I know a story about a guy working with a pto that started up and caught in the crotch of his jeans. It ended badly but not as badly as it might have, they had to construct him an artificial scrotum.
I put a hydraulic top link on my tractor along with my quick hitch. Hooking up and adjusting is super easy. The only time I have to get off the Tractor is to connect the PTO. Otherwise on all my implements I can hook up and adjust the angle while moving. For mowing or grading w the box blade I just move my hydraulic lever forward or backwards and keep going. You should look into it if you haven’t already. For me, being disabled, the hydraulic top link is a life saver. If I didn’t have it I would have to pay someone to cut my property and work my driveway etc.
Thanks for watching and the comment +Shawn C.! I have been researching a hydraulic top link for the last couple of months but have not made a final decision on which way to go. I already have the rear hydraulics available it is just a matter of getting the right hydraulic top link. If you don't mind sharing with me what you ended up going with, I would appreciate it. Thanks again!!!
Our Big House in the Little Woods that’s awesome! Great minds think alike! I’m not sure what size or brand mine Is. When I bought my tractor in 2010 (JD4120) I ordered it w it and the salesman picked it out. I’ll go out to the shop after while and see if there are any labels or stamps on it. I can send a picture at least if I can get an email or I could text it. Or if not a picture maybe the measurements? Length and diameter. Would that work? Once you get one you’ll wonder how you ever went without one. How can I reach you with a picture?
That would be great if you could send any info. If you are able to send a private message directly through our UA-cam home page that would be easiest and then I can get you are contact information. Thanks!!!
Our Big House in the Little Woods ok. I forgot to go out yesterday but I will today. I’m unable to send messages on my UA-cam for iPad for some reason so I’ll have to do that through my computer. It’s about 630a here I’ll do my best to get the info to you today.
Our Big House in the Little Woods for some reason I can’t send direct messages. I have pictures but I don’t know how to send them to you but I have the information off the hydraulic top link. The tag is partially rubbed of from use but here is what I can see. Made in Canada, Gearmore?????, Working pressure of 3000 psi, 30WD08-12????, 644749. That’s all that’s legible. It’s 12” long and 4” in diameter. It has been strong enough to handle every piece of equipment I have and mine is 43 hp. When you get one make sure to bring your tractor to whoever makes the hoses for it. Make sure that they don’t kink, bind or get hung on anything. I learned that the hard way Here’s Gearmores web page. www.gearmore.com/gearmore/orderportal/catalog_presentation/by_group/0/192/0/0/0/0/0 It doesn’t have my part number but it does list Tractor by brand and size. You might call em and see if they can help you I hope this will help you
I just bought an imatch and my pto shaft is short with the mower. Didn’t figure it out till I seen your video. It took a while to line it up. The bolts rubb
Thanks for watching and the comment +Lemar Butler! I hope you enjoy your iMatch!!! Thankfully we purchased our iMatch at the same time as we picked up the tractor and rotary mower so we had the correct length PTO shaft from the get go. I have heard others have had the same issue you had.
Thanks for the vid! Did you have to buy a longer PTO drive axle for the mower because of the quick hitch? Looks like the hitch puts the connection points a few inches out away from the tractor. Did the stock one work?
Thanks for watching +Shanae Smath! Great question! The PTO drive axle came installed with the rotary mower but you are correct, it is specifically designed to work with the extra length due to the quick hitch. So far all of our implements that require a PTO drive axle have been purchased directly through the John Deere dealership with the knowledge that we have a quick hitch. To date, I have not had any issues with things lining up and have been very happy. Thanks again for the question!
Thanks for the comment and watching +Sidney Mathious! We have truly enjoyed our tractor and the brush hog. It has made light work for many of the projects in maintaining the land around our house.
Thanks for "no music". I have no problem leaving the tractor run when connecting the PTO. Thanks for the video, but would like to see it in operation..at the end.
Thanks for watching and the comment +deernutOO! We have a number of other videos showing the equipment in operation, here are a few of our favorites: ua-cam.com/video/hFV-6UOr234/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/vCRg-Jl3l6Q/v-deo.html
Hi +A48L16S091366 and thanks for watching! What looks to be a tennis racquet is actually a low voltage electronic bug zapper. The mosquitos were so thick in the woods. This helped at least contain the bugs in the vicinity before they tried to bite.
Thanks for watching +231MasseyFerguson! For the most part the R4s have served us well but there have been times when I wish I had the R1 ag tires for traction in the mud or during winter months when operating in the snow.

You're absolutely right, safety always comes first! It's essential to turn off the tractor before connecting the PTO shaft to avoid any potential accidents. Thanks for emphasizing this crucial point! 🚜🛠️👍

Safety tip . . . NEVER connect to or work on the PTO with the engine running. NEVER!
I know a story about a guy working with a pto that started up and caught in the crotch of his jeans. It ended badly but not as badly as it might have, they had to construct him an artificial scrotum.
That´s what I was gunna say. I always shut it off.
Marvin L. Carver did it
Awesome Video...No B.S. Music or a lot of Blow Hard talk,n...Just straight to the point and straight to work👍👍.
Thanks for watching and the comment @Ricky Greer!
What size is that socket on top to take off blades. Is it 1 3/4?
Never connect the pto with tractor running
How long are those blades?

Will you show us what you did with the PTO? The rear tire blocked the view.
What's the biggest sapling I can cut with the RC2060?
I just bought the 2060. Dealer said up to one inch.
It depends the size/HP of your tractor

Are you so kind as to tell me the ratio of the gearbox multiplier and the diameter of the blades? (in metres thanks)
The iMatch Quick Hitch is great!
Thanks for watching zempelfamily! Yes, the John Deere iMatch Quick Hitch definitely saves time and works well with all of our attachments so far.
That seem to be a nice brush hog you all have there, and Frontier makes great equipment.

Love your setup. I'm kinda looking into the 3038e. I would get the R1 ag tires instead of the R4s.
