.
Just reinstalled it on MacOs Ventura 13 and Logic 10, and it's working perfectly!
Tip:
Create a new empty Logic project
Add an "instrument track" (loads an electric piano sound by default)
Add a TC Stereo Chorus Flanger plugin on the instrument channel itself, leave it as is (default settings)
Add a TC2290 plugin on the instrument channel itself (not on a send bus), set it to the "Keys/Long & Sweet" preset
Play some major chords
You will experience a sudden state of bliss and happiness, it is completely normal
All the best 🙂
All this creativity and you can't use it on stage?
Cool. Hope the guys who can afford to pay 12K for one have fun with theirs...
You mean the orignal? This costs just $349 🙂
I don't want the hardware controller.
"we found out that it wasnt entirely digital" How the F did you not know that?
Asking the real question here. They don't have access to their own schematics?
A lot of music gear companies haven't done a great job of keeping records of schematics and components and such. The original 2290 was an expensive piece of gear, and discontinued, so robe probably didn't expect to need the files, or just lost them somewhere. Between moving offices and transferring files to digital, I'm sure a lot of information has probably been lost somewhere for a lot of gear that we would consider priceless.
It's possible no one working on the project had worked on the original team and none of them had investigated the unit in that way until this project.
That's really depressing if that's true.
yup, and imagine all the music that we will never hear due to corrupt project files, broken hard drives, etc
I cannot understand why would you ever need a hardware controller for something that really needs no hands on control to begin with... 2290 is a "set and forget" type of gear , why would anyone need buttons for it ? it looks great, but I thin it's kind of pointless. a LARC type of controller makes sense, this one ? not really.
Sabbo It simulates "touching."
I can touch my Mac's keyboard, great feel to it :)
Sabbo But... does it touch you back? ;D
Because software without hardware makes me vomit
I love this series of products, I own the BRICKWALL, MASTER X and PEQ3000. My question is, can I use two separate PEQ3000 external controllers on the same computer? Thanks
