- In this video I finish the refurb of the rear subframe. Covering things like installing wheel cylinder circlips, handbrake cable attachment, exhaust hanger kit, new hi lo's and a load of other jobs

You've put the small part of the hand brake cable into the compensator bracket the wrong way round DB , looking good now its built up , good work.

The rear subframe isn't geniune because i bought it as part of a shell and parts lot. Had i bought it new I would have bought heritageThe front subframe and any panels i have used or still to buy are all heritage

Hi DB. Your video is great for people like me who will be going through the same process of putting the rear subframe assembly back together soon. I was wondering where you got the handy little tool for installing those frustrating little circlips on the back of the wheel cylinders. Your subframe looks so much better with the shiny enamel on it. It shouldn't rust for a while now.

Thanks Midge. The aim of the channel was always to help the mini community and for you guys/girls to help me along the way and I've made lots of new friends as a result of the mini youtube community. I got the tool from Ebay. Just searched classic mini circlip tool. Got it from minimine (ebay company) which i get a lot of parts through. Really good company. Cost just over £10 and worth every penny
That last nut on the handbrake cable is the wrong way round the nut flats should face the locking nut

Yes and they are the wrong sized nuts that came with it too, it had been assembled and shipped that way before i disassembled it but when it is fitted to the car there are a few other tweaks required and I'm sure i will find more on the way, thanks for pointing out
