    I’m a semi-new follower of yours and I’m so proud of you for this! Takes a big person to do it in private, but to admit this in the public eye takes a really incredible person! Keep on doing what is best for you! 💕I hope you get healthy and feel better!

    Thanks for sharing your story. I've been clean for 8 months after 12 years of smoking. I was addicted and was suffering through CHS for 7 months before I stopped.

    Weed has changed who I am and has taken a toll on my romantic relationship and to know that I’m not alone in needing to stop at least at this point in my life helps a lot 💗 those 12 MA questions were also crazy helpful. such a lightbulb in my mind ❤️

    Thank you for sharing this video ❤️ I used to smoke heavily and daily and it was all I could think about or do, it made my relationships strained and it bothered me but I didnt try to stop it. Eventually, out of the blue it started giving me extreme paranoia whenever I would smoke, I would think people were coming to hurt me or something bad was going to happen or that I wasnt in control of my body or mind. Super scary stuff, I had to stop. I feel so much more alert and alive once I got thru the withdrawals. Im thankful that i listened to my body and did right by myself, Im glad you did too

    I believe that you can have a dependency on anything that consumes your mind. Good on you for making healthy choices for you!

    i believe 100% that weed can become a problem. it’s a problem for myself at times. sometimes it literally consumes my thoughts for the day, or at least until i can smoke. at times i even get ashamed of how much and how far i tend to go when it comes to weed. but i still smoke because it truly does relieve my anxiety. tysm for making this video❤️ it really sheds a light on the negatives of weed, which people seem to ignore or pretend don’t exist.

    Really proud of you for being yourself, unapologetically. Its hard to go from stoner to sober. Especially if you’re really emerged in the cannabis culture and community. Keep being strong! ❤️

    How could you tell the difference between relying on it medically or being addicted to it? Did it not help medically anymore?

    • @Alliebbkay
      @Alliebbkay  5 років тому +1

      Lexi Karels it got to the point where it made me physically sick and I used it anyway. that’s how I knew I had a problem. if it’s used medically and you’re able to live life normally then that’s great! for me it just didn’t do that :(

    i've never heard someone get CHS from one year of smoking, usually it's persistent use for years then one can begin to slowly develop chs so hmmm

      there’s so little research on it but I have seen that too. i’m posting a video on it tomorrow, but basically everything else was ruled out and that was the only thing remaining 🤷🏻‍♀️ cannabis also used to only have a THC percentage of 4-6% and now its sometimes in the 30s. so that could play a role as well

    Hi honey!! I’ve got a question for you, (name twins lol!) i’m worries i’m developing CHS. I’ve had constant stomach pain for a few months now coupled with nausea and acid reflux. I have not been throwing up though, but I don’t know if I have it because I’m not throwing up. Have you been dealing with these things before you started getting actually sick? Thank you. I’m proud of you! Good for you!

    • @Alliebbkay
      @Alliebbkay  5 років тому

      allie eick usually throwing up does occur but it’s hard to say because there isn’t much research on it :/ personally I did get sick but everyone is different!

      One of the things that happens with CHS is that the symptoms subside with showers. If your nausea gets worse with smoking and your nausea subsides with showers, you might have CHS

    Also! I have read many articles about the affect that marijuana has on mood disorders. (And personality disorders) Tbh it's not that good for mood disorders. It's definitely something those of us who smoke and have mood disorders need to look into.

    I have a similar experience but it's actually super weird! Last year around this time. I was very addicted to flower. I felt like I couldnt live without it. I had to quit because I needed to tend to my mental health instead of. Like you said. Putting a bandaid on it.
    I tended to my mental health. And am doing much better now! But after I felt better. I started doing only dabs. Now, I dont really feel addicted to dabs the way I ever was with flower and I dont know if it's because its different than flower. Or just primarily because I was in a really bad spot.
    My point is that anything can be addictive. I used to carry a pen around as a teenager and would lose my shit if I couldnt find it. That was an addiction. It doesnt matter if the thing is actually addicting. It's all about your relationship with the thing.

      Thank you so much for sharing! Even if I wasn’t addicted, I still would have to stop since it was making me physically sick :(

    I’m so proud of you💕 you have made a wonderful decision for yourself. I’ve been through the same. Question: Are you and Frances still friends since you don’t smoke anymore? I just know that her whole life revolves around smoking. I saw that you don’t follow her other account so I’m not sure if you guys had a friendship solely based on smoking. I know you would never bash her or say anything bad about her I’m just soo curious about this. Some people will cut you off because you don’t do the same things as them anymore😫 much love💕

    cannabis hypermesis is actually becoming slightly more common in places weed is legal mostly (probably) due to the availability of very very potent products and more people using more weed; they don't really understand the condition well because of how little research on cannabis there has been for so long, and it is a pretty interesting medical thing- probably has some implications for the brain-gut connection n all;
    but also: cannabis is a "real drug" and as such effects individuals in different ways- all drugs do; for some people, it has great benefits, for others, not so much
