- Shelby American unveiled the 2024 Shelby Super Snake at the Barrett-Jackson event in Florida, heralding it as the most powerful iteration to date with over 830 horsepower. This limited edition model, built on the new S650 Ford Mustang platform, promises exceptional performance with enhancements in suspension, exhaust, brakes, and cooling. It embodies the legacy of Shelby's race-bred engineering, dating back to the historic Mark IV Ford GT, combining cutting-edge American muscle with high-speed track capability.
The 5.0L V8-powered Shelby Super Snake is offered in both 480 and 830+ (supercharged) horsepower versions, giving it super car capabilities. The suspension was tuned for sharper turn in and the exhaust for better air flow, while the brakes and cooling were enhanced to leverage the powertrain’s potential.

Down to the Mustang and Corvette for American V8 performance cars after this year so let's hope they both continue to push each other. Ford is going to have to step their game up to compete with the Corvette but I think they are just fine taking the entry market shares. Cool companies like Shelby America take these cars to the next level for us.
@@troyt5309 if you familiar with IMSA GT3 racing. You'll find the 1st year S650 Mustang GT3 is beginning to run with and ahead of the C8 Z06 R, the Porsche 911 GT3 and Aston Martin GT3. The Mustang GTD Supercar is being compared to McClaren Supercar. A homologation Mustang for the GT3 race car that will attempt to break the sub 7 minute lap record at the Nurburgring. Ford performance hasn't forgotten the NHRA while working on the new X-Class S650 that may replace the Cobra Jet or be added to it's stable. Ford also mentioned for 2025. The new 2026 S650 GT500 will return along with the new green covered Mustang shown during the Mustangs 60th anniversary gathering. A lot if speculations about that Mustang. Maybe a hybrid or a new Mustang Cobra. It's obvious Ford is building an arsenal of performance Mustangs. Ford's targets are providing an excellent S650 V8 Mustang GT for those wanting an affordable performance sports car and the upcoming S650 GT500 and GTD Mustang that will complete with the C8 Z06/ZR1 and other specialty sports cars and Supercar currently being sold.

Hi, I'm one. This tuned ford is also more expensive than any Telsa on the market by at least $25k, including their Cyberbeast pickup truck which also happens to have a faster 0-60.

Beautiful design. Mustang has always had style. The producers also managed to do it this year. For me, one big minus is the alarm clocks in the shape of the display, which spoils the beautiful (sporty - elegant design). In my opinion, hand-held alarm clocks are the basis of such sports cars. 🤔

God Bless America! I love Mustang/Shelby, I have an FN. I won’t update to this model for 2 reasons 1) the dashboard is an eye-sore iPad bolt-on. Did a lady ask for this? 2) did Ford copy the Hyundai tail light facelift?

I wish they'd design these touchscreen monitors properly into the dashboard instead of slapping them on top like an afterthought.
It was easy for them to fix the outward appearance of the car with a raised and vented hood and body panels, added spoilers etc, but there isn't much you can do with that blah interior. Maybe they can get a S550 dash to put back in these!?
@@troyt5309 I recall Mercedes started the trend with the E Class Coupe some time ago. BMW have done the same with the 3 Series, Kia with the Sportage and no doubt many more manufacturers too. Audi took a different approach with the current A6 and have done the same to the 2025 A3. Incorporating a traditional digital instrument cluster behind the steering wheel. And moulding a touchscreen into the dashboard. Granted, there's not much that tuning companies can do with the dashboard, we can only hope that the manufacturers start taking a different design approach in the future.

If it were under $100,000 yes but it won't be anywhere near those prices. The last version was $130,000+ I bet this is $150,000. Although I still want one, I'd be buying a C8Z in that price range.

My S650 doesn’t say Shelby on it, but has the same Whipple supercharger with 800 hp for a huge fraction of the price. Not saying I wouldn’t prefer the Shelby, but not everyone can afford a six figure car
