Holy Shit I raced the same course at Fort Ord just this weekend. Just turned 16 and I'm already doing great racing against a lot of 18 year olds. Great tips bro!
Just found your channel and you seem local, pretty rad. I have problems with recommending to attack on the feedzone, thats a low blow (saying attack when people are distracting and have a hand off to their shoe/bottle/food/fork is one thing but saying attack when everyone is expected to feed is another). Anyways thanks for the vid
+Emile Goguely Hey welcome dude! Look at the pros! They all attack in the feedzone! It is when your competition is least expecting it. If you prepared right you should only need to grab a bottle in the feedzone and drink it later. The higher you get in racing, the more ways people find to grab seconds on you. As they say, nice guys finish last.
When you pass that rider that has been blocking the wind, probly a good idea to make sure you're in the right portion of the race & aren't gonna burn out pushing that wind after droppin him..otherwise he's probably gonna fly by ya when you do burn.
Ya man absolutely. Having to constantly look down to check it wasn’t muddy, always wiping it, and the fact that I had to crank down the straps definitely affected my breathing. But can’t complain since it started my channel.
Yea I race for norcal, nice vid, helped me to podium (5th) and i am 13 and i raced in a 16 mile race for 14-16 THANK YOU FOR THE PODIMUM helped me out a ton!
Dude! Congratulations! That just made my whole week man! It was all you out there on the trails, but I am so happy it helped. Let me know what you want to see and ill make a video about it.

Yo I race varsity in the Texas nica league. Nice videos !
Nice, thanks Chris!
I was confused with the "over the top of the climb" anywayzz great content
Over the top of the climb means there’s a really long climb, and close to the end of the climb you wanna attack
Thanks
Good day Sir. Do you use oval Chain Ring on races?
Did recording with your action cam affect any parts of the race for you?

Why American accent, but British flag?
Most of my family is British, but born and raised in US.
Ah I gotcha.
